I agree - begrudgingly. My dad was an art teacher and as a kid, I'd sit drawing. He'd come and look over my shoulder and say; the legs are too short, the hands are too small. A quitter would have quit, but I didn't. When I got my first real praise must have been at art college. I came home with a sketch of a foot and lower leg. My dad praised it highly and I felt a weird high surge through my body. I knew the praise was real. Anyway, I hope Sandris goes on to be a great man and a great arm-wrestler, even if he doesn't thank Devon for any of it. (I don't appreciate Devon's toxic trash talk, but I do appreciate this explanation).

24:30 Is actually kind of a beautiful moment: Devon says "Remember me -- I'll see you in time," acknowledging that he knows the young buck still has a ways to go, but will probably be back to overtake him down the lin3. He's kind of giving him a big brother gift, if Sandris is willing to hear it.
The way this is filmed/ presented/ with the interviews and voice overs during the video is absolute perfection. When Devon said something along the lines of " I have to show him how great I am so that I can inspire him" gave me chills. I recommend watching while wearing headphones 🎧 it sounds incredible.

By filming it six weeks ahead of time but selling it as a live production? Neil called us all conspiracy theorists too... pretty much chewed out one of his fans who asked a simple question on a live feed too. Not to mention he doesn't pay his athletes for their flight, hotel, or even offer compensation for the match... what kind of sporting event doesn't pay its professional athletes who gave such a great show? Imagine not paying Mike Tyson for one of his matches.

This table was held properly, there was no concern with what needed to be done, I agree, all the other venues should take careful notes and emulate this.

What Sandris has is natural talent. What Devon is trying to show him is that next level; where talent meets obsession. When you cross that line, you will do whatever it takes to become the champion. Constantly testing your limits in an effort to break them. Devon wants to live in his head and be a wake-up call to always be ready.
Devon is at such a high level it’s ridiculous. Every elite superheavyweight is heavier than him and he’s still elite well above his natural weight class.
Yeah, I wonder if he's not using as many PEDs as a lot of the top guys, or if his body just has a harder time putting on the muscle.
Either way he's slowly getting bigger, and I'm all here for it. His dedication to the sport is something else..

guys Devon for sure uses cycles before big matches to prepare, he hints it all the time, but they all do. He also mentioned few times how he is not ready to push as much as other people (namely Denis) etc. I would say he uses them, just not abuse.

This is such a smart way to show arm wrestling matches. There's so much "down time" between the actual pulling that I know it loses a lot of people. Having the commentary and the music makes this really epic and a lot more engaging for a far wider audience. I hope this format sticks - appreciate the work that went into it!

@Alejandro Gjezi yeah. If Genadi actually beat Devon then it would be as simple as oh Genadi won and Devon lost the end. However, Genadi started early on almost every round and never got called. Instead they only called Devon for pre loading even though he had no choice but to assume Genadi would false start with no foul. The other matches were great but that one was awful.
Hey Neil, just wanna say that after watching all of the different promotions lately, i'm convinced that Arm Wars definitely has the best ruleset to provide entertaining matches yet allowing the best man to always win. If i wanted a match to happen where there would be no questions asked afterwards, I'd hope it be under Arms wars rules

I've watched Devon for years and he also took hard losses at Sandris's age now seeing him still at the pinnacle of the sport mastering it is very inspiring for sure. You have to be 300 plus pounds to even stand with Devon.

I’ve seen ALOT of Devon’s matches, but this one was a mixed plate of brutal, methodical, and clinical savagery! Wow!! I hope Sandris took the experience in fully and grows from it. Devon appears sincere when he says he wants to see this young man reach his full potential.
Wow the production is amazing. The lighting, the venue, the sound design, the narration, the ref was great. This is how you put on a show.

Arm Wars is of excellent production quality. It's very unique. I gotta say I was disappointed that they at least didn't say clearly that the match had already happened when they did the pre-match interviews.
Watching Sandris was on Armwrestling Newz a few "days" before the fight, acting like the match was gonna be due soon but it actually already happened, was very strange to say the least
I honestly think they were deliberately trying to misinform us. Neil even had the word "live" on some of his videos.
Just for clarity - ARM WARS had nothing to do with Sandris going on to Armwrestling Newz & did not sanction or endorse that. This is the true high hook. Riser engaged, full cup and full pronation. Totally controlling sandris pronator while keeping his wrist flat. No way to offensively hit with anything due to your rotation being completely controlled.
Thus repost truly has my mind seeing something a little different. When Mr. Larratt tells young Mr. Sedis, "What do you feel?", I laughed out loud due to the specialty forces that enforces exceptional performance to be successful. There is a commandment that states to do unto others as you wish done to you, Mums' are great as Devon quoted his Mum.
It's a good thing Levan exists and did what he did...guys like Devon love to climb, but they need a mountain to do so.
