If you watch closely, the statute of Yi was there in the beginning when he enters the palace court yard, just not fully shown in focus, in the Honor of Kings episode.
The AI in Honor of Kings can see the future but what you must understand is that he is also bound by the rules he states. Remember he tells the kid that no matter the choice he makes in the the mirror shows the inevitable conclusion. You the viewer see the story through the lens that the AI can't be beaten that it is outside of the rules. Outside of the order of cause and effect but it is not. It is bound by the same laws, rules, physics which is why it can be beaten.
There are some games that would be cool for Secret Level season 2 like Genshin Impact, Call of Duty, Team Fortress, Overwatch, Left 4 Dead, GTA, Death Stranding, Diablo, Doom, Valorant and Halo
@theangxldxvil-eq6jpAs someone who actually does like Genshin Impact, I think that's a bad idea for the format and unlikely since an anime is already in the works. I think something like Metroid would work better and fit the style.
Chang An is the name of the actual capital of China in the Tang dynasty. Chang (長) means "long", and An (安) means "safe", meaning forever security. The Tang dynasty is one of the most prosperous times in China's history, so Chang An is a pretty common setting in fictional stories.

I don't get exodus. it takes nick 1y to get there but 8y passed for his daughter. but how long did it take for her to get there in the first place? how is she already over there without lightspeed? if she used it too, when nick catches up, the year difference should be the same for both of them. I don't get how she's traveling all that distance with normal travel.
The only thing I could think so was there are different levels of faster the light travel or the father was forced to take a much less direct route spending more time traveling at FTL
Both are travelling at lightspeed but her father is flying different routes. When he starts of the first planet, he doesn't get in a ship and fly directly to the planet his daughter went. He got a job on a big ship that had the planet his daughter went, being one of its destinations (I think in the episode they said it's the third stop or so). So she went to a planet in a couple of weeks or months while her father spent a year flying to different planets until he ended up to the same one she went. After that he probably did the same thing, get a job on a ship that will end up on the next planet she went. On the second planet he got his own ship but surrendered to the celestials and went on patrol with them until they found his daughter. So the time difference makes sense, since he travelled to more planets and spent more time at lightspeed than her. The episode is very interesting but it's weird that the game got an episode, when the whole premise of the series was that each episode is based on a beloved games and Exodus isn't even out yet.

Honor of Kings was best episode of the second half of the first season. Funny how the best episode was derived from a mobile game lol... First half of the season was much much much better.
I watched this for the asian go episode, i thought the ending was it showing that he contained the boy in an illusion but your interpretation makes more sense.
Honor of Kings episode was really good, a nice time loop is always great to see. That being said, feel like the first half of this season was better. The last episode was especially awfully mid just because we should've had stories regarding all those characters instead of short cameos
My top 3 episodes would be: 1) Pac-Man - its a really dark and unique take of such a really simple game premise and I wish the same treatment would've been given to Megaman. 2) Warhammer 40K - effectively told its story with amazing visual storytelling with almost no dialogue and minimum exposition. 3) The Outer Worlds - it's a really great tragedy that surprisingly made me feel sorry for a protagonist with a trope that I normally dislike (I guy who can't tell a lie to a ridiculous fault).
For me my Episodes would be ranked 1. Warhammer 🔨 2. Sifu 🥋 3. New World 👑 4. Unreal Tournament 🏟️ 5. Armoured Core 🤖 6. Honor Of Kings ♟️ 7. Pac-man 👻 8. Dungeons & Dragons 🐉 9. Concord 🚀 10. Spelunky 🪦 11. The Outer Worlds 🧪 12. Mega Man 👦 13. Exodus 🧑🚀 14. Crossfire 🧳 15. GayStation 🏳️🌈 Definitely gonna change some after a rewatch but this is so far what I got
Gotta admit, the Concord one was pretty good. Now if they would receive the franchise, they should make it a Heist, or Horde-tide game like a mix of Payday and WH Vermintide. That would actually distance themselves from the hero shooter market.
Oh, ep. 11 enjoyer. PLZ explaine to me how in the world Mari instantly travels between planets ? Nick using speed of light travel and spend 8 years in normal time and she spend 8 years on the planet... Just how did she get there so fast?
