நடிகர் திலகம், மற்றும் சவுகார் ஜானகி இருவரின் நடிப்புக்கு மகுடம் சூட்டும் இசை சாம்ராஜ்யம். Double clarinets, strings section, Brass sections முடிவில் solo violin (சிவகுமார் உள்ளே போக சொல்லும் போது) அந்த ஒரு நிமிடம் முழுவதும் மெல்லிசை மாமன்னரின் ருத்ர தாண்டவம். நடிகர் திலகம் நடிப்பை பற்றி கேட்கவே வேண்டாம். இந்த படத்தின் இந்த காட்சி நான் சிறு வயது முதல் இன்று வரை ரசித்த,ரசிக்கும் காட்சி. இந்த படம் நடிகர் திலகத்தின் மணி மகுடத்தில் ஒரு வைரம்.
மெல்லிசை மாமன்னரின் பாடல்களும் (நாளை இந்த வேளை, என் கேள்விக்கென்ன பதில், அந்த நாள் ஞாபகம் போன்ற இனிய பாடல்கள்) பின்னணி இசையும் மெல்லிசை மாமன்னரின் மகுடத்தில் சூட்டப்பட்ட வைரக் கற்கள். காட்சிகளுக்கு ஜீவன் தரும் இசை கோர்ப்பு.

As a NADIGAR THILAGAM addict - I can tell that this is my most favourite segment - across all his films. It is futile even to think of any other actor even trying to do this role - such is the class and style of NADIGAR THILAGAM - that style of lighting a smoke at 1:44 and that entire stretch from 6:25 to 9:05 .... watch for that walk at 9:05! Each time I watch this segment -- especially that walk I marvel at the greatness of this greatest actor ever to be born! I would have watched this movie over a 100 times and that walk is just goosebumps moment! One Sun - One Moon - One and Only NADIGAR THILAGAM!

Harinee Madame, even superstar did not get any National Award even after acted in variety of roles (1975-1980), I can give lot of movies of Nadigar Thilagam and Superstar, Vijaykumar, Ajith Kumar, Raghuvaran, T.S.Balaiah, S.V.Ranga Rao, Ladies-Sowcar Janaki Amma, Vijaya Kumari Amma, Aachi Manorama, and later stage, Amala Paul - all these actors deserve National Award.

Absorbing. The only Actor who merged into the roles he had donned and completely distinguished himself from his normal individual self "V C GANESAN". Other actors act. But, he's the one who migrated into and transformed himself as those characters. The attire, the perfect "Rich man" Get-up, the eating style, the walk, the talk, the pauses in the dialogue delivery, the deafening silence after he shouts, slowly repenting for his roughness with his wife, the serious frame of mind reflecting in his facial expressions .... Watching the way he relishes thoroughly his Eating creates appetite to us too. Simply Superb. Method acting or Natural Acting or Theatrical Acting whatever one may name it , they were engrossing as it came to him spontaneously depending on the roles he donned and depending on the mood and the scene he performed in. He also inspired and made his co- actors too to come up with a good performance. MSV'Ss BGM Score for this entire frame is Superb. No one talked about MSV's great work because his Music Scores perfectly merged with the scenes and those scenes were totally gripping and his BGM didn't standout to show just gimmicks. The music score keeps on changing frame to frame depending on the moods and the conversations between the characters. Let those lopsided reviewers watch again all those classic films - sharpening their ears & opening their minds.
Vasudevan, I caught you here again 😆 Sivaji is my favorite too! He and MGR are the only 2 Tamil actors I can stand watching. (I can't speak much of the actors of the last 2 decades like Vikram/Vijai Sethupathy/Surya etc because I have not watched much of them and some never at all). I like MGR for his romance and light hearted moments in movies/songs and Sivaji for Sivaji himself. Yes, there are moments in many movies where he may have overacted but I choose to ignore those blemishes here and there (sometimes enjoy them too!) in favor of the meaty (Mango) pulp which is Him!!! They both looked good in any camera angle and that's a huge, huge advantage they had in addition to the huge charisma!!!
Of other actors/heroes of yester years that were/are popular in the 80's/90's/2000's and even now, I might as well shut up and not ruffle some feathers!

One more thing to be added is two different walking styles of Sivaji. After slapping sowcar, fast walking shows the anger and during return firm walking shows his understanding about wife’s natural thought and his realisation of mistake and MSV’s BGM for these two.

Legends roar like lions. In every frame Sivaji excels in expressions. Such style, body language, mannerism, royalty and dialogue delivery nobody can match him. Now a days acting became either over acting or artificial acting. He is (not was 'cause his movies are still alive) a full-package actor in every angle and dimension.
