- We LOVE a good thrift flip! Today we take a recommendation from the audience (as we do, a lot) and made over some dresses that we found at the thrift store. AH. The starting dress was so boho bougie (think anthropologie / free people / chloe) and was so beaut!!! Hurt my heart when it was made into something a little sweeter but I guess everyone has their own style :)

Both of these give me great ideas. I get very complicated when I think of making over a garment... because of my old sewing training. I think of how I'm going to make facings, etc but, you show me how I can modernise the item and say, just create a little fold over hem. So cute. Love them both.
I think it would be a nice idea to put also a strap around the middle of the dress to get more figure in it! (I'm sorry if my English is that good, I'm Dutch :) )
No i don't live near Bonaire. Bonaire is a Island which belongs to 'The Netherlands. The language they speak there is Dutch, but it's really far away. The Netherlands belong to Europe!
I would like to see a bridal gown hack, from one wedding gown or two or three gowns to create one updated wedding gown out of the fabric and form of one to three old gowns.
This reminded me a lot of the Girl Boss TV series, particularly the way Kelsey transformed her dress into a kimono-style wrap.

Hii, even though you already did a lot of storage DIY video's, I'd like to see more general (or student dorm) storage related ideas! I think these would be very helpful to a lot of viewers :)
thrift flips are my faves because you guys are SO GOOD at them and you manage the balance the line between unique, novel and genuinely cool ideas and having them seem very approachable from the non-DIYer point of view.

Ive started doing the same thing. I cant find anything that fits anymore. Companies buy everything thats horrible for dirt cheap and sell it to us for triple the price. So I started doing this very thing. I also found a place in China to purchase wardrobe completers like shoes and bags....because their shoes are way soft and I cant find any shoes to fit here and bags that I can actually afford. When our companies start making products I want....Ill start buying....till then...I bypass them.
You gave me some ideas for summer as I am retired and shop mainly thrift stores. Thank you

I want to see more like this!! I love your videos and I LOVE restyled clothing videos, so this definitely works. It's hard to say whose is better because they are both amazing. The kimono style top is a little more trendy and the dress is a little more practical... ah I can't decide. Both are great!

Why do people hate shoulder pads? Subtle ones gives a really good structure to your dress
It's ok if you aren't like me, and built like a line backer in the shoulder area. I looked so bad with them.

I LOVED the idea of using a long dress and how you used it. I would wear that a lot. The other dress looked so cute. Loved the way you joined front to back. Could be longer, but for young ladies, that's just fine. Comfy and cute for summer.

Very nice. I like both pieces. I will definitely be making myself a kimono because the ones in the stores are overpriced and i can just use old clothes at a cheaper price point and alter it to what i want. Plus the fabric and colors are ideal. I will be making a few kimons for myself out of old dresses instead of throwing stuff out.

Loved those dresses! I been seeing that wicker hand bags have been coming back this season and was wondering if you could do a thrift flip on something like that?
