The way certain people are complaining that this season is “woke bs” infuriates me! We’ve all seen some show or movie that sounds like ChatGPT wrote the script how they think a modern 16 year old would speak about politics but this show feels grounded and authentic. These are real problems that real communities face and I think they’re doing a good job portraying the tension in a real way
@@sarahsarahsarah9093 It is woke bs, every single male character is weak and either evil or stupid, while constantly taking pot shots at white people. As a canadian I feel like I can understans the show as well.... The murdered indigenous woman...as well as the 'Cold long nights" and the rural and isolated town.
I think when Connely told Danvers to keep that “on a need to know basis’ he was referring to the video of Annie K, not the fact that the scientist died before they froze.
@@valeriee3039 Go back and watch the scene again. Its 100% about the Annie video and her connecting the 2 crimes. She tells him about the unauthorized forensic and he says " I dont want to know what that means" then she says "im treating this as a murder case, you saw the Annie video I sent you" and that's when he says " You keep that on a need to know basis"
There was a part where Connelly watered a plant in Liz's place and the plant was dying. When you mentioned the mercury in water theory, the dying plant could hint to that. Or shows that Liz can't take care of anything well, if unrelated.
No one has said at any time on the show that any particular chemical is polluting anything. Just that the water changed color and they don't want to drink it cuz who wants to drink brown water. No one had mentioned it being toxic with a chemical or that mercury or lead or whatevrr is in it
This is getting frustrating...we have more questions than answers and 2 episodes left. I feel like we aren't going to get closure or a cohesive story/mystery...
Also...the orange and blue symbolism that's all over this season....it's a clear call out to the duality of Navarro's messed up mind. I hope I'm wrong, and the mystery is better than that. I'm afraid I'm so right though.
I posted something similar. The sad truth, especially if you read all the inane rhetoric the creator of this season has been posting online, is that we are going to be EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the season.
Feminist activist showrunner. Does this continue to surprise people when they yet again put out a piece of hot trash, then claim anyone who doesn't like it is racist and misogynistic?
@@ryanbrets7695 How is that obvious? Still very possible that things mostly stay grounded but there are clear hints that what really ties S4 to S1 is that some type of Lovecraftian force tied to the cult DOES exist.
The next episode actually comes out a few days early this Friday, to avoid the Super Bowl conflict. HBO did this last year with The Last of Us and the Super Bowl. and they included a note about the schedule change on Max before and after the show. The season finale will be the week after the Super Bowl, so there will be five days between episodes four and five, but nine days between episodes five and six.
The town's water is the logical explanation because we know the mine HAS to be involved. Sure, the chemicals could cause delirium and hallucinations, but how would it cause everyone to have the same type of hallucinations/actions?
Ahh yes True Detective is known for its “logical explanations”……. If the “Night Country” turns out to be the towns water I’m pretty sure everyone is going to shun this show forever.
About the hallucinations, everyone that has showed signs of are somewhat tied to the K case , that's why they all keep tripping about the same thing lol
my biggest leading theory is that this won't be a one and done season, I don't think the case will be wrapped up in one season. I think they changed the name to differentiate from the anthology series so they could have multiple seasons. I think it'll end on huge cliffhanger.
They better wrap it up in one season because this show is so horrible that it's become a comedy for me and my friends and we make sure to watch it every week for the laughs 😅. It's like a marvel feminist superhero show of delusion. It's extremely difficult to watch just because of how stupid it truly is lol. This will definitely not have a second season even if it's already filmed.. They aren't going to release it anywhere but the app lol.. I mean this season of true detective truly is comically horrible. I have no idea how it's getting the reviews it's getting. I'm literally rolling laughing the entire time. I don't understand how people can watch it and take it seriously. It feels like satire to me😅
The closed captions say the screams Liz hears are from the Annie K video. The episode preview seems to confirm that Liz is concerned Leah is making herself a target by participating in the mine protests. Liz is drawing a parallel between Annie K and Leah and fears Leah could be murdered for her stance against the mine so Liz recalls the screams out of that fear.
