So, I went to the range one day and there was this guy there who had a 10/22 set up on a chassis for precision shooting. That guy showed me his targets and all of those holes were right precisely in the middle of the target all clustered around it. Just as it should be. So, I asked him about his setup. He told me all about the aftermarket Boyds stock, the Kidd trigger system and bolt. He had a bull barrel of some sort on it. The receiver came from somewhere else. I thought it looked and shot pretty dang good and I told him so. Then I said, "So, let me see if I got this straight, somewhere, in a box, is a complete Ruger 10/22 that you rebuilt piece by piece until now you have that one and this one?" He thought about it and grinned. He told me he guessed I was right. He shot for a while longer and I moved down to the pistol range. Later on he packed up and he made a point to tell me he was gonna go locate all those parts and rebuild that stock Ruger 10/22. Then he laughed and said he had some different parts that would improve it some. I just laughed. I knew that pretty soon he would have another 10/22 built and the original still sitting in a box in pieces.
I watched a TV show years ago about a guy who took his favorite hunting rifle to a gunsmith to have it "upgraded". By the end of the show, they had replaced every single part, (basically a custom made rifle), charged him nearly 10k, and didn't even give him his original "favorite" rifle back.

Fast forward to the ammo shortage/price gauching of spring 2021 and buying the binary trigger is the cheapest part of all the fun you have with those magazine dumps. When you set the trigger for binary mode, there should be a sending unit that makes a dollar sign appear in your red-dot!
Did it first day at the Texas state fair. Took me like 5 tries, but I finally walked away with one of those huge stuffed animals on my shoulders. Some guy offered me 50 bucks for it, but I couldn't bring myself it to let it go. Good times lol
Honestly a .22LR is a great anti-zombie weapon, because it'll go through the human skull but it won't punch out the back and instead bounce around instead. Plus they aren't very loud. And you can kill a deer with one from 50m with a lung shot but I honestly wouldn't suggest it, not very humane but it can be done.
When installing their other offerings the first step is to toss the sticker in the garbage. I would only keep the sticker if the firearm was to be stored next to a similar firearm so there is no confusion by myself or someone else to avoid any accidental discharges.
@@joewoodchuck3824 I don't know if there is any truth to the story, but I've been told that the Ruger 10-22 that you get at a WalMart is built cheaper than one you could get at an actual gun store. I have pretty much have the same setup less the upgraded barrel, different brace and different red dot. With 4 extra magazines it cost me about $1300. And, that's not including my suppressor(s).
Currently the 10/22 chargers are hard to get and when you find them theyve skyrocketed in price. I’m in Oklahoma and had to buy mine from Vermont. I got lucky and it wasn’t marked up an abhorrent amount. I got mine for $276+$25shipping+$20transfer at my LGS. I had to buy the 1913 rail adapter. That was $50. The braces are $160 for the polymer strut version and $199 for the aluminum strut version. The binary is $299. So total for me was $276+$25+$20+$50+$160+$300=$831 As for the suppressor, I did a form1 suppressor. Basically bought a solvent trap off gunbroker, filed a form 1 for $200, and drilled the trap when I was approved. The approval was something like 4 weeks for a form1 vs a year plus for a form4. Build the suppressor yourself. You won’t be unhappy. This is the form1 kit I used but you can go with a JK kit or WTT or whatever else you want. www.gunbroker.com/item/883788779
I am so glad your binary works. I own several , but my 10/22 version does not work in any of my 10/22s. Franklin Armory tried to make it work , but could not. The 10/22 version does not work in every 10/22 , and good luck getting them to fix or replace.