Ep. 14. You missed the entire point of the episode. Tiangong said himself that his end is also in the stream of causality, so he literally can't prevent his future. That's what causal determinism is. What this episode tells is that free will is indeed an illusion. Which it is. If you believe that actions cause things to happen you can't believe in acausal things like free will.
Personally, I didn't like the second half as much as the first, clearly this batch was meant more as commercials promoting the incoming games, not so much to show what make said games special. Specially considering both, Concord inclusion and the last episode, which is JUST a damn add. But hey, I understand, the money had to come for somewhere.
At first I didnt understood the take on the pacman episode, but after the games award revealing the new pacman game, no everything makes sense, also secret level will have a season 2! Lets hope they make episodes of more memorable playstation games, I would like if it includes nintendo and xbox games, but iirc these show is just to show games that are exclusive or third party games that are available on playstation
Mega man should have been longer!!! Also, with the Concord episode, its very ironic how the game was sold for $40 while its competitors are free to play while in the episode the captain gives the trade routes out for free when they could have sold them for a ton of money. The developers of the game made the opposite choice that the characters in the episode made.
“None of the concord characters even appear in the episode” Actually two characters from the game did at the end but they’re so forgettable it doesnt even matter 😂
TRON! Missile Command! Sinistar! Defender! Spy Hunter! Battle Zone! Red Baron (not snoopy)! Robotron! Joust! GORF! There you go, ten titles to make episodes.
Its surprising in playtime in ep 15 as kevin hart was in it .. and he also was in borderlands live action movie all happened in 2024 as well .. this wasn't the best for me it felt strange like no meaning to this it felt like an episode of your favorite game and not even related to there own story.
Exodus is an extremely promising game, I suggest you read up on it. Made by former bioware legends that left to gain creative freedom. Time dilation is crucial to the story, and they've said we'll see the consequences of our choices centuries in the future.
Oh, ep. 11 enjoyer. PLZ explaine to me how in the world Mari instantly travels between planets ? Nick using speed of light travel and spend 8 years in normal time and she spend 8 years on the planet... Just how did she get there so fast?
@Fafarjo If I understand correctly, it's all about how far behind her he was. He probably made more jumps than her to find her. Timing probably plays a huge factor as well. I'd have to review it bit by bit to see if their math adds up, or maybe someone has done a breakdown already.
@@ruthlessrubberducky5729 Timing ? Quantity of jumps ? According to the story Nick spend 8 years at the speed of light. If this 8 years he has been traveling to random places while the direct route would take less than a year(plus doing this every time without singe time mentioned it)... How would this make any sense ?
@Fafarjo How well do you understand relativistic speeds and their effects on time? Essentially, the faster you go, the slower time appears to go for you. That said, the universe around you will be experiencing time much faster than you are. You can't actually go the speed of light, but you can get 99.999999etc% of the way there, and the time slowing effect gets more extreme the closer you get. You could travel 8 lightyears in 8.1 years or so (don't have the actual equation) while only experiencing 3 years of aging. The longer you are at relativistic speeds, the more the universe ages without you. The plot of this game will revolve on this fact, and the world building already does. When humanity got the hundreds of lightyears distant messages from colonists giving the all clear, they set out to follow them. With the time of the signal delay and the relativistic travel compounding, those colonists had founded empires and genetically modified themselves to be something other than human in those extreme lengths of time before the rest of humanity finally arrived.
My favorites episode are Warhammer 40k, DnD and the mmo with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Megaman would have been a favorite too if it wasn't 5 freaking min long

Honor of Kings was best episode of the second half of the first season. Funny how the best episode was derived from a mobile game lol... First half of the season was much much much better.
I watched this for the asian go episode, i thought the ending was it showing that he contained the boy in an illusion but your interpretation makes more sense.
Beautiful piece 💯
secret level scratched my love death and robots itch while anxiously waiting for season 4 to drop
Honor of Kings episode was really good, a nice time loop is always great to see. That being said, feel like the first half of this season was better. The last episode was especially awfully mid just because we should've had stories regarding all those characters instead of short cameos
I think you forgot to mention the Helldiver II cameos 15:56
Its a 8/10 for me mainly coz it has room for improvement. I do wish we got a God of war episode but they chose to cuck us
I really dislike the season finale
My top 3 episodes would be:
1) Pac-Man - its a really dark and unique take of such a really simple game premise and I wish the same treatment would've been given to Megaman.