Exactly! Liz has been trying to prevent Leah from being involved with anything indigenous as well as the protests because she’s scared of losing the only family she has!
There is no way someone found Navarro's sister on Christmas Eve out there in the dark.of Alaska. That took me out of the episode, its completely implausible. If she drowned, like it was mentioned, then she probably wouldn't have been found at all. I like this season, but I can't get over that plot hole.
This season has been great, but leaving some key storylines to be desired. The core mystery of the death of the scientists is in the backseat. The story should dig deeper into what they were researching. Throw in some flashbacks before the deaths and give more context. Same goes for the mine itself. We're 4 episodes in and the mine seems crucial to the story but we barely know anything about it. The owner of the mine has appeared twice in the show and I barely knew who she was
Screams were her recalling the video on the cellphone. She’s imagining her protester stepdaughter receiving a similar fate. The “need to know” remark was about Liz having that cellphone video not the veterinarian’s theory that the scientist’s died before freezing.
Liz listens to static on both her headphones and on a sound machine because she likely has tinnitus. Same reason Hank tells Peter to speak up in episode 1. My theory is that Navaro shoots Wheeler and this gunshot give Liz tinnitus. Also, as for more scientific explanations for weird happenings, infrasound is extremely long wavelength sound waves that can't be consciously heard by humans, but causes feelings of intense fear. Climate change or shifting tectonic activity could be causing the sea ice to shift, making extreme amplitude infrasound waves, causing fear and hallucinations, along with burst eardrums. Complete shot in the dark, just a thought.
Infrasound was my second theory, after a microbial outbreak, something similar to Havana Syndrome. With radios being involved in some way when weird stuff happens, I think it might be done on purpose, like the conspiracy theories about HAARP, being a mind control project.
The fact she's lost a child, and no one likes her or wants to work with her despite her skills as a detective places her in the same category as Russ Cole from the first season.
I think they really need to at least hint at something Lovecraftian actually existing to tie to Season 1’s creepiness (and recontextualize some of its scenes like Rust seeing the spiral in Carcosa in a cool way). They simply have not earned some “Psych!! It’s just science, we fooled you!” ending…
There might be something with kavvik. There was an intential moment where Navarro shows him the spiral stone, and he asks what it is. Maybe he’s lying? Then when Navarro sees Danvers the next day she doesn’t have it, as she left it with kavvik. Maybe nothing but it was intentional the show showed those interactions.
Anybody else notice that Rose only appears to/talks to Navarro? Even in Episode 1 when Rose finds the frozen scientists, Danvers walks right by Rose without speaking to her, almost as if she doesn’t see her. Only Navarro speaks to her. And since we know Navarro sees the dead…
First, how the bleep are you able to get such a detailed video minutes after the episode is released? Second, I thought it was hysterical that they're playing the cell phone screaming in the middle of the hospital hallway and no one notices. "Just another day here, no need to worry".
I have a feeling that the next episode Danvers and Navarro got close to solving the case that higher ups took them off and the ending episode takes place in the future where it has Danvers give her video testimony, and it's a flashback episode.
Message shown at the end of the Ep5 Trailer stated Ep5 will be released on Max this Friday (2/9) at 9PM EST instead of Super Bowl Sunday. Thanks for the great reviews!
Is it possible that what's happening might relate to sedna? (or sanna)? The whale bones from this episode reminded me of a myth from Inuit and other cultures. The drawing Prior's kid makes in the first episode is of a girl with her fingers cut off - and in sednas myth she is drowned and has her fingers cut off when she tries to save herself, and in most versions of the myth her fingers become the seals, walruses and whales of the sea. What if the "she" everyone is talking about is somehow related to or referencing Sedna? Maybe?
Hank is involved. He had the records of the girl. He wants to hunt the remaining scientist and is open to the idea of killing him. He seems frantic to get to people before the detectives do and seems to inadvertently mess up their steps every chance he gets.
idk. he may have knowledge that turns out to be important but i don’t see him as like, the killer. no one “frantic” spends hours on Tinder. he seems more preoccupied with his fake Russian fiancée than anything else.
