Would it be a good Idea you think to add some type of grease to the plastic molding before pooping it in to help it last longer?

Thank you for publishing this How To. Lexus dealer wanted to charge me $900 (parts & labor, not a typo) and just replaced mine myself for $125 (parts & did not charge myself labor :) ) I have a 2009 ISF and that is the only part on the car that has aged ungracefully.
Where did you order from? Dealership was telling me 109 each one so like 250 cdn with no clips or Amazon 300 with clips. EBay wasn’t any better

I managed to clean and secure 4 of the 5 new clips. The bottom clip is the only one that doesn’t seem to click in place. Any recommendations on how to get it to secure correctly?

I know this is old so I am not sure if this will be read or not but I will post anyway.
I had a new windshield replaced new clips but the old molding was bad so I told them not to put it back in . I bought new OEM molding and installed them but the tops of both moldings after a short while will pop out I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if they figured out how to fix it
What are the names of the clips ? I can’t find them on eBay .
