For such an intense trailer, I don't think I've laughed so much at a reaction. (Start at around 4:30)
and watched it more than the actual trailer 😂 that Achara's face and jaby's putting music in IMDB list.

Sometimes, I feel movies shouldn't be just about a fun time and some jokes. It should mean something and have a great character journey.

@@arahul4045 Im ok with DCEU. I liked BvS but tons of problem. Wonder woman was good. Man of Steel was good. Aquaman was good fun but didn't like story so much. But still, they couldn't build a shared universe especially with Justice League being the biggest disappointment ever and Suicide Squad being crap.
Marvel deserves credit for what they've been able to build.
But I still love DC cuz... Dark Knight trilogy.
Manas Vegi That’s the difference between Marvel and DC. Marvel is much more on the comedy side where DC is much more serious and dark. I mean look at the Dark Knight Trilogy. A true superhero masterpiece

*This* is exactly what I've been wanting a lot more of when it comes to comics based movies for a long time. Standalone films, not part of an interconnected universe or larger franchise, which are just their own, unique take on a character. Not meant to be definitive, just its own thing.

I feel like this movie will be tragically beautiful. Like obviously from the trailer I can tell I will be deep in the feels by time this movie is over and I welcome it.
LOL. U guys hit nail right on the head. Though the movie is a character portrayal, I can definitely see audiences being able to connect in some way. How? Understanding the feeling of being an outcast, weird, or different, and the mechanisms used to cope with that and to conform to "societal norms." Also adding to that, with how society tends to treat the "weirdos" of the world. Does society actually create the monsters we then prosecute? 🤔
Also, loved part where Joaquin forces the smile with his hands. Uh, magic right there. We can feel like that at times during this human journey...smiling/laughing, when we really wanna cry. ☝🏽

I don't know if anyone else noticed but I loved how at the beginning they had Arther walking up the stairs with his head down, and at the end, he was the Joker and dancing on same stairs. For me that shows how Arther was trying to potentially find his way or "identity" when his environment pushes him down a path that inevitably leads him to his true calling as one of the greatest villains of all time.

The thing i liked about this and the nolan batman series is the sense of realism both with the plot and its actors, like obvs this is a work of fiction, but it feels believable and the plot isn’t far fetched nor too on the fantasy/sci-fi side

The connection between depression and comedians is true: often if you are depressed you are suppressing everything and putting on a smile, which is really self-destructive when you cannot express how you really feel because you can't feel anything. You use jokes to hide things from people, to direct their attention away from you. Comedy in fact comes from darkness, so I think you are right about the choice of director.