I agree. I think both Hank and Peter are involved. I think the catfishing is to make us think he is incapable of doing something and getting away with it. (Side note: Don't think Liz is really on Tinder. I think she's catfishing Hank). Peter seems to have had issues with his girlfriend/wife for a while now. Particularly him working "long" hours. Before the scientists' deaths, what would cause him to be working all hours of the night?
I have been trying to figure this thing out since Episode 1. Its feeling like season 2 all over again. Please bring back Marty and Russ. Please o Please. I'm convinced season 1 will forever be a treasure.
The biggest crime in this episode was Danvers throwing away that prepared turkey. This episode didn't have much going on until the last 15 minutes. Two episodes left. This better pay off.
Just my opinion here. So I believe the polar bear is her Hudson’s “spirit animal” that Liz makes fun of navaro for. They also really lay into 3 types of spirits. 1) who miss us 2) They have something they need to tell/show us. 3) ones that want to take you with them. I think that is what we are seeing. I believe Hudson is a spirit trying to tell them something! To help. He is trying to lead people and protect them. I think that navaro’s mom will be the type that MISSES her. And the “she’s awake” is the one that will want to take them with her. Whoever this ends up being. My opinion!
I also believe that the ice cave is something that solal decided to dig under an indigenous burial ground. (Thus the elephant bones) and I think Annie discovered that and was going to expose them and so they killed her. I think they dug the tunnel because earlier episodes the geologist teacher mentioned that the microbes they were looking for (the origin of life) were hard to find because they were UNDER the ice cap.
Interesting although Navarro’s mother seems more the type to want to take people (first Julia, perhaps next Navarro with her concussed talk of the curse).
I think Liz hears Annie screaming in her head fearing for Leah and her insistence on protesting the mine. I think Hank being stood up makes him a dangerous person with nothing to lose. Liz's boss takes her and Navarro off the case because Navarro gets reported harassing mine workers and Liz's stepdaughter had vandalized mine. Also, because Hank probably files a spiteful Mrs. Robinson report on Liz.
I’m sure you’ve said it but IF there are supernatural bearings present, the high mercury levels is a red-haring for the being that they woke up at the mine. Multiple characters say “SHE woke up” or something similar. The symptoms these people are experiencing are either heightened or instilled directly from that being. Especially if it The Yellow King, never heard them being described as a female but eh whatever. Most if not all beings from HP Lovecraft stories FORCE you to go insane just by witnessing just a bit of them or maybe even knowing the existence of them in the area.
So something I thought odd was how Liz is talking to Otis, and they cut to her walking to then talking to Navarro, then back to Otis, then back to her with Navarro, as if they were both going on at the same time. Is it really Liz talking to Navarro? Or just odd editing to help make things seem odder?
Liz's step-daughter is called Leah, not Lee! Also I thought Liz hearing screams once she leaves Leah's room is because she's thinking of the video of Annie and not wanting Leah to risk a similar fate by getting more in touch with her culture and the protests about the mines.
Don’t forget, in Godfather world, an orange precedes the characters death. I really hope this doesn’t turn out to be a ‘we need to treat the planet with respect’, assuming the mercury story line is true
So I discovered something that seems to be way to similar not to have some connection... I started watching Echo, and the opening creation scene has the exact same spiral in turquoise water and mirrored above in earth. It also happens deep in the earth in a cave. The explanation for it is, in some Native American cultures, the spiral symbol seen on Chafa's palms represents life's journey, growth and eternity, relating to existence on Earth. The Hopi Tribe of Arizona call this the "Healing Hand," and believe the symbol to carry the powers of the tribe's Shaman, someone who has access the worlds of good and evil spirits. Rose said the symbol was older than Ennis, ancient, this ties into that neatly. I now have to go research the creation story for the Inupiak.
I feel like there has to be an actual supernatural element to the plot. I feel like Scooby Doo’ing the story would be almost disrespectful to the native culture being depicted because it would invalidate their beliefs
OK here’s another theory it may be a little far-fetched, as this is supposed to be a true life Detective show, but it kind of feels like this is the way it’s going. The professor at the research lab wrote on the white whiteboard, “ We are all dead”. What if they are and they’re just kind of living in purgatory. It would really explain a lot and maybe Holden, her son and her husband are alive and they’re the ones that are dead. Maybe they all died from mass poisoning from the water. It’s just a crazy theory, but you just never know which way the writers are going to go with this story.
