I found the problem!! It is not the fuel injector, it is the electro valve on the injection pump. Make a diagnosis test after the engine stops after the first start in the morning. God luck fellows.
The combustible filter seal is to blame. Because when the engine is off and it is not started for a few hours, the filter will defuse. Try to undo the fuel filler cap and change the gasket, but be careful when putting the lid back over the new gasket. Do not catch it Cap and fuel filter holder. Good luck!
Cosmin Gugu was nothing to do with any seal. The filter itself what he used was a third party one. Witch isnt good. They have a huge amount of mesh that restricts the oil from entering the filter itself. It had high oil pressure hence why it choked and cut out
The problem can be from two sensors. One located in the camshaft area or one located in the cranckshaft area. My Astra has the same problem, and after investigations it turned out to be the cranckshaft sensor. This sensor receives impulses from the crankshaft's revolutions, and sends it back to the computer, that sends this impulses back to the fuel system. If the sensor's not working, the computer is not reading any impulses, and no fuel goes into the engine. The engine will start eventually, but the electromotor wears out more rapidly than it normaly should.
I had the crankshaft positioning sensor replaced and I still have problems starting. It clicks several times (some days) and then eventually starts. It's a pain!

I have the same problem had the cambelt changed, fuel filter change, glow plugs changed, cam shaft sensor changed, crank shaft alignment altered erg valve changed. It started better for 6 months then it's gotten worse now it's draining the battery now trying to stay it. By the way got a new battery also any ideas what's up

I have the same problem with my ASTRA H GTC 1.7 CDTI, not every time but 3-4 times per week the engine was turning off few second after start. I changed the fuel filter and now it start without problem. In my case the solution was new fuel filter.
All i did was changing the Diesel Fuel Filter back to one of the Original Fuel Filters. Don't use cheaper third party Fuel Filters!! It wasn't the Fuel Pump! It wasn't the EGR/AGR! There wasn't any Air in the Filter! If the car stands longer than 12 hours with a not Original Filter then it's hard to start the Engine. After i changed back to ORIGINAL FUEL FILTER the car was starting and running even after 3 days of not driving it!

I had the same problem and I think I changed the fuel filter 3 times in a row in a year! I never thought that the original one has good results. Will do that soon. Anyway, Opel cars are crappy, because they have lots of other problems, that’s why in the future I’ll avoid it!
fuel pump problem. when you start the car it works fine, and if you start it every few hours it will work fine. if you dont start the car in period of 10-12 hours the problem returns. it is a presure fuel pump problem. i had mine fixed in bosch service for 250€. it can be refubrished, and you dont need to buy a new one. it is a big job because pump is conected to timeing belt, and whole thing has not got easy acces. it is located at botom right corner of engine bay. do not try to repair on your own. it is a specialist job.

I fix the same problem. In my vauxhall car just change the diesel filter and make sure ut is close properly pump the diesel from the tank that is the solution
+Ditlir Isa no its not the AGR ventil. it was cleaned out. the fuel filter did not have a real vacum to keep the diesel inside there. the car would start. use the diesel in the fuel lines from the engine to the fuel filter. then it would just stop after all the diesel was used. because there was no vacum in the fuel filter it caused the diesel to run back to the tank. so it had to be started a few times to the diesel pressure was up again and the fuelfilter filled up with diesel agian.

touareg91m well diesels are suppose to sound a little loud. A quiet dti or cdti engine is actually bad. They always sound loud or slight tappet sound. He replaced the fuel filter. i have no clue buddy. its my dad's car. he tried to change the diesel filter house, completley. but then the car wouldnt crank up at all anymore. so im guessing you need something chipped for this filterhouse. i think the filterhouse is not really closed and then somewhere might be a little gap where air comes in at night into the vacuum where the dieselfilter sits.
what we tried is now opening the dieselhouse. then we poured some diesel into it until it was fully after a diesel filter change and now we will see if that helped it. maybe the vacuum isnt strong enough.
Told the garage about the filter top says he will look at it but is fitting a lift pump in the tank wot will do same job he says. my fingers are crossed

no its been fine now. i changed the diesel fuel filter to a thrid party filter. then it started to do the things shown in the video. but it all stopped now after i changed it back to an original diesel fuel filter. its just a few bucks more but worth it.

