Hi mate have you got a video explaining what each solonoid is & what it does?
im finding it hard to identify each solonoid. cheers

No video, but have a look at the linked document. It's the ATSG guide for the transmission. Pages 3 and 10 have what is engaged and when. If you work through the logic you can determine what controls what. Page 6 identifies each solenoid.
      EDS 1 controls main pressure
EDS 2 is the C clutch
EDS 3 is the G clutch
EDS 4 is the torque converter lockup clutch.
But after that it gets very complicated depending on which of MV 1 or 2 is on in combination with either EDS 2 or 3. You just need to look at your symptoms and go through the tables in the document to determine where a problem might be.

thanks mate i will have a look. appreciate it.
i've had a P0966 code & also blew out my gasket. im hoping replacing the pressure solonoid on the top wil fix it...but i was just wondering what the bottom 6 actually did so i could look into if its worth changing them while im at it.

I'm not sure if you have done this also, but replacing the main pressure valve in the lower front valve body is probably the most important job to maintain correct pressure within the transmission.

@@jeffrichardsoncardiy originally I was just going to change the pressure valve with a transgo, but thought to do the solenoid also.
Do you think if I just replace the pressure valve and solenoid it should fix my issue?
It seems to be leading to pressure low which I was thinking would mean a stuck or totally dead solenoid

My limited understanding of the P0966 is that the TCU has detected a low voltage from solenoid circuit B. So which solenoid is B? I don't know. I'm assuming it's one of the EDS solenoids, so I would be testing all of them for resistance to see if there is one that is different.
I don't know the symptoms you have, but if EDS1 has failed, then you get maximum pressure in the transmission. The more it activates, the more the transmission pressure is lowered.
I'd be definitely doing the transgo valve while you were there, but try and identify with solenoid is bad.