Near the end when Navarro arrives at Danvers door, then they drive to the dredge. It looks quite bright outside. Isn't it still supposed to be polar night?
I ❤ the Catfish theory😂….That would add a little dark comedy to a serious drama. It would show how dark and demented Liz is. Ha! P.S. I think the one eyed polar bear is actually Liz’s son because he looked at Liz way too long like he was checking in on his mom. When Navarro almost crashed and saw the one eyed polar bear she was also driving her trooper car almost as if Liz’s son is looking for mom’s trooper car.
Missed information: Ep 1 When Liz is standing next to the DVDs, the movie "The Thing" magically appears next to her when it wasn't there a few seconds earlier. There was a a red and black cased DVD in that spot. Hard to believe this was a continuity mistake. In addition, the books in Clark's room are sci fi and have a consistent theme about the earth dying, humanity trying to escape from or save a dying earth, etc.
After Danvers throws her daughter in the room , it’s Annie’s screams from the video rattling in Liz’s head because she sees her daughter meeting the same fate Annie did.
U really need to watch the show w/ Closed Captions on. If ur breakdowns are already this amazing w/out watching the show w/ CC, just imagine how even more amazing they would be if u did have CC on and u could be “seeing” the sounds/words that are happening in the background instead of spending time trying to figure them out while doing ur videos. Like I said, ur breakdowns are fantastic, but u would be able to answer ur own questions, sort of speak, if u just put CC on.😀
Ep 1 When Liz is standing next to the DVDs the movie "The Thing" magically appears next to her when it wasnt there a few seconds earlier. Its a a red cased DVD in that spot. Hard to believe it was a continuity mistake considering its one of the driving force behind the story. I have yet to see anyone comment about it.
I thought it had potential, but at this point things should be starting to come together. Really worried it will end as a mess and not stick the landing as you said.
I think this all revolves around a black budget program where-by they are keeping bodies alive in microorganism deposits in the ice - as it's been mentioned that extracing them is difficult. The victims are in a sleep state. The microorganisms can stop cellular decay, but it doesn't regenerate them. Much of the psychic phenomenon may be just that. Clark may have powers as a medium, therefore the guys at the station put up with his craziness. I think Travis, the guy who allegedly had leukemia and jumped in the ice to kill himself - is still alive in "sleep" and was pulled from the freezing water to be tested on. His GF who said she was a professor may have some involvement with the station. This is just one example of a psychic connection between a victim and a loved one who is still alive.
Does anyone remember a mentioning of Connelly and Danvers affair being sun ‘19 years’ in the first episode.. along with the comment of Danvers cheating with Kate’s husband.. we’re Kate and Connelly together at one point in the past!?!?
Julia dropping the tray and having a mental breakdown was in Ep. 2. You even commented on it. So, the scene wasn't cut or a flashback as you opine in your "Trailer Sleuthing" segment.
I was liking this show at first, but there is way too much filler in each episode. I get they are trying to add depth to the characters, but so little happens and actually progresses in each episode. If you’re going to do that, you have to make it more compelling. They’re also just connecting it to create conversation, which is kind of tricking the audience which is annoying since it’s probably not going anywhere. These last two episodes, even if they are great, will still make the series pacing so lopsided. They could have cut so much out.
The fact there's ONLY 6 EPISODES pisses me off here as i honestly can't see all the characters plot lines being resolved apart from the 2 main officers, the murders and the break down of other characters relationships with anyone they are close to. I'm 100% certain NIGHT COUNTRY will be a 2 SEASON show
I really hope you're right about 2 seasons. I'm having flashbacks to Killing Eve season 4, where at this same point I felt this same way. There are way too many open subplots and characters and questions that just bring more questions. There's no way 2 eps can tie all this up in any satisfactory way, and now THAT has become my main thought about it, not "Who's the killer?".
What is strange in this episode is that there are shots where theres daylight...or dusk atleest. When they walk to the trunger at the end its not fully night time and certainly theres lightoutside when she throws the toy polar bear out