Szia! Igen, H Astra-m, van 2005-ös, 1.7 CDTI, Z17DTH motorkódú. Erre a problémára nincs hibakód nekem. Én beszereztem egy OBD-s kódkiolvasót azzal néztem. Sajnos vannak hibakódjaim, nagyjából tudom is hogy miért de szerintem azok ettől függetlenek. Abból gondolom mert ha mondjuk este kitörlöm a hibákat majd reggel indítom és persze leáll utána nincs benne semmi hiba.
Believe it or not, i had a similar issue on my astra, it would also start and die after few seconds and then it wouldnt start for like 30 seconds of trying I changed the clutch and flywheel and now it starts like a brand new car without dying Mine has 300,000 kms tho
I had this problem in january and changing the fuel filter was my solution. This friday it happened again for a few times so I went to the mechanic who said the fuel filter case may take up some air. He told me to park the car with the engine faced down for a few days, so the 'air bubbles' will go up (science fact) at the end of the pipes. Did this and the car starts normal now, and I was sure this was the problem, but reading your comment just makes me think maybe I have another problem, not the faulty filter case. Can you tell me if the crank sensor error shows up in the diagnose log? Thank you!

Its the crankshaft position sensor mate. Got the same problem now. Do a pedal test get your codes and search them up you'll probably find a 33529 CODES on the ecu

EGR :) i had the same start problem :) You can use PLAK to the air filter to start the engine

Got the same problem. Car is smoking out the back when trying to start not excessively but it is there. And you can smell diesel
Throttle body on mine got damaged when I cleaned the egr valve got a second hand throttle body and it started like it should

when you change the fuel filter on these you MUST prime the filter housing with diesel or it will not start .

Nele Reynaerts this wasnt crank shaft sensor related. It was fuel filter

its a 100 percent in german its called agr ventil. its close. i had the Same problem

I think the pipes near the diesel filter are punctured, or the diesel filter's sealing. Try to see those two pipes. good luck

Yes he says he has had the spring off the filter top found in the bottom were filter goes in seems to no wot he's doing it hope ha ha
tell him to use original filters and sealings from GM/opel/vauxhall or from whatever country you are from

Believe it or not, i had a similar issue on my astra, it would also start and die after few seconds and then it wouldnt start for like 30 seconds of trying
I changed the clutch and flywheel and now it starts like a brand new car without dying
Mine has 300,000 kms tho
mine is on 311.000 or around that

I had this problem in january and changing the fuel filter was my solution. This friday it happened again for a few times so I went to the mechanic who said the fuel filter case may take up some air. He told me to park the car with the engine faced down for a few days, so the 'air bubbles' will go up (science fact) at the end of the pipes. Did this and the car starts normal now, and I was sure this was the problem, but reading your comment just makes me think maybe I have another problem, not the faulty filter case. Can you tell me if the crank sensor error shows up in the diagnose log? Thank you!
Ciprian M. Yes it should be there(the error code for crank sensor). You run out of diesel thats why you had that issue.
Never ran out of fuel, happened to me with full tank, half tank and so on...
if ur engine struggles to start like in this video, it's a common fault for astra (crank sensor).
I will ask the mechanic to run some tests. I`ll keep you updated. Thanks for the info!

Si eu am aceeasi problema cu masina, acum o am in service, invarte dar nu porneste, brusc a inceput sa faca treaba asta, cei de la service au schimbat filtru de motorina cu tot cu carcasa, au amorsat pompa si apoi a pornit..... problema a fost ca, dupa ce au oprito si au lasato 3 ore, iar nu a mai pornit... din cate mi-au zis ceva dezamorseaza pompa de combustibil si nu trage cat trebuie, si incearca sa afle ce face treaba asta . Aveti aceeasi problema ?

GM Opel Dieselfilter rein anstatt MANN&Hummel Filter und Original Opel Dichtung dafür und das wars...
