I staked money on you on Armbet. I bought the PPV. I watched tons of videos. I subscribed to multiple channels, liked videos, commented. I was invested in this match more than any other sporting event in years. Hell I even got back to going to the gym again because of armwrestling. Then came the match.... The fact that Devon tore a muscle in his arm in round 2 and continued to battle is a testament to the type of person he is. The two matches before him, West and Barboza were hurt and did not continue. Devon risked serious or permanent injury just to not let himself or any of his fans down. That shows his true character and the respect he has for himself, the sport and his fans. Much love to Devon and his family. Devon will continue to do great things for the sport for years to come. 💪🙏🏻

Imagine you're top 5 in the world at something and you are the one that everyone believes can defeat the champion, if you go out there and give up because you tore something in the 2nd out of 6 rounds it will haunt you forever but if you go out there regardless of injury and lay it all down on the line for those who believe in you and yourself there is absolutely nothing to hang your head about.
Devon flat out said he would put himself in positions that could cause injury or his arm to break. He wasn't lying. He was all in.

Devon if you read this, just know that it takes a really special person to be willing to fight Thor in a boxing match (with short notice should I add), and then be willing to push the boundaries once again to match up against a Leviathan like Levan. You've pushed yourself to new limits once again at 47 years old and that is truly inspiring. You've motivated me through my lows, to never quit, whatever the opposition I'm facing in life.
We will all face our "Leviathans" at a moment in time in our lives, and you've shown me that I can't let my fears dictate my actions. lol the funny thing is levan did not hurt him because of his strength its because of his technique it was not pure side pressure but it was his body weight if you guys rewatch the match pay attention to levan right foot and what he is really did to win this match
all i know is the devons arm was holding on to at list 600 pound of pressure because that when right foot came off the ground levan entire body wait was on devon plus his immense strength because of levan weight being higher on his body his center of gravity was higher creating more leverage

Dec 2019 - March2020 COVID had me down. That's when I discovered armwrestling (RUclips).
The first three matches I saw were of you Devon: you vs Matt Mast...vs Dave Chaffee...and I think Michael Todd.
I got hooked.
Can't feel too bad losing to an ox of a man.
I don't know the history of Levan's training, genetics or work ethic. What I see of him he appears to be a very humble and likeable young man. Certainly his strength didn't come by way of sitting on his rear-end, but via hard persistent work.
If you were close to evenly matched in strength, I have no doubt your skill, experience, endurance and strategic planning would have triumphed. But he's just too too strong.
So, have to be content pulling norm human beings.
It was clear that second round did something to your arm. But it wasn't so obvious on the table for the rest of the rounds. It just assisted that Levan was just ridiculously strong.
You did us proud Devan.

I think the fact that you never even mentioned the injury when talking to Neil at the end of the match says a lot about your character. You didn't use it as an excuse. In fact, you said you didn't have any excuses and that was such a fucking humble and honorable thing to do. To not undermine an opponents victory can be extremely difficult especially when an injury is involved. Mad respect! I'm super proud and really happy for you man. You're still the reason I watch this sport.
muscle pain injuries kick in after 1-2 hours the time he got injured he didn't feel anything
@@ShowMeYoBoob You can clearly see, once Devon is done talking on the mic, he goes back to Jodi and they talk about his arm. He looks at it and points etc you can see it as Levan is handed the mic. He also looks at it multiple times between 2nd and 3rd round and then 3rd and 4th. He knew and felt it.

@@ShowMeYoBoob I've strained my back deadlifting 600lbs natural. As soon as I hurt myself, the pain was instant. This isn't like being punched during a boxing match and feeling everything afterwards because your body is pumped up on adrenaline. 99% of people will feel pain if it's a significant injury. That's why between rounds Devon was moving his injured arm around while pinching the bicep loll... 99% of people will be able to identify significant injury when it happens. During most fights if you see a fighter tweak their shoulders or ANYTHING, it's INSTANTLY noticeable either in their movement or grimacing from pain. Taking punches and feeling bruises after IS NOT the EQUIVALENT of TEARING MUSCLES or SHATTERING BONES. So shaaaddap with w/e you're talking about. And EVEN WITH PUNCHES, you EVER SEE A BOXER GET KNOCKED DOWN FROM A BODY SHOT!?!? What the H3LLL would you call that lolll?
Definitely the athlete with the most impact to arm wrestling! I wasn’t drawn to Arm Wrestling until I’ve seen videos with you and Larry. The way you present the sport is incredible. You’re so passionate about the sport which I’ve never seen from a person in other sports.

It's not the strength of a single athlete, it's the strength that you shared and passed down to every person you inspired. I have the upmost respect for Levan and what he achieved, you can only admire his strength. But that pales in comparison to what you did for this community and the sport, again, the amount of people that look at you and fall in love with the sport and your personality.

Salute Devon, i'm probably not the first one that tolds you the words that i'm going to tell now, the day when i saw the legendary match i felt something that trascends the armwrestling itself, a Hero energy, the same energy that my father had,i lost him very recently, for me and maybe as any father is for anyone, he was my Hero and my first friend, you remind me him a lot as you are a father too, for me you are the GOKU of armwrestling, always in search of new challenges for improve yourself and the same struggle during the fight, however you are also a close friend despite i don't know you personally.You have a heart of courage and an explosive way to express your vital energy, a totally inspirational, motivational and full of life being, It doesn't matter how the match is gone, even this time you left something very deep into the people's hearts that have been watching you that evening. All my Respect Master of life.
No limits, no excuses. I love it. The fact is that you were the only one from the lighter guys who even dared and had the courage to pull this titan and guess what, no other of 300lbs and under will ever do that besides you, no one. You did what the greatest of them all champions do.

You do know The point of Devon talking was to hype it all up and try to get both insane amounts of money right. It's very much like UFC in that regard. The more hype the more eyes the more people buy in. The more money all will get, mostly the headliners however. Not an arm wrestler or someone who follows the sport closely. Though I have watched videos on RUclips because it is fun to watch when it pops up on my feed. I have watched a number of your videos and noticed your character and felt you would be a great person to be around and life of any gathering. So, I must say, your humble, respectful response here is outstanding. It is a pristine example of a true champion that so many of our youth today would benefit from seeing. Congratulations on just being a fine human and true champion.

The fact you clearly were injured but never quit speaks volumes on you courage and inspiration you bring to the sport and your fans. Get bigger Devon, you have the frame and health that can get bigger. Levan is as big as he can go before health will become an issue so it's the knowledge he has to work on. I see rematch in 2 years where the two of you can get closer to the others strength.

I think Levan banned himself from this sport. Noone will want to fight him because noone is that stupid to pump such a crazy amount of SAA&HGH.
No way Devon will try this again. He doesn’t want to get seriously injured or even become ill from doping like Levan may soon be.