If I remember correctly at one of the first episodes we see Rose clearly discussing with Navarro about the spiral symbol and she seems to know something about it! Why Navarro doesn't ask her ever again about it?
I wonder if it’s important to note that Navarro seems to go by different names to different people. Her name is Evangeline. Qavvik sometimes calls her Eve, another time G. Her sister calls her Angie. Those could all be derived from Evangeline, I suppose, but Rose calls her Missy. Why does no one else ever speak to Rose? It’s almost like she’s not real. Also, she had a lot of food prepared and the food there is pretty expensive. That’s a little strange. One more thing .. the girl with the red hair and eye patch. What if her cornea is burned as well?
A character that intrigues me is Hank, played by John Hawkes. It seems his storyline flies under the radar but still there is something about him that I feel is tied to everything that goes on. An anger and a disdain resonates in him. 🤔 perhaps his involvement is much deeper than we the viewers are lead to believe, at least for now.
Sorry if this is mentioned, but I think Annie kept their relationship a secret because she was using him to get information, and needed to keep the mining people from knowing she was snooping (if she outed their relationship they would know she was up with all that research). Hairdresser says Annie was unusually adament that she go to the research station with her (because she needed to snoop and finding a dude to secretly date is a great excuse to be up there). Raymond says that she was looking through his paperwork to find who was funding them, then found everything else. She also IMMEDIATELY hits Raymond when shes attacked, though he pulled the guy off. That means she doesn't trust him.
In the good old days, there were the cosby mysteries. There was an episode where someone had set up something so that the heat from an incandescent light bulb would heat mercury causing the vapor to be inhaled and leading to them having some some sort of reaction that caused them to jump out a window maybe? The point was they had apparently caused their own death when it was actually caused by someone else. There was a movie from the 1970's called Prophecy that gets overshadowed by a similarly named Christian propaganda movie withy many lazy sequels. It was a sort of environmental horror movie where a paper mill was poisoning the area somewhere that was beautiful, forested and home to Indigenous Americans and bears. I think the implication was that mercury was causing mutations. I need to watch that again. There were mutant bears. At least and adult and a cub. The adult was doing what mutant bears do in horror movies. The word concerted does not mean deliberate, or intentional. Concert, in concert, concerted, it is about individuals working together. It may be argued your use us still valid because TV, movies are collaborative arts. That would simply make the use redundant and unnecessary. People will argue anything these days because it is more important to protect ones ego than to grow. That way humanity can go extinct faster. That is a noble cause in itself. The Tesla cars are a humorous element since so many people have been discovering that they were not designed for the cold because Elon and his engineers are imbeciles. The laundry list of flaws, failures, and errors on those vehicles are seemingly in a competition with elon musk and his list of flaws, failures, and errors. At least the cars don't have a pile of children that will grow up to be psychopaths or publicly hate him. Police Officers are rarely punished for anything unless they are BIPOC or there is enough public reaction that they have to sacrifice someone to the public. Sometimes they effectively just relocate them to another town so they can continue their abuse and/or sex crimes there. Well, as long as they are white and male. Maybe in Canada things are a little bit different but Canada hates the First Nations people so much. I am assuming that they stopped killing them for the sake of conservation so they could have more mass graves in the future. They switched to Starlight Tours and letting the women and girls get kidnapped and ignoring them. Maybe if Navaro was technically off duty? There was a white guy that got into trouble for shooting a black guy holding sandwiches. He was not on duty and the black man wasn't the person the marshalls were seeking so he faced consequences. The police facing real consequences is really an anomoly. If the homeless people getting caught up in the sweeps these big cities are doing were getting rounded up and murdered. The city could not only get away with it for years, but a lot of citizens would praise it. A lot of people that would assert that they are liberals/deomocrats and therefore good, superior people would be praising it. The baby liberals would say it's bad. That's only because they don't have the wealth yet.
In season 1 they’ve kept mentioning that Rustin Cohle had “visions” and see things ! And also had a power over the criminals he can tell if they’re guilty or not

