My best friend left me his XT2 in his will, after being and still using Nikon since the 70’s I am loving the results I am getting from Fuji, bought some extra lenses and a X100V, will probably get a XT5 or HS2/S in the future, but I will keep the XT2
Very very lovely review thank you. I'm using my x-t3 camera just for fun on travel and family stuff, I'm not a RUclipsr or something. And every time I want to buy a new camera, I ask myself why? For what? I just already got everything I want and need in the x-t3 body. And I'm also from Russia. Peace to all! Stop the war! Please help Ukraine!
love my x-t3... i shoot with a sony a7 iii, bmpcc 4k, sigma fp as well... but the x-t3 has by far the best image... as for the battery life- i recently went on a two week mission trip to Poland and took with me three batteries and one Anker powerbank with PD (Power Delivery). I just kept the powerbank in my pocket, which was always plugged in to my camera with a usb-c cable of just the right length. i was able to go out every day and shoot video from morning till night... not once was i unable to shoot because of no power... my only complaint would be that the autofocus isn't reliable... but not an issue if you develop your manual focusing skill.
I am currently using 2 XT-3 bodies with the battery grips & a plorthea of Fuji glass. I love the Fuji ecosystem & switched from using Canon products for nearly 40 years. Fuji offers tremendous value for the price point within the photographic industry, IMHO.😊
Great honest review, i love my Fuji`s, in terms of built & rendering quality as you mention, the sensor just produces some beautiful images and footage. The price performance ratio is very good and almost unbeatable in my opinion ✌
Pre-shot ES+high speed burst is ridiculous on the XT3. 20fps is total overkill and yet totally fun. Battery life is weak but the batteries are cheap, small, and light so really I don’t worry about that either. Looking forward to an XT6 someday with a battery grip.
In my case, either I just generally unlucky, but my X-T3 has been under service warranty repair already twice. First time it was flex cable of shutter button, had to wait 3 weeks (thankfully I've been given a replacement camera for the time), and second time it was some weirdness with rear command dial, when I pressed it, it like pressed to much down or something, but it was a quick fix in service center for like a 1 day. And since I saved money for two years to buy this camera, I treated it with as much care as I could, not a single drop, not to mention any heavy rain conditions etc.
oh, I find screen to be much less usable, not only I can't achieve all angles, especially when pointing screen down, it's only 45°, but when you put it up on waist level 90° the viewfinder cup is blocking part of the screen and I can't see the whole composition, maybe there's something I don't need is peaking in the frame, quite annoying I believe Lumix S1H finally did that type of screen that can please everyone (sony A7RV too), I wish all cameras had this type of screen.
Thanks, appreciate it 🙏 I would say it depends on the primes you have but my 2 favourite zooms I own are the XF 16-55 2.8 & XF 50-140 2.8. Both insanely sharp, weather resistant and very great build quality.
@@felixtonio Thank you ive been watching a bunch of reviews tonight, ive saved a few of your videos for watching later as its almost 1am ha I have the fuji 16mm 1.4, the fuji 56mm 1.2. Just last week got the Ioawa 33mm 0.95. I shoot some music events but also some outdoors fitness. I'm not sure if i should just get another xt3 body or invest in a decent zoom lens. Choices 😭
Im shooting my first wedding with an xt3 but im having troubles focusing on 2 people walking down the isle towards me, any advise with the settings or what to do ?
Hi! I also try to make good wildlife photos with the combination X-T3 and 100-400. But I am not yet content with the quality and sharpness of the photos. I tried a lot but nothing really worked out. Can you make a video what you actually do to get good photos with this combination? Settings (what af-c) of course, how much does the stabilizer do? Or do I have to stabilize the camera in another way? If there a clouds, I use the 1.4 converter and try to make sharp photos with fast shutter speeds and ein bisschen abgeblendet my ISO is quickly above 5000. Or the other way round. I try to not have too high ISO my shutter speed gets to slow. You know what I mean...
Hey, I am just editing a video about that topic... Hope to have it online soon. But I basically use af-c and zone tracking with flying objects. Single Point AF when subjects are sitting and then always focus on the eye if you can... Also, I try to stop down a little because I feel the 100-400 get's a bit sharper. So I have to put up my ISO to about 1600 or more to have a high enough shutterspeed. Personally, I have no experience with the converter but from other people, I heard it makes the picture less sharp and gives it a "muddy" look. So maybe that's also an issue. That all being said, I'm also not always 100% happy with the images I'm getting. It is still a great setup but eventually, it hits its limits! Hope this helps!
Hi there, first off: thanks for this nice video, Felix! have the same combo and as much as I like the x-t3 and the 100-400mm: getting good birds in flight is really a challenge (at least for me).. and I agree with you Felix, stopping down helps.. I usually try to use f8 at 400mm and with the TC 1,4 even to f11.. I am looking forward to the video on auf-c settings 🙂
I'll give you some more tips. *First, try going into the menu and switching OIS mode to "shooting only" rather than "continuous". That should improve in-focus results. *With shutter speeds over 1/250 or so, consider shutting OIS off completely - sometimes it causes "blurry" results". I know it is hard to shoot long lenses without OIS support, but once at 1/1000 or higher, OIS is not necessarily needed especially if you are actively tracking/panning. If you are shooting a bird or animal at rest, AF-S and OIS are helpful. *For that particular lens, stop it down 1-stop from wide open, and avoid f/16 or higher, where it will soften up from diffraction. *Try shooting with the electronic shutter - less "shutter shock" potential *try High-speed bursts with the electronic (or mechanical) shutters - sometimes I get better hit rates in high-speed vs. low-speed bursts. *Try pre-shot with electronic shutter - with the shutter half-pressed, the camera starts taking shots. It generates TONS of frames very quickly, but is great for catching the "moment" which I always miss since I never react quickly enough. I find shooting this way sort of weird/awkward but its really powerful. *For AF-C modes, I actually tend to hate "zone" focus - but I will use a very large "single zone" box and aim for the head. Zone focus will tend to grab whatever is closest, so if you don't have the depth of field, you may still get a soft result. Zone works best when you have some distance on the subject and a foot or more depth of field. Takes practice. *For AF-C, I tend to use option 2 (the cheetah) or option 5 (the tennis one), or a custom mode which is basically option 5 with tweaking it to be faster or stickier. I often use "auto" or "center" bias. Good luck!
Try to put the stabilisation on shooting only in the camera menu, instead of using continuously, if you can close the aperture to f8 and keep the shutter time at least over 1/1000
bro. i have a question i want you to answer. it's 2023 for video and photo shooting, do you think i should use xt4 or use xt3 and focus on lens? and i'm wondering if xt3 battery capacity is enough for 1 day no.Hope you will answer my questions. Thanks
Hey, So I would highly suggest to use a battery grip when shooting for a full day. One battery wont get you through the day on the xt3. The sensor on both cameras is the same to i feel the image quality doesn’t make a difference. Putting more $ towards lenses is always a good idea! Only thing for video is the image stabilisation but I honestly don’t miss it.. Either way you are going to have a great camera!