Great post, thanks for sharing with us. You had me scared for a minute. Thank goodness it didn’t change everything, my ex wife is still in Louisiana and I’m still in North Carolina, phew!!!! But, still, great vlog!
I hate to say it, but most good accessories cost as much as your gun. For example.... If you buy the best bolt action rifle for precision, target, matches, or even just to allow you to utilize it to its best potential, you will spend near the price of the rifle on accessories to be able to use it to the precision that it can be used. A $2000 rifle is useless until you spend another $2000 on a scope that utilizes it's potential. But then again, this is a lot to spend on a range toy. The brace, suppressor, and sight also cost almost as much as the pistol for each of them. Best advice if you are low on cash, try out a variety of firearms, pick your favorite and then customize it, it's worth it to have a firearm that properly fits you and you are comfortable with. In my opinion, this is just a really fun range firearm.
Reminds me of when I bought my AR for $400.... $2500 later I have a nail driving, long distance hunting, rapid firing, range officer infuriating monster beast.

Thanks again for the videos..
Hey 22plinkster I built my Ruger charger almost the exact same as yours . However I have the take down model and they didn’t have the 6 inch barrel with the take down model so I had to get a slightly longer barrel .. but it looks almost identical to yours .. I love it . Thank you for making this video ;)
They'll refer to binary triggers as, "more controllable, more accurate & more deadly than a bumpstock"... No NFA item either, Trump & the NRA will give 'em up faster than a rainbow haired rapper can give up his friends in court.
Can't say I am comfortable with the concept of this trigger. The established gun safety practice of removing your finger from the trigger to prevent accidental discharge on pretty much any other firearm actively fires another round with this trigger. That for me crosses a line in firearms safety that I'm just not OK with regardless of the option to flip the lever.

Why would anybody want a binary trigger???? That thing is incredible and was busting up on your musical target!! Wowoww. Congrats on you build brother
I came here from a zip22 video...
the amount of relief seeing a gun that works so well compared to the zip is just bliss to my ears.
I've always been interested in the 10/22. Now I like it even more
110round drums? That's be fun
Melted barrel?
They are!
Fast forward to the ammo shortage/price gauching of spring 2021 and buying the binary trigger is the cheapest part of all the fun you have with those magazine dumps. When you set the trigger for binary mode, there should be a sending unit that makes a dollar sign appear in your red-dot!
The trigger is not available in: CA, CT, DC, FL, HI, IA, MD, NJ, NY, RI, and WA
Good thing I live in AZ
OR gang still hanging on to them :)

This reminds me of the fair game where you try to cut the star out
So much money i spent
Except this gun is accurate.
Thought I got that star one time, dude found a tiny microscopic spec of red at the very edge and wouldn't let me have it. Pissed me off.
Did it first day at the Texas state fair. Took me like 5 tries, but I finally walked away with one of those huge stuffed animals on my shoulders. Some guy offered me 50 bucks for it, but I couldn't bring myself it to let it go. Good times lol
Still one of the funniest carnival games!
Jerry Miculek + binary trigger = 5000 rounds per minute.
JM + binary trigger = melted barrel! ;
JM + binary trigger = malfunctioned firearm 😂
JM + binary trigger = RAIL GUN
JM + binary trigger = The definition of semi fully automatic.
He can actually outrun them if I recall from the video
Pinkster, I would love to see how that does with the German made GSG rotary magazine! I think you would be smiling from ear to ear! 😁
Hey Joe that’s a superb idea. I smiled from ear to ear. With the rotary I’ll bust my jaws from glee. Good idea 💡..
I don't think the gsg rotary mags fit in a 10/22
Yes, I have a big grin. Loved when you shot the musical targets. Such a hoot.
In case you have to "Double Tap" those zombie squirrels.
The great American squirrel hunt
You can make your little jokes, but I'd still place my wager on you not wanting to FAFO with that thing, though.
Sometimes you see 10 squirrels at once, if you can fill your bag in one moment...why not try?
Honestly a .22LR is a great anti-zombie weapon, because it'll go through the human skull but it won't punch out the back and instead bounce around instead. Plus they aren't very loud.
And you can kill a deer with one from 50m with a lung shot but I honestly wouldn't suggest it, not very humane but it can be done.
The selector switch sticker looks a little tacky to me, other than that it's a nice set up and you can't go wrong with a Ruger 10/22.
Good thing the sticker doesn't come preinstalled, eh? 😂
When installing their other offerings the first step is to toss the sticker in the garbage.
I would only keep the sticker if the firearm was to be stored next to a similar firearm so there is no confusion by myself or someone else to avoid any accidental discharges.
They refuse to make trigger stickers that aren’t cheap and ugly.
Or if you just dip the rifle in red(nuclear green my fave) and black and maybe some silver(a dash) swirls...
I like some rifles tlc'd up
Thou idk if that gun would be dippable...the materials
Video idea: you use the binary trigger and go against Jerry Miculek with a normal trigger. first to dump the mag wins.
Somethings telling me Jerry still wins.
Jerry would beat him with a bolt action rifle still
I wanna see jerry use a binary trigger
Jerry has a video using a binary trigger
Jerry has a video up of him trying to use a binary trigger, his finger is too fast for it.

