Wouldn't have been hard for you, CEO Roshan, to show one connected and working with the new arrow marked so we would know if it is slight clockwise or anticlockwise from the original arrow.. And that this is not a dodgey video that makes some ruin the cables or at worse the motor.

What if you bike doesn't have these similar plugs? Can you splice the red plug off and hard wire?
I am really cofused on which one of the Magura ebike brakes I should buy for my current ebike controller. Should I buy the MT4e closer NO or the MT5e Opener NO. I did a test to try to figure it out. But I am still confused on which to get. When I unplugged the sensor from my current brake levers. I am still able to throttle the ebike whike pressing the brake levers. Also the rear brake lights do not come on. Knowing this, which one of the Magura models should I purchase?
Magura recommended to do that??
Magura Support Germany told us specificly NOT to do that and use adapters instead, plus extension, cause the original cables aren't mostly long enough
Of course Germans would never tell you to do something that was not in the book.
what's the best way to remove the tab without damaging the rest of the connector?

Damn, just paid $35 for a new harness with red instead of yellow HIGO connectors. Couldn't find an adaptor via google search. Now, cant find the MT5e brake anywhere. Would the MT5e lever fit and function properly in a MT5 housing/master cylinder?
Yes you can swap the MT5e lever onto the MT5 master cylinder. Magura has a video showing how to remove and replace levers.
@@tzed2509 Thanks for the info. Not a fan of the longer MT5e lever but it's nice to have a kill switch just in case.
How do you use the brake light function on the Bafang BBSHD or BBSO2b?? TIA
Do you have to connect the HIGO opener/closer to the motor or it doesn’t matter if you just leave it loose?
You can leave it, but its so important to cut off the motor when braking or shifting gears.
у меня Mаgura MT5, 4 piston с датчиками присраными прям на гидролинию. Всё телепается и срабатывает через раз или срабатывет, когда ничего не нажато, бесит. Что надо купить чтобы датчик работал чётко? Ручки новые, тормоза, вставку какую-то в гидролинию?..

Don't think so since there's one missing pin connection.
I believe it's for motor cut off while the brake levers are used.
What if the pins break inside the plug?
The you can solder the wires instead, I did that
The notch is not only to line the plug up, in fact its main use is to lock the plug into place so it cannot be turn/twisted which would then break the pins.
Nothing a little tape can't fix 👌.

They now have adapters that you can plug the 2 pin HIGO into a 2 pin adapter with 3 pins on the opposite end which then plugs into the BAFANG. A lot of pins mentioned but to simplify it, just imagine an adapter for a euro plug to a uk plug, same principle.
where can you buy these adapters?

After many attempts I finally broke a pin in the Magura connector, ending the attempts.

better use the Bafang Ebrake sensors, I glued the sensors with tyrap on the Magura HS33 brake handle cable, and the magnet glued+tyrap a few centimeter away from the sensors on the brake handles, I drive the BBSHD bike for several years, without any problems and with superb Magura braking power!
No way, its more Cool and professionel to use the wires from Magura, what a crazy suggestion, the magnet solution really sucks