Thank you! Yes, I agree :)
XT3 is solid camera also XH1 is another solid built camera system.
What are your usual video settings on the X-T3? And what program do you use to edit the videos? I love Capture One for photos
I'm subbed to join the journey loved the video looking forward to seeing more.......
Thanks and welcome 🙏☺

yea too bad the xt5 doesn’t support one
Awesome bro
Great video, great camera. Newly subscribed!
Thank you and welcome 🙏
The Xt3 is one of the best and most underrated cameras of all time imo! I have a lumix s5 now but miss my fuji every day haha. especially for photos
Yes, I agree! 💯
Mate, you have just answered an important question for me between xt3 vs xt4! More of a still shooter and going for xt3 based on your video. Thanks!
Happy to hear this review helped 🙏🏻 I’m sure you’ll love it

Do you use gimbals or prefer post production stabilisation?
Ps
Thanks for the video!
Just found your channel had to subscribe
Thank you Nita! There will be much more coming soon. Been super busy with projects right now but it's coming :) Glad you joined!
What case do you use for underwater? Do you think without the case it would withstAnd heavy rain?
Great video, really inspiring honestly. Subbed! I have 3 prime lenses and feel I could benefit from a zoom lens, What would you recommend please? :]

Can we get a custom button for slow motion?? How to customise for it
I have one . Older primes 13mm 50mm
Not sure why people selling them .
I may look at another body XH3 S if have the money in a few years

Hey, Sorry just saw this. Definitely shoot in Continuous AF and I would use the Area Focus Mode. Make the Area the size of both people.
@@felixtonio im thinking of upgrading to the lumix s5iix everyone keeps talking about it what do you think

I love everything about x-t3 except its flickering screen. Updated firmware but see no improvement. My x-e4 does not have this issue.
mh.. my xt3 also doesn’t have that issue actually