For me my Episodes would be ranked
1. Warhammer 🔨
2. Sifu 🥋
3. New World 👑
4. Unreal Tournament 🏟️
5. Armoured Core 🤖
6. Honor Of Kings ♟️
7. Pac-man 👻
8. Dungeons & Dragons 🐉
9. Concord 🚀
10. Spelunky 🪦
11. The Outer Worlds 🧪
12. Mega Man 👦
13. Exodus 🧑🚀
14. Crossfire 🧳
15. GayStation 🏳️🌈
Definitely gonna change some after a rewatch but this is so far what I got
Concord per mega man 😂
Gaystation lmao that's funny asf you get like my guy
Buddy nobody cares about your fav list!!! The world does not revolve around you
@@RubyAcrobat09I care. Was it the gaystation comment that triggered you
Loved it😊
Gotta admit, the Concord one was pretty good. Now if they would receive the franchise, they should make it a Heist, or Horde-tide game like a mix of Payday and WH Vermintide. That would actually distance themselves from the hero shooter market.
I hope if there is a season two they make the episodes longer at least 20 mins long so we can enjoy the characters more
sure, 40k told a complete story... but we, as a species cannot pass up a second episode of that masterpiece
Exodus: Yes, time dilation will be an important part in the game, it's a key factor of the game/setting.
Oh, ep. 11 enjoyer. PLZ explaine to me how in the world Mari instantly travels between planets ? Nick using speed of light travel and spend 8 years in normal time and she spend 8 years on the planet... Just how did she get there so fast?
@@FafarjoI was confused by that too
Ep.
Free will also have a cause and effect in its illusion. So you’re really just making it more complex than it really is
@@NETBU Free will by definition is acausal, that is why it can't work with any world where physics is real.
Thank you very much
time dilation on rpg games sounds amazing, it'll make up for so many branching stories
Agreed, the second part of episodes were....pffft.
There was only like 2 episodes I liked out of them all.
which is?@@thejanusproject32
At first I didnt understood the take on the pacman episode, but after the games award revealing the new pacman game, no everything makes sense, also secret level will have a season 2! Lets hope they make episodes of more memorable playstation games, I would like if it includes nintendo and xbox games, but iirc these show is just to show games that are exclusive or third party games that are available on playstation
Ep 14, the Tiangong simply see the future that he can't change. IT already says you can't change it.
Bro a Half Life, Portal, Team fortress 2 or Left 4 Dead Secret Level episode would be fire
So you’re telling me that Ghost of Tsushima and God of war is just…an ad placement…
So glad I got a prime subscription for this. Yaaaay. 😐
“None of the concord characters even appear in the episode”
Actually two characters from the game did at the end but they’re so forgettable it doesnt even matter 😂
TRON! Missile Command! Sinistar! Defender! Spy Hunter! Battle Zone! Red Baron (not snoopy)! Robotron! Joust! GORF!
There you go, ten titles to make episodes.
Treble is Bass' companion. Rock's companion is Rush
Its surprising in playtime in ep 15 as kevin hart was in it .. and he also was in borderlands live action movie all happened in 2024 as well .. this wasn't the best for me it felt strange like no meaning to this it felt like an episode of your favorite game and not even related to there own story.
Ohhhhh Kevin Hart....
Megaman was FAR too short. I wanted MORE so badly. Would have been so cool to see him fight various robots and upgrade along the way.
Need Killzone that's a Playstation classic and Resident Evil,Halo, Medal of Honor ww2 would be cool throw back and Test drive 6 .
It was okay 👍
Not a good critic, but I just love what is given.
Celebration of gaming 30%
Celebartion of agendas and pandering 70%
Was waiting for you to upload 😂🙏 you're awesome dude
Everytime we felt it was going somewhere, it ends abruptly. The rest felt like ads or references.
The short Concord is probly my favorite.
Too bad the game didn't work out.
The game doesn't look much like the short so also probly for the best.
It appears the fashion sense of the universe disappeared when the crew of the implacable left.
This series was so magnificent
I wish they would make an episode on assassin's Creed🤲🏽
i just realized i really want a cuphead episode of secret level for season 2
My favorites episode are Warhammer 40k, DnD and the mmo with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Megaman would have been a favorite too if it wasn't 5 freaking min long
