Hey Craig, been following the channel off and on for awhile now and it was refreshing to see automotive detailing be the focus on this video. I am appalled at how people trash their high valued cars these days. I'm a detail enthusiast and I don't even let me daily driver get even close to how bad that Corvette was. Unfortunately there's been some issues with the flat plane crank engine in the z06....but you get the ferrari sound with "ahem" gm quality/reliability.....hehehe (I know I know I contradicted myself).
The worst was the guy bought one, was driving home with the salesman IN the car, and blew the motor with 6 miles on it. And no, he didn't over rev it or anything, the computer prevents you from doing it until it's properly broken in. SuperspeedersRob had his replaced, it spun a bearing or something.
So cool your kid gets to drive the cars and help out. He won’t enjoy it till or realize he enjoyed it until long after your gone. Your teaching him more than you know just by having him around

Even with a grit guard always use two buckets, or else you will end up right back where you started.
Even with a grit guard I still use 2 buckets, both of them have a grit guard so that away I can ensure a good clean wash. My rinse bucket is see through so I can see how dirty the water is.
Brave for letting your boy drive. My father let me drive his corvette just for me to detail That day I put 150 miles on the odometer. He never noticed or he never said anything. The next time it needed detailed I put 250 miles. He noticed this time we shared a laugh or two about it. Enjoy your video

I almost bought a mk7 Golf R that was owned by an older man on a dirt road. I wanted the car because it was not beat by the owner, the roads however chipped the paint and undercoating so bad the shop I had look at it told me not to buy it. It might be hard to catch it all on camera but I believe him that its in rougher shape than he expected.
One thing Im not seeing in this detail process is the engine compartment!? C8's have a totally open engine compartment! So if you spray water on the rear bonnet, water goes all over the engine!

In 2016 I purchased my mother a new Camaro two SS convertible and she wanted the color black .😭I once had a black truck, so I had to learn my lesson but that was what she wanted and it was a pain to clean just like I remembered.Well I order a 2024 Corvette C8 LT2 in White with Red interior with the Black web design wheels. I agree with the LT 2 being the best option package.And I added the front end lift . Beyond that I didn’t go crazy with performance options because I’m not a aggressive driver. I also wanted to keep the cost down so I can keep my resale price down.
Just an FYI... A splitter is in the front. A diffuser is in the back in the majority of instances, although diffusers can be used in many different locations. Diffusers are used to direct air usually using channels coming from under the car. Splitters are used to gain front end down force from air "pushing" down on the top of the splitter.

This makes no sense whatsoever. He has no business owning Vette’s. Seriously man, just buy yourself a couple of Silverado’s or a Tahoe & call it a day…..

Front is a spoiler, rear underneath is where diffusers normally live (see a NASCAR vehicle).

There's a dealer in Ohio with a coupe and a convertible for $3k off MSRP. @29:51... I'd love to see a salmon coated C8.

for a quick flip, I would have hit it with carpro essence plus and essence gloss enhancer. nice vette . the real known issue with them is the torque tube. beat the snot out of it. 😁

correct me if I am wrong but isn't it improper to strap a car down on a trailer the way this C8 is, by going through the wheels? My understanding is that doing this can pull the car out of alignment and cars should be strapped down around the tire

Living down a dirt road with a nice car you’re forced to wash it in town because if you wash it at your house it’s dirty before you even leave the driveway. Then once you wash it in town it Itll get dirty again as soon you go back home

.sell rebuilts and salvage only for Export....this will keep you out of any legal troubles..i import cars from the USA since 1990....even salvages here,after faifax..are hard to sell..🤔

I cannot get excited about the looks of the new Corvette styling. My neighbor bought one in the first quarter of this year in Rapid Blue with polished aluminum wheels with no brake caliber exposure, which was the best-looking one I have seen so far. That said, he only kept the car for six months and five hundred-plus miles before he sold it. He told me it was the most uncomfortable car he ever owned and that includes the Audi TT he once had for about three months. He wound up buying a Velvet Red 2023 Chrysler 300c 6.2 L Hemi which I would consider a far more reasonable daily driver. The sound of the Chrysler's exhaust reminds me of another neighbor's 2023 Charger King Daytona Last Call model which is more of a show-toy than a daily driver.