She was hallucinatinating well before that.
I think its deffs related to the ear bleeding tho.
She acts like someone with head trauma anyway. When she’s not acting emotionally unhinged. Excellent qualities for a law enforcement officer.
She also faced a traumatic experience when her sister unalived herself. She has many reasons to hallucinate 🤔

Yeah he’s back because of that video not because of everything going on in the town
Agree, he was talking about the video
I think it refers to the unauthorized vet diagnosis and not an actual forensic specialist.
This!!
There was a part where Connelly watered a plant in Liz's place and the plant was dying. When you mentioned the mercury in water theory, the dying plant could hint to that. Or shows that Liz can't take care of anything well, if unrelated.
He also sniffed the water before pouring it
Making sure it wasn't alcohol
*Liz's boss waters her dead plant.*
*Corneal discoloration is a symptom of mercury poisoning.*

Imagine watching this season after episode two dropped........yikes

Well, I’m sure HBO is thrilled. Hispanic writer/director/showrunner. Completely incompetent, but woke AF.

It's almost Superbowl? how many superbowl are there?
Crazy its already been a year since TLOU
The town's water is the logical explanation because we know the mine HAS to be involved. Sure, the chemicals could cause delirium and hallucinations, but how would it cause everyone to have the same type of hallucinations/actions?
Ahh yes True Detective is known for its “logical explanations”……. If the “Night Country” turns out to be the towns water I’m pretty sure everyone is going to shun this show forever.
About the hallucinations, everyone that has showed signs of are somewhat tied to the K case , that's why they all keep tripping about the same thing lol
ppl looking for logical explanations. pls XD
why does the mine have to be involved?
@@teddiemkhangwana1849 Because it's almost another character in the story. It's the connecting thread to a lot of people and events.
my biggest leading theory is that this won't be a one and done season, I don't think the case will be wrapped up in one season. I think they changed the name to differentiate from the anthology series so they could have multiple seasons. I think it'll end on huge cliffhanger.
Maybe, I thought it was gonna be 8 episodes but still hoping it'll end well
I hope so. There are plenty of unresolved questions but this series is still dynamite.
Damned.....fuckin hope you are wrong😅😅🤣
I hope so! I think there’s too much going on to wrap up in only 3 more episodes.
Liz is drawing a parallel between Annie K and Leah and fears Leah could be murdered for her stance against the mine so Liz recalls the screams out of that fear.
this is a really good observation. thank you!!
I was convinced maybe she wasnt dead, and im still not convinced but that's because shes the inky dead body we haven't seen yet
Due to car accident
Russ was a much better detective, in my opinion.

I think they really need to at least hint at something Lovecraftian actually existing to tie to Season 1’s creepiness (and recontextualize some of its scenes like Rust seeing the spiral in Carcosa in a cool way). They simply have not earned some “Psych!! It’s just science, we fooled you!” ending…
if they do some “mining has caused hallucinations” bullcrap i’ll be mad
💯 their better be some connection to something deeper than they all were drugged. Some connection to the turtles, some old God, something.
Note: Liz hallucinated the one eyed polar bear after kissing Conolly, who seconds before, rinsed his mouth out with tap water.
Well spotted.
FACTS
There might be something with kavvik. There was an intential moment where Navarro shows him the spiral stone, and he asks what it is. Maybe he’s lying? Then when Navarro sees Danvers the next day she doesn’t have it, as she left it with kavvik. Maybe nothing but it was intentional the show showed those interactions.
What is he lying about?
Navarro "pretends" to have lost it, not to have left it somewhere.
He is the only sane one on this show besides Pete.
I think this also might be foreshadowing something might happen with Kavvik, either he is in danger or might be framed
Good catch!

I have a feeling that the next episode Danvers and Navarro got close to solving the case that higher ups took them off and the ending episode takes place in the future where it has Danvers give her video testimony, and it's a flashback episode.

Note Julia rips her coat off in the beginning yet neatly folds her clothes at the tunda.

The video malfunction with the "power cut out" seems more like an EMP effect on the recording electronics themselves, not just a power cut.

Rust and Marty need to show up and save it.

So something I thought odd was how Liz is talking to Otis, and they cut to her walking to then talking to Navarro, then back to Otis, then back to her with Navarro, as if they were both going on at the same time. Is it really Liz talking to Navarro? Or just odd editing to help make things seem odder?
The slowmo of Jules throwing down the tray was sick lol.
Gotta agree, i didn't expect to emphasize with Hank at any point it the season.
Think you mean "empathize"
Can't wait to find out who actually cat fished him lol, it wasn't some fictional mail order bride.
The catfishing is clearly Prior, his son… Clearly.
maybe Danvers son got injured in the eye, in the accident that took his life...

Don’t think this show will stick the landing, dont think the takeoff was that good either
I thought it had potential, but at this point things should be starting to come together. Really worried it will end as a mess and not stick the landing as you said.
When Peter was cutting the ice, look and his right boot.

The screams are a reminder of what happened to Annie K and she doesn't want Leah to suffer the same fate.
She wasn't roaming around, she walked straight for the ocean to kill herself ffs
What is strange in this episode is that there are shots where theres daylight...or dusk atleest. When they walk to the trunger at the end its not fully night time and certainly theres lightoutside when she throws the toy polar bear out
They’re releasing the next episode on Friday if you have Max or HBOGo
How do you have this so soon? Bravo!

Question: What tune is the Christmas Tree playing at the end of Episode 4? Is it Twist and Shout?

A character that intrigues me is Hank, played by John Hawkes. It seems his storyline flies under the radar but still there is something about him that I feel is tied to everything that goes on. An anger and a disdain resonates in him. 🤔 perhaps his involvement is much deeper than we the viewers are lead to believe, at least for now.
GREAT. recap of episodes 4.
Why do I kinda want Lizz catfishing Hank to be true!

I don’t know if it means anything but did anyone notice that Navvaro’s black eye is similar to the polar bears missing eye?
