Out of all the versions of the MCU Spidey mask, this has got to be my favourite. Great accuracy, great shape, eye sensors, LED’s, and more are reasons I cannot put into words how amazing this is
Finally someone who would explain how this thing actually works! i've been wanting to make this for a decade and i've seen so many people doing amazing job with servos and stuff yet they never revealed how to do it. Thank you my man! you earn a subscriber, i wish you would email me the source code if not asking for too much but this much explanation is already more than enough. Stay awesome my man!
It's not as bad as it seems, they just accumulate over time lol. You gotta think, there's 3 pins per servo, 3 pins per sensor, 2 for power to the power board, 2 coming off the power board, 3 for the button for the instant kill (cuz of they way i coded it), 2 for the LEDs (cuz they're in parallel), 6 for the screen that tells me the battery percentage, 2 for the button to turn on the aforementioned screen, and probably a couple I didn't think of. It's really not super bad, my wiring is just a bit messy
@@TheArachnid No problem! But i have a question. Is it too expensive to ship to the netherlands or is that not possible? Not that i have the money now, i have to save some... 😂
The Arachnid WOW! Thank you for the quick response I’m thinking of making a spiderman mask and I thought this mask looked really good!!! Don’t stop being awesome!
I appreciate that! These were only the version 2, the version 4 is out by now and the version 5 is coming very soon. I'm not currently selling them because of COVID, and I'm not sure if I will afterwards. As dumb as this sounds, it pretty much just depends on if I feel like it as this is just a hobby for me. I'm sorry for the lack of definite answers, but it's the best I currently have.
Nope lol. I had tried using swim caps, but they kept ripping and just made it harder to get on, so I just put my raw face meat directly into the electric head glove.
Hey Arachnid, cos I'm pretty much making the same mask as yours, can I ask some questions? how did you attach the fabric to the masks and what glue did you use? what did you use for the lenses and did you cut it out? Thanks!, ur answer would be extremely helpful
I hot glued the fabric mask. As shown in the video, the lenses are from the toy that I made this out of. The rims/black outlines are made out of a soda bottle that I cut up and covered in black vinyl, though I'd suggest using something like an old plastic folder for plastic instead to prevent warping. Good luck!
@@TheArachnid Thanks so much you have really helped! I will use black final but have folded the fabric on the inside of the mask using double sided tape and it works well! Thanks again.
Also, did you hot glue the final lenses to the fabric? Did you glue the fabric to the side of the mask or was it only attached to the lenses? did you do the lines in just byron pen? Thanks again.
@@velocityspider9395 I glued the fabric around the lenses and then covered that with the vinyl and glued the chin and perimeter of the face to the shell. The gluing all around the shell probably isn't necessary tho ngl
Are these eyes 3D printed? If so did you model them or are the files available somewhere like thingiverse? Because I was thinking of making something similar. Thanks in advance!
Sorry fam. As I said in another comment: "Well, given the price of shipping, the price of parts, the fact that other people selling basically the same thing sell them for twice as much, and the amount of time I put into each one, not even including the fact that I, myself, am a broke student and this is my only current source of income because of the crappy job market in my area, I think the price is perfectly reasonable and I respectfully yet firmly say sorry for your luck, my guy. I don't make much off of these masks, and just about every cent that I do make goes into funding other projects. Again, no disrespect to you, just trying to clarify my point of view in the most straightforward fashion." The price isn't high to smite the people who want to buy one and can't afford it; it's about as low as I can make it while still having enough to make it worthwhile. However, you could always try what I did... I wanted one but couldn't afford the ones I saw, so I made my own and figured out how to sell them for half the price of the other guys'. Best of luck to you.
No. I sell these in order to make money to make other stuff, so doing a tutorial would be self sabotage. However, there are lots of tutorials on electronics online. That's where I learned everything I know.
This i soo gooood because the other machenical lenses are controlled by remotes, buttons on the head , and this this on the other hand is controlled by the eyes itself

that is super cool and its not a fat mask too from all the mechanics so good job on that

Honestly, very worth it. It literally follows your eyes, but you should change the face shell a bit. I’ll try to save up for it!
I might have missed something, but, is this actually controlled with your eyes or?
It is indeed. I have several updates on it on my channel for a more in-depth explanation :)
This is amazing, I'd just try improve the face she'll and add more texture to the mask, then it's pretty much the movie one
