Buy a bed from a truck conversation company they already come painted in the correct color can probably buy the whole bed for about 1k and itll be complete just gotta swap them over very easy fix then just find a wheel to match

Yeah I bought my dad's old 98 Explorer Eddie Bauer that he bought new back in 2011 with the 5.0 and the thing was a slug... sounded like a muscle car but accelerated about as slow as my wife's CR-V at the time and got horrible gas mileage. Still regret selling it though.
@@Stressless2023 I loved my Eddie Bauer explorer. It was my first car. Very comfortable. When I sold it, it had over 340k miles on it, and was still running fine.
Once he gets a starter Ferrari he'll try to sell it and get better ones. Also he was talking about restarting and doing it again for a car German wants which would be cool.
@@ExplorerBen7 For one that German wants, it'd be funny to let German do all the buying and fixing and see how fast HE reaches his goal compared to Craig lol Craig: WHAT? You made enough to buy a C8 corvette in 4 months? HOW"D you do that? German: By buying cars we made a profit on NOT ones I wanted to drive.... Craig: $^&(*%^&^^@ smartass lol
I’d like to see the GMC and Cadillac be the cars for the Ferrari flip personally. I find the lower budget cars more interesting and love seeing German’s transformation of them.
Craig, you guys should do the bodywork yourselves on the 2020. You got the talent and the equipment. It's white- EASY to make it look good! German is the master buffer. He will make the black Cad and Suburban look good too!
Pull the bed, sell the tailgate and put a flatbed on it. I know in Texas you can find used flatbeds for $1000-$2000 grand. Maybe clean it up and spray bed liner on it. BAM
The Explorer heads are GT40 in 1993-97 Explorers, and GT40P in 1997-2001. You're right, they are the Cobra heads, and the P's are even better *except* they changed the spark plug angles, so most headers won't fit if they're being swapped.
The last GMC I don't think the grill was plstidipped, look at the one you saw driving out, black grill. I think chrome would look odd with the black stripes. For sure new wheels though.
Craig, the "$400 Ferrari Flip," caught my eye 18 months ago! Now a fan of your videos. I'm learning tons about what to look for on used cars in my hunt for a 25th wedding anniversary for my wife. Looking for a Mustang Convertible, V6, automatic, under 100K miles for 10 to 12 K.
Those explorers have GT40p heads, and they are super good donor cars for a Mustang build. I am actually getting one myself solely for that purpose. (but also for the aluminum driveshaft and brake master cylinder)
Totally worth watching. You are getting better and better. That 🔥Cadillac🔥 is gorgeous. I would pass on the limo-suburban. I think overall you did pretty good. The 335 is a nice buy, hopefully it will find a good owner. I know you have to make a living but I'll hold on a bit on purchases. I believe the market is going to drop soon. Maybe 4 months from now.
Man I love these videos. a while back he was doing shorter more part 2 ish type of videos. Now it’s all in one 30 minute video. I enjoy these so much more. Keep up to hard work
I like the suburban buy. Those 5.3’s are awesome and all the parts will go to use when you keep buying the Tahoes and Yukons. Great trucks for us in New England. Winter is a breeze in one.
Wow it's so weird being up to date on this series now lol. Finnally all caught up. I had a great time getting here, I learned a lot from you and I look forward to future videos 😁.
Greg, keep up the good work. Really enjoying the videos. It is interesting as an European to get comments about German cars. It is the other way round with US cars here - expensive to fix, hard to get the parts etc. But this makes your videos much more entertaining to watch and learn about US cars.
U.S. cars are now expensive, parts hard to find and are beginning to approach German cars for lack of long term reliability. Maybe it is time to reverse engineering back about 15-20 years before the era of turbocharging and complicated technology. Mercedes and some American cars use to be rock solid and indestructible. Not so much anymore.
4th Gen F-Bodies are going through the roof right now. Even the LT1 cars. If it's an SS it's worth even more. If it's a WS6, even more than an SS, and if it's a stick, tack on an extra $3k. I've been trying to buy an LT1, MN6, WS6 slick-top for a couple of years now. I missed out on an SS at Mecum Vegas last year because my registration came a day late. I think it sold for around $9k plus fees.
Two things if you haven't driven a stinger drive one. They are amazing vehicles. They're basically a BMW with an Audi Shell and a Kia warranty. And then with the Cadillac saying that you don't buy rainy day cars because of this, I would think on rainy days you would clearly see beading on the paint. And that's something that would have been clearly noticeable. Now I understand you probably don't get to look over every single car in detail and stuff can get missed and maybe the angles are not there because of other vehicles in the way but I would think the beading is what you would be looking for.
Actually super fun video, it’s nice to buy what you like and be able to sell making some money as well… I should have gotten in the car business when I was younger, you give good advice and show how realistic the used car business is…
As far as new Fords at the auction goes. I believe it's where corporate Ford is coming down on dealerships for marking up their prices. This way said dealership didnt technically mark up the price. But they still get the marked up price money.
I like the truck. minimum issues. Just get new section on the bed or a new bed. 50k .. it isn't even broke in yet. So you have what amounts to a new truck that just happens to be 2 yrs old. When you have it fixed up. I don't think you'll have any issues finding a new owner for it. It's a real nice looking truck. Some nice old cars there. That Singray though.... *drools*. Nice old Caddy. Pity they arent as popular as they could be anymore. it looks really good for its age. obviously very well looked after. Make a nice fun summer car for someone. Chriss From France.
Why do you need to wait on a body shop to fix that truck? Appears to be a repair you can handle in your shop. Fender swap and paint. Or, find a salvage fender and you might even match the paint. Get the suspension parts you probably need off the same salvage truck, right? Same with the caddy. If that’s a bolt-on fender, swap that garbage repaired fender for a salvage fender.
You got great deals on this one. Is this a sign that the car market is deflating?? That Sierra is 25k+ all day in SoCal. And that duramax! I think I’ve seen a few high mileage suburbans near by asking 12k+ with 200k+ lol