Heard that! I'm going to the shop Monday and ordering one. Really liking the Binary trigger as well.

It's just a short 10-22. My 10-22 was a piece of crap. Most of my Rugers have been crap. Still evaluating my Super Redhawk.
@@joewoodchuck3824 I don't know if there is any truth to the story, but I've been told that the Ruger 10-22 that you get at a WalMart is built cheaper than one you could get at an actual gun store. I really wouldn't need one of these as I am not what you would call a "Gun Nut" but I respect the hell out of people that choose to stock up. Money is always a big decision maker for me.
@@deanstephens5940 I've been shooting literally my entire life and competitively for some of it, and to this day I don't know what a gun but is.
There could be something to what you said about unannounced special production run guns. I inadvertently bought a shotgun that way in a discount store once. I hope it's nothing that would ever affect operation however. For the life of me I can't remember where I got the 10-22. Just glad to be rid of it. I got a very sweet 1 MOA Savage .22 lr by trading the Ruger and another low end .22.
That's a nice set up. But I still stick with my Marlin model 60.
I love 22’s. They’re accurate, reliable, low recoil, cheap ammo & consistent.
You get a "thumbs up" just for the Sesame Street martians. I love those guys!

I really liked the slowed down laser footage, you really see the squeeze influence each of your trigger pulls are making.
HUH!!! 22's are too small for SHTF ! Said no one ever
Ya! But add the bionary trigger to a Sig MPX K9 and 30 round mags and oh man 2.8 seconds dump of 9mm. It’s like having a full auto MP5.
The 22 is the assassins choice. One shot to the back of the head and no exit wound.

@@randybeard6040 yes sir. Because it is a very common gun
Btw to the other above prob could carry thousands of rounds. And it's an all around gun. Can't hunt deer with one but I will guarantee you could kill one. Ruger 1022 for me. Light accurate and mostly reliable with right ammo
If you could inform me on the cost brake down of this build? I’d really appreciate it.
So total for me was $276+$25+$20+$50+$160+$300=$831
As for the suppressor, I did a form1 suppressor.

This trigger coupled with the 110 round mag makes the 10/22 viable as a fighting weapon imo

I am so glad your binary works. I own several , but my 10/22 version does not work in any of my 10/22s. Franklin Armory tried to make it work , but could not. The 10/22 version does not work in every 10/22 , and good luck getting them to fix or replace.
That 6 in barrel with the can is the perfect setup.
That would be my home defense gun

Actually, you are paying for the grin after the mag dump!
@@enrique88005 Did you watch the video
Looks like a lot of fun.
$300.....
Ouch, that's about the cost of my entire pistol

You have these on so many of your rifles. I wish they weren't so expensive.
For a second I thought this was hickok's channel and someone else was hosting it but it's just their range seem so similar 😂
Can't say I am comfortable with the concept of this trigger. The established gun safety practice of removing your finger from the trigger to prevent accidental discharge on pretty much any other firearm actively fires another round with this trigger. That for me crosses a line in firearms safety that I'm just not OK with regardless of the option to flip the lever.
if you had that trigger on a Zip, you would get two jams each time you pulled the trigger
Lol
