      Exactly why Republicans in the U.S. are even more against abortion, even in cases of rape and incest. Some of them are even whispering about restricting birth control access. It's not "sanctity of life" they preach, they're just using Christianity and their so called "moral high ground" to really control women to birth more workers, consumers, and soldiers. Look at the lawsuit Idaho, Missouri, and Kansas GOP Attorney Generals recently filed. They're mad that lower teen pregnancies (because of abortion access to online mifepristone) are resulting in population loss, "diminishment of political representation and loss of federal funds.” They don't care about human life because if they did, they'd actually care about what happens AFTER that baby is born and the health and well-being of the mothers that carry and deliver these babies.

    Population decline is good for planet earth. It is overburdened by population and being destroyed due to over exploitation of natural resources. GDP is a bad indicator to measure progress or well being of human. What matters is GDP per capita on price parity basis and equitable distribution for well being of population. At present we see few super rich people, vast poor people and struggling middle class in most of the countries.

      Counties can’t figure out how they will have people pay taxes in future due to ALL developed countries falling decline of population…growing older population to be supported as well. First they hv tried (under political guise to trick everyone) to push mass immigration from poor countries and blend the social differences, which has totally failed as seen by results of social chaos and loss of their own national identity. Now trying to ban immigration ,but too late to stop changes. Perhaps leaders should try sitting down with think tank and others to attempt to solve this tax & worker problem in a different way!! Our World is overpopulated and can’t possibly sustain more human population… get ready to change the status quo to the long term benefit of our people AND planet. We’re suppose to have vast resource of intelligence… Use it!

      Retirement age should be increased. People should be prepared to work full time or part time as long as they can. Only very old physically disabled people should qualify for social security. Many of these people may not need any social security as they may have savings to sustain them. Social security may be needed by unemployed people. It is bad economic policies that leads to unemployment, lack of saving when people are earning to sustain them and this needs to be corrected. Why immigrants are needed, if population is decreasing let economic activities also decrease to sustainable levels. GDP will decrease but why it needs to increase when population is going down.

    • @_loss_
      @_loss_ 13 дней назад +1

      You're delusional thinking retiring will be an option even if you're a crippled old person. Just look at developing countries where old people work till they die or physically can't move.
      There won't be any pension money waiting for them that they themselves haven't saved up which most people haven't.
      This then results in a further class divide just like in those developing countries where the rich can afford to retire while the rest of us have to struggle. That is not to mention the availability of health care....

    • @bkgupta5528
      @bkgupta5528 13 дней назад

      If people don't save money, when they could, why blame the Government. In India, if you have worked in government job, you get lifelong pension after retirement. If you work in organized sector, you get gratuity (15 days of last drawn salary for number of years worked) plus provident fund, which is your mandatory contribution plus employers contribution and interest accumulated. This can keep you going for rest of your life. It is only people in unorganized sectors, who do not have any such privilege. I think only such people need to be provided with old age pension from government funds.

    I don't see any problem in declining population maybe more countries could follow Russia.
    Just watched a film on plastic pollution in Indonesia and Jakarta is one of the most densely populated countries in the world at 70 million, the same population as UK.
    Every country has increasing population whether is due to migration from increasing third world populations or declining Western population due to affluence and rising debt and longer life expectancy means most women have to work now.
    They talk about saving the planet! from global warming! human rights! pollution! and obsession with preserving human life.
    But they won't talk about the real elephant in the room, world overpopulation by humans. No animal would be allowed to increase without nature controlling its numbers why should humans be any different, the problem "IS HUMANS!!".
    And as long as population keeps increasing wars and pestilence will preval whether it with or without weapons, the new weapon in the west is Empathy where you can invade a country by putting on a sad face and claiming asylum and they will refuse to send you back to where you came from, one thing I do know the chaos is not going to go away.

    • @Ubesoft-vc5te
      @Ubesoft-vc5te 9 дней назад +1

      No
      The population decline in Russia can be attributed to four significant periods. First, during Operation Barbarossa, the USSR lost approximately 24 million people, including a substantial number of men. While the population did experience some recovery, it never fully rebounded to its previous levels.
      The second major factor was the decline that began in 1988, just before the collapse of the Soviet Union. This period marked the beginning of a demographic downturn that would only worsen with the eventual disintegration of the USSR, which resulted in a loss of around 25 million people, including millions of men who vanished from the population. During this time, no one was having children, and the fertility rate plummeted to around 1.6-one of the lowest in the entire world.
      Following the Soviet collapse, birth rates continued to decline, and by the time Vladimir Putin came to power, the demographic situation was already dire.
      Currently, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine represents the fourth significant demographic challenge. Yes, the war has certainly contributed to the population decline, but it is important to note that Putin is not solely to blame for this crisis. The underlying issues have deep historical roots, and the demographic decline was inevitable, whether Moscow liked it or not.

Then there is the issue of gender. A boy is revered in Africa and I'd you keep having daughters, it becomes a problem. So in Africa the fertility rates are so high and culture and society pressures will keep it that way. 6:51

    A bonkers solution? Surely that is the one that will solve that problem. The real problem stems from WWII when many young males were killed or sent to the gulags, and not procreating. Leaving a dip in the male bread winner population which repeats with little diminution every 25 years. Putin's mad gamble and his army's inadequacy has added yet another, 25 year cycle of less males. But apart from the mad gamble of capitalism to hitch a reliance on an expanding populace - why should a falling population be harmful? Go on - tell me.

      A falling population is harmful to heavily socialized or communist economies because there are fewer young people to pay for supporting the older people. No one to work to pay for the care of the elders.
      And of course a falling population is bad for Russia in particular who has historically relied on a disposable peasant population to expand and defend its resources and territory. And so far russia has never shown an interest in a different strategy (Ie, diplomatic relations.)

      @@youtubename7819 The improvements in healthcare mean that nominal retirement age of 65 produces fit and healthy "old" people in greater numbers. And certainly in the UK the retirement age for state pensions is rising, in response. Plus a lot of charitable endeavours are staffed by retired people, and the government rely on that so they don't have to provide. A falling population is not, of itself, a problem. Failure to adapt is. Immigration is the de facto solution, and Europe & the US are fighting it - unsuccessfully. The alternative is more people, more pollution, climate change and societal collapse. You choose? Have a nice day.

    Why is the reduction of population a bad thing? By the end of this century, it's safely to assume that with the AI advancement, 99.9% of current human jobs can be done by AI. AI labor will be abundant, but natural resources will always be limited, and even more so in the future. So what does Russia or any country need heavy population for? Contribute nothing but consume the very limited natural resources.

      They would need a big population to exert dominance over their neighbours - or so they think.
