The thing that I miss the most about your videos of Japan is the unique aesthetic of the scenery (although I can just rewatch the old videos!). Thailand's natural scenery is still beautiful, just different. The things that I appreciate most about the Thailand videos are your enthusiasm and of course the epic new bikes.
Also brief throwback to Bianchi Love at 6:00. Love to see it!

I started commuting by bike around two months ago in Japan. I have to agree with you about the winter, so cold!!! Coming from tropical weather myself it is quite a challenge. At least I arrive warmed up at my job while everybody is shaking.

The morning is the worst, but I didn't think the nights were too bad. The extra wind in the winter there doesn't help, but the lack of snow makes it rideable most of the time at least.

Happy Valentine's to you and Cheng san. There are a few things from Japanese culture I like and respect and some i don't. As a nut on volcanoes Japan is definitely an interesting place. Our closest is Iceland just over 1000 miles to the North West of the UK although many of our native peaks were volcanic in origin.
I returned home after service with the French military for 12 years and the British Army beforehand for 5 years. I noticed I missed some elements of French culture, cafe's, street food, rolling vineyards and good cheap wine - although now i don't drink alcohol. Drinking chocolate has improved here in the last 5 years but it's still needs work, too sweat and leaves a bitter after taste.

One question I have, since Japan is so structured and everything has to be done by regulations and allot of “Red Tape”. How does Thailand compare? I’m sure you don’t miss that part of Japan. I remember while in Japan I lost my new cellphone, I remembered where I left it. When I went back to get it from a outdoor food stand. I was surprised I had to fill out paperwork to get it back. What are your thoughts about cost of living vs income. It seems that Thailand is much less expensive to live than Japan. Things like rent, food, etc. How does this compare with the US, Canada or Europe where the idea is to raise one's salary to pay higher prices. Do you think the average person is better off in Thailand? Are people more friendly and relaxed vs more polite and formal? If you were to stay or start a business is it more open?

I have an unusual favor to ask/question, that *Bianchi* reminded me about my fight to get the color code about a turquoise I love so much.
This color is featured on Volume Bikes Voyager V2 bmx frame, that's a signature bike of rider Billy Perry and they named the colorway PerryMint. Volume Bikes is not responding to my question about the color code.
I saw a new Bianchi Sprint IRL and the color is very similar to the Voyager's turquoise. I fell in love with the bright, pastel Celeste blue that's featured on the Sprint.
Can you help me determine what shade is this light Celeste blue, because the signature Bianchi green is dark. Any help is much appreciated!

The Celeste color has been researched on bike forums for many years with Pantone 332 and Pantone 333 being the most common answers. For 70s/80s era frames the darker shade of 556. Bianchi have used many variations over the years so there is nothing definitive. Also the suffix of M and C are used, ie 332M, 333C, 556C - the M refers to matte, the C to coated/gloss

The cycling infrastructure here is just next level. Paths go all through beautiful mountains, Jeju Island, and you can even bike from Seoul to Busan entirely on bike paths. @@TwoWheelCruise Please, I implore you to make that trip before the Chinese tourists come back. It's just so pristine, relaxing, clean, and quiet right now for Jeju. Once in a lifetime opportunity. It's really a special time. Nothing against the Chinese, it's just there are so many of them and it's not their country so they tend to litter and are very loud in comparison to Koreans. And you can get the bike stamps all across the Island as you bike around the perimeter along the volcanic rocky coast and it's beaches. It's really fun and beautiful. It would make for some stellar content.

How are the quality of roads in Thailand? Are they similar to Japan, worse or better? I lived in southern China for 5 years and although it could get quite cold at night, to me, most of the time it felt like either Spring and then Summer. So basically, a place with only two seasons. At first, I thought it was great, but after a while I began to miss having seasons, and wished it was cooler in the summer and less humid a lot of the time! Haha, I guess, we humans are creatures of habit.

Most of the roads are pretty good or at least good enough. Japanese roads overall are more smooth with less potholes. I have a feeling that I will eventually start to miss true winter the longer we are over here.

How's the pollution in Chiang Mai? I was there 10 years ago and it was... rough. The farmers burn their fields in the dry season. When I was there, they set some kind of record for worst air-quality in history. I heard it's better now though.

I have to agree with the bad traffic culture in south east Asia. Drivers here have no respect for cyclist.

I don't think there's any disrespect to cyclists, but I think a lot of problems come from bad road / infrastructure design leading many people to look for shortcuts.
