I have been sewing for over 50 years and this is a breath of fresh air for me. I love the way you simply create new lines from old clothes. You are so bright and sunny to watch and I love your vision. You are an inspiration.
Oh my god, I was actually searching for a diy video because I had a red velvet gown that I wanted to transform, surprisingly you had the exact same red velvet gown 😳.
I really appreciate that you don't edit out iterations during the fitting process. It helps us feel less silly when things don't work out on the first try. 😍
I am also obsessed with Reformation's line of velvet dresses.... and just about everything else they make. Both of these turned out beautiful. I love your creative use of thrifted materials! ♥️
I honestly want everything they make! 😊 I’m posting another video this weekend with two more velvet dresses! And thank you!! I’ve been trying to be more environmentally conscious!
This is positively stunning, and even though I’m a beginner, the way you explain makes me think that I could do that too! I started sewing last year, making masks when there were none to be found, and discovered that I really enjoy sewing I love this page, and I only recently discovered it. Can’t wait to catch up on earlier projects! Your work is really beautiful!
It sucks that you cannot do you normal job because of Covid, but I LOVE your videos! Thank you for your clear explanations, I would love to make one/both of these dresses, they are gorgeous!
Thank you so much! I'm honestly so glad that I have the opportunity to explore this and I'm so happy that you like my videos! Please let me know if you decided to make these!! ♥️
Girl! Once you make the clothing you throw together do you think you could give us the patterns? Maybe at the end of the year release a book? If you make them only a little different design wise it should count as your own right? Just saying I would buy the book lol
The Jocelyn dress looks so good! Thinking about maybe doing this with linen or some flowy floral print light weight fabric for summer! DO you by any chance know how many yards you needed?
Thank you so much! ♥️Oooh I think that would look so lovely! I think about 4 yards of fabric, the sleeves took up quite a lot of fabric! Let me know if you try this out. I'd love to see your version! ☺️
Both dresses are gorgeous 🥰🥰 So happy to have found your channel on Tiktok, I have wanted to learn how to sew for a while now and I am finally getting started!!
Hi! Just want to say I just discovered your channel a while ago and I'm literally binge watching your videos. I'm so happy I get to discover someone with my similar style (vintage style dresses meets modern & casual outfits) but also teaches thrift flips which I'm really aiming for as someone who's still a college student (being broke lol). I hope you continue doing this kind of videos because you aspire me.
Ahhh I love this so much!! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my videos and commenting! It means so much to me and it's really inspiring me to keep making content! ♥️
Wow your videos are so professionally made and I love the content! New subscriber and cannot wait to see you continue to grow! I actually made my first dress this weekend off of a pattern from Joanns fabrics and crafts, so I am excited to be inspired for future dresses from your channel! (By the way, I recently found out that Joanns offers patterns with the paper cut outs included from simplicity and other brands for only $2 a piece a few times a year when they are normally sold for $15-$22! I see you’re awesome at making your own patterns but I thought I would share as something to possibly explore in future videos 😊)
Thank you so much! 😊 And thank you for sharing that! That is a HUGE discount and I'll definitely be looking into that! And congratulations on making your first dress! That's awesome! ♥️
Your recreations always look soo cool 🤩. I really want to do a flip with some of my clothes but i can never think of what to do with them 😅 . But your work always is amazing 😍
Thank you so much!! 😊 Just go for it! And experiment! You'll be shocked at how creative you can be! And happy to brainstorm some ideas with you if you get stuck! ♥️
I'm so happy to hear that! I would start with something with no stretch, maybe a cotton poplin? And start out with something easy! Sewing can be frustrating sometimes and it's easy to get discouraged, so pick something simple first! 😊
May I ask how many years you have been seeing? You look like you’re at least intermediate if not advanced based on the upcycles (only asking as someone who had 1-2 years of sewing before taking a 7 year break, now picking it back up)
Hey Alexis! I've been sewing small projects for a really long time now but I've only really started to experiment with clothes in the last couple of years. I don't have any formal sewing training, and I've pretty much learnt everything from RUclips or trial and error! Let me know if you end up trying one of my tutorials! ☺️
i lovelovelovedd the first dress! the back looks great! I have only once sewn with velvets its there were so many flood around that I am now traumatized. but I guess I'll have to do it again cus you look so good in it! btw I just uploaded my first vid and it would mean so much if you would check it out
Thank you so much! ☺️ You should definitely give velvet another try and let me know how it goes! I just watched your video and you have so many amazing creations!! I'm so inspired by so many of your outfits!

I love how you explained your steps so clearly!
Thank you Danielle! I’m still figuring out how to make these tutorials so this is so encouraging ♥️
Oh my god, I was actually searching for a diy video because I had a red velvet gown that I wanted to transform, surprisingly you had the exact same red velvet gown 😳.
That is insane! I love that so much! What are the odds! What are you going to do with yours??
Idk I haven't decided on a design yet.
I really appreciate that you don't edit out iterations during the fitting process. It helps us feel less silly when things don't work out on the first try. 😍
No need to feel silly at all, just part of the process! 😊 It can definitely sometimes be frustrating though! 🤪
I am also obsessed with Reformation's line of velvet dresses.... and just about everything else they make. Both of these turned out beautiful. I love your creative use of thrifted materials! ♥️

I can't wait for your channel to get the traction it deserves so I can lovebrag about being one of your first 10k subs 😁❤
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much!! Fingers crossed!! 😊
I liked both but preferred the second. Not a big fan of the lace-up back. What kind of bra does you wear with it? Or do you use pin-in cups?
Btw i watch all your videos... keep doing it
You are the best! Thank you!! I will! 😊

Yes I actually have some thrifted curtains that would make a killer pant suit! I'll make sure to make it the next few months!
@@littletoh ohhh im exciteddd!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love it! Did you use a lining or facing or just shell fabric + interfacing?
Thank you! I didn't use any lining for this one! Just the shell and interfacing!
