John Brzenk was there together with other champs to congrats Devon. It is amazing with over 4 decades John still keep the excellent health and shape to pull with ones just half of his age and remain less injuries with countless matches. Devon will be like John, with stamina and passion had them bonded whole life with this sport. In the end, most professionals from WAL are so open and friendly despite of the language differences, the Pride and Sport man ship always present. Devon since the time he entered arm wrestling world, sure is the one broaden this sport to all horizon of this globe and this man is a living legend for the entertaining talents, sport man ship and continuous proving the athletes like John Brzenk, and like himself, like the others in WAL, in the world still can be in the game while the other sports worn out the athletes with the injuries. Devon and his character, his courage to speak when he can and only speak to bring the positives to everyone together not dividing. The legend not only to make himself a king, a star, not to come and walk away without words but contribute and be a part of everyone from the beginning to the end. Devon always show his passion of making this one among the most healthiest, most exciting sports for a long time even after he retires from WAL.
Haha, He armwrestles like I used to. Great technique! Locks in the shoulder behind the arm and he can laugh and hold him all day long then just push down with the shoulder...
30:15 this was sounding like a retirement speech but it turned into a just being an amazing a motivational message p.s. I ordered the PPV and couldn't be happier. Thanks Engin
14:34 The part that is the most exciting and comes to mind when remembering this match is when Devon yells "Yeah!", elated to know that he's able to equal or even overcome Prudnik's post in an orthodox style, and doesn't have to throw himself into the King's Move just to survive. That's the way I interpret anyway, he even constantly calls himself "old" and "broken", even after winning the match. I feel like he surprised himself and was made very happy when this happened. It looks like it's also almost everyone else's favorite part, given that it's also the **Most replayed** part of the video, if you hover over the video progress bar.
Not necessarily. He knew he's solid in other angles than just the king's move. He's a supermatch specialist. He uses the king's move in round 1 to stop and do massive damage to opponents hand and drain them of energy. That way it's way easier to do other stuff in later rounds as he's fresh in these angles unlike their opponent who usually desperately tries to pin the king's move round 1 cause the pin looks so so close (it's just a bait that Devon sets up, he's deliberately in that open of an angle round 1). He typically employed this strategy ever since Wal switched to supermatch format in 2018, at least against orthodox style pullers. Though if he goes against specialists in unorthodox angles (Michael Todd, Jerry Cadorette), he counters them directly (climbing out of Michael's kings move, meeting Jerry at center in a hook and not letting him get his press angle down)
I think Devon just really wants a stop. To put the brakes on. He’s not a very explosive guy so he puts everything into getting a stop. When he gets it he knows it’s his game.
Absolute domination by the champ. Devon has made this sport what it is today. "Fight me, fight me!" 🤣 It would suck to lose having that whispered in my ear
Prudnik tired out first round Devon holding his strength by using Nichael Todd move to stall and save energy - you can tell prudnik energy sapped! What a move for Devon!
I don’t mind the move as long as the refs enforce it properly and most of the time they don’t They eventually did call a foul but it was 20 seconds late. Intentional slips when about to be pinned is also a ridiculous rule. Having said that at worst it could have turned 3-1 Devon as he could have pulled kings every round really.
@@oldironsides4107 it wasn't called any late. It was called immediately when devon dropped the shoulder below the table while simultaneously having his hand in the losing side. No foul before that moment.

Man Prudnyk looked like he was in some disbelief there at times wow, crazy stuff man, Larrats like perfect combination of power meets pure technique is really something else, I really really do hope prudnyk learns from this to and also accepts that Devon was at this time simply better then him no shame in that, I have zero doubt Prudnyk was 1000 percent absolutely positive leading up to this that Devon while formidable was "over the hill" or simply not on his level at this time/anymore, and that he would simply defeat him period, I have zero doubt Prudnyk believed that straight up! so when this happens it can def be a mind screw, I do hope though he takes the loss with humility and has a new found respect/appreciation for how good devon is, instead of taking the excuse/ resentment/ etc path but time will tell.

One of my favorite matches. You have to wonder if Devon does a little yay before he gets up there or if that level of aggression and intensity is just natural hype. Dude is absolutely out of control. He's a fokn absolute animal dude.
I think this must be the most Amazing Mach I have ever witnessed. Everything about it, Jody in the background, everything EPIC !

OMG. It's really exhausting. Devon's routine to break the opponent down Psychologically to be able to win along with Jody's yelling. Good God.

Engin Terzi, thanks for putting this all together. You're the real champion, mate.
He’s 47 and still dominate, that’s amazing
He’s still whining and complaining you mean
@@IIRyainII no i think he meant dominating since thats what he did
Haha, He armwrestles like I used to. Great technique! Locks in the shoulder behind the arm and he can laugh and hold him all day long then just push down with the shoulder...
30:15 this was sounding like a retirement speech but it turned into a just being an amazing a motivational message
Though if he goes against specialists in unorthodox angles (Michael Todd, Jerry Cadorette), he counters them directly (climbing out of Michael's kings move, meeting Jerry at center in a hook and not letting him get his press angle down)
@@doxy7023 True. Devon its such a supermatch specialist. If you dont flash pin devon or the first round its too long, its over.
@@nachocudicio2121 just like Sergey kalinichenko said..if prudnyk does not flash pin Devon it's over..devon win
I think Devon just really wants a stop. To put the brakes on. He’s not a very explosive guy so he puts everything into getting a stop. When he gets it he knows it’s his game.
Bro at the end to shake hands with Levan,Denis and John in the span of 10 seconds feels like a fever dream hahahah
Absolute domination by the champ. Devon has made this sport what it is today. "Fight me, fight me!" 🤣 It would suck to lose having that whispered in my ear
Dominated? Without the kingsmove first round, he would have lost - as always. Shame on Devon.

Ха ха, но Денису он в голову не проник ! Он и сейчас победил бы Ларрата.
Prudnik tired out first round Devon holding his strength by using Nichael Todd move to stall and save energy - you can tell prudnik energy sapped! What a move for Devon!
I don’t mind the move as long as the refs enforce it properly and most of the time they don’t
They eventually did call a foul but it was 20 seconds late.

Right. When she was actually yelling elbow elbow elbow I thought what an asset she is. You could see that prudnick was not enjoying it.
2 v 1.
This one felt totally over the top though. Cheapens the victory in my view. It’s like he creates all this drama just to get to a place where he can arm wrestle. Shut up and pull is what I feel like saying. :/
For me this is a looser strategy, If you need words to win a muscle match you are lost

Have you ever seen a python tightening his grip over his prey slowly and steadily, not crushing or breaking the bones, but squeezing tight so the prey can't breathe; each time the prey exhales, the constrictor tightens its coils to take up space, causing suffocation and ultimate defeat.

But you're a boxer, you can't say the same, when you're fighting matt and it's clear that you're stronger and the fists have prevailed and won. 28:43 Levan subtly giving the message. Champion's champion.
I like the little bow he did before there 3rd pull so thats a good sign even just little things like that are good signs of humility and respect.
Without the kingsmove first round, he would have lost - as always. Shame on Devon.
