Deer aren't entirely color blind. They can see Blues and Greens. Orange and Red sometimes show up as Grey or Brown to deer. Movement or rather lack of movement is the key to a really good hunt. Some hunting in Scotland is done with tattersall shirts and ties.
It’s exciting to hear about the Genesis collection coming out. Having a representation of the pre clan colors will help expand the appreciation of what our ancestors may have worn. 2025 will be an exciting year and am looking forward to it.

Kilt mistakes: My mom proudly wore the "family colors" as a high school English Literature and French language teacher for decades, as well as to 3 clan gatherings in Pitlochry. She was almost 92 when she died from a subdural hematoma she sustained whilebringing a double-armload of firewood in to the cottage from the woodshed and stumbling against the stone fireplace. My sister selected Mom's Robertson Red Tartan kilt and waistcoat for the funeral home casket viewing, but was horrified when she arrived to assess the undertaker's handiwork and discovered the PLEATS IN FRONT. (She didn't have the heart to correct him, however).
