With anti democratic behaviour from the Spanish Government an EU member, it is not hard to image why people voted for brexit. The EU is anti democracy and the Catalonia Independence movement proves it. The Spanish are authoritarian why do you think they also have started demanding Gibraltar and its free citizens be turned over.

As a native Australian is see parallels between the struggle of the aboriginals in Australia and the Catalan people or any people victim of imperialism. We as Aboriginals are fighting hard as well to retain our last shred of autonomy against the ever powerful state. Hong Kong, Taiwan, Catalonia, Native Americans, Maoris, West papuans, people in the Amazones, the Irish, Scottish, Africans, Palistinians, working class people All over the world,... We are all victims of the same brutal imperialism. We should all be united in our fight against imperialism because one thing is for sure that the imperialist powers are united(even though they fake conflict).

This production is absolutely wrong with Spaniards in Catalonia. People against from independence are not only from Vox. Vox is the right-wing party but other political parties like PSC or PP (majority of people against independence) are in favour of Spain's unity and they are not racist or against immigration, and most importantly, they are a majority in Catalonia, around 52%. This is a populist production.
So embarrasing that unionist are described like pro-Trump groups. This is not true, they are a minority of all Spanish Nationalism in Catalonia. Catalans manipulate childs in schools with political pro-catalan ideas, that part doesn't appear in this documentary. Also, they censure companies and local shops that are against independence, just like Nazies in Germany.

It's mostly líes or half truths what the catalán separatist rant about...Cataluña has always been Spain....Since Román Times.,..then in the middle ages It was part of the KINGDOM of Aragón......the castellers never were prohibited by Franco's Regime which during the 1940's were hard for the whole country,....1714 the fall of Barcelona to the spanish Armies of the new Dinasty of the Borbons Who were the winners in that war (the spanish Succesion war when Cataluña backed the Hubsbourg pretender ) to the spanish Throne .....It had been a civil war in truth.....That Spain invaded then is a huge lie.

I had to stop the documentary when the journalist says that in 1714 Catalonia was defeated by Spain. That is FALSE. There was a civil Spanish war between two contendants to Spain throne.
