@@Rangai could you recommend or do you have a post providing a full list of equipment needed to start broadcasting local grassroots level sports please. Thank you
@@ferdiaofla you can co the automated route like the veo cam 3, or our preference is a Panasonic HC-X2000 with a zoom controller and Yolo Mini. We can then use these on multi cam broadcasts too with the Yolo Ultra
Very vague explanation. From when you set up the hotspot and hit record on the Atem. How does it know to go to your studio? Can you explain that interface of how you get it to your studio and into the streaming bridge?
We could do a video on the streaming bridge if you like but this pairing streaming bridge➡️ATEM is a manufacturer design. Essentially the streaming bridge has a streamkey and you simply direct the Atem to it, at the studio end the stream is output from the bridge via HDMI or SDI
We use H2R graphics and have experimented with both .png backgrounds and coded css to get the look we want. When we are doing a single cam or limited crew we add a streamdeck for one touch control. This allows you to choose timer presets for each half, scoring increments important for rugby, welcome, halftime and end game graphics or programme splash screens and advertising. Just having a “Rāngai Live” splash adds tons of production value. We mount this streamdeck with a magic-arm, crab claw and ulanzi phone mount so the camera op can run everything from his tripod. I will add that the more we do and the bigger our crew the less we need all this. we have higher value project that this setup is better for, ie. Multi cam shoots. Single cam we are moving towards YoloLiv Yolobox mini, it provides everything we need and allows for remote attendance so our commentator can join the stream from any device. Yes there are graphics limitations but for 90% of our productions the coverage is important, not the fancy bits.
The ATEM can go live direct to your chosen platform or you can use OBS. Restream is also useful for multi platform delivery. We have done esports tournaments but there are many methods for this, there isn’t a cheap option if you want lots of video inputs (10 players = 10 player view + 10 webcam view + external event cams. We prefer an in game spectator view instead of trying to max out inputs, this keeps the setup manageable and gives you plenty of viewing options.
@@shannondowsing123 interesting! So does it output a virtual camera and you just take that input in OBS? I’ve used OBS studio and it’s just alot for one person to manage. So I’m trying to build out a broadcast set up with replays, graphic updates and switching sources without having to buy a tri caster or a Rolland board. I’ve been looking into wirecast but it’s so hard to find a place to ask super specific questions.
@@DegradeableOne In game spectator mode typically lets you jump between player views or choose ghost mode so you can freely navigate. We run this on a separate PC and duplicate the screen via HDMI into our switcher. We then have 2 x external cameras and graphics for a total of 4 inputs on a basic setup. This is for live of course, you can post produce and put replays in, or add a blackmagic shuttle HD or be supercheap and loop your own RUclips back into an input and find the replays on your own video. We are fortunate to have enough crew for multi cam events to not make it overwhelming but a well programmed streamdeck can solve all of the single user issues.
Hi! I do livestreaming here in Niue! Two years late to discovering your channel but great info regardless! Keen to get specs in your battery pack pls. Cheers in advance :)
Hotspot has several restrictions but some venues and locations provide little option. Importantly we have found older 4G phones have less consistent coverage and speeds. To combat this we prefer a dedicated wireless 4G broadband modem offering wired ethernet connectivity. This leaves the USB-C available for iso recording and has better/unlimited data plans. We use a good sized laptop power bank and a Blindspot 12v powerpipe (USB-C to barrel connector) to power it. We can power the Atem and modem for 5+ hours in this way. We also use Companion and H2R graphics a lot, having wired hotspot doesn’t provide easy connection of a laptop to the same network, making setup more difficult for control of both the atem and the graphics. We could probably do an updated video with a more comprehensive setup if you’re interested
If you are to cover up a soccer live event, then what equipment's will you use?... can you give me the specification of the camera so that the live featured is in high quality?
The link below is what we use this year. It’s not just for sports otherwise we would probably choose a high quality camcorder. This allows us to be more flexible and add high quality lenses for creative work while still having zoom control on the hand grip via Lanc control. ruclips.net/video/fYjxaAnlGDo/видео.html
If you add affiliate links to your equipment, you can generate additional income. Thanks for explaining the set up. Excellent.
Will take a look at the links. We have some awesome updates since this video so its even easier now, we probably need to do a new video.
