I made your biscuits today but half way through dropping them on the silicone mat I added 1/2 cup of Ham in small chunks, stirred that in and dropped the rest. WOW it was very good...These Biscuits Rock!!! So tonight it's Breakfast for Dinner. Eggs, Bacon and Ham & Cheese Biscuits ... TY for this channel
I've made these several times and they are delicious - couple of notes: these do not rise and do not spread so keep them high - don't press down much or else you'll have wafers. Bake them for the full time. I used BRM blanched extra fine Almond Flour one time, and another brand another time, and to tell you the truth, the other brand came out better. Last time I added a couple tablespoons of minced green onion and I never add salt as the sour cream and cheese have plenty of salt.
II made these again today - such a great recipe. I added 1/4 tsp. each garlic and onion powder, oregano and parsley flakes. I also used greek yogurt in place of sour cream just to shake things up and these turned out fantastic. They ARE light and fluffy and most closely resemble a wheat flour biscuit of any low carb biscuit recipe I've ever tried.
I have just worked out this week what a US biscuit is :) we call them scones down here in New Zealand so these are going to be a go to for my Family! Thanks for making things so easy
These look delicious! I think they would be a great bread for my Mexican stew! 🥂 I want you to know your suggestion about mixing Lakanto Monkfruit and Allulose together to prevent the crystals from forming in the jam worked beautifully. I can’t thank you enough! Now on to Jalapeño jam. You are the best. Now on to Amazon to order some of your cookbooks. Which one would be the best for someone just starting out with Keto? I want to give one to a friend that is just starting out.
Wow! My whole family loved these. Shocking, because they usually don't like my keto foods. I had all the ingredients on hand. Came together fast. I made 14 biscuits and baked mine for 16 minutes. Reminds me of Red Lobster's cheddar biscuits. I haven't eaten there in years. Thank you, Carolyn!
I made these "carnivore" by using 4oz of ground pork rinds in place of the flours. Not bad. I would say to increase to 1 Tablespoon garlic powder and add 1/2 Tablespoon onion powder in order to mask the pork rind flavor. This was also a good way to use up some sour cream that we had that was just starting to "turn".
I made these again with new baking powder, extra Tbsp of coconut flour, and cut back on my egg whites a wee bit. They turned out perfectly this time and raised nice and fluffy!!! These are amazing!! Thanks Carolyn!
I'm late to respond and I'm interested to know what brands of almond flour you use. I have used three brands: Bob's Red Mill, Blue Diamond, and Nature's Eats. They produce a dry, coarse crumb. I follow directions and don't tinker with recipes. Baked goods seem to have little or no distinct flavor.
These were so good!! It definitely isn’t the red lobster biscuit but it’s a close KETO second!! I will definitely be making these again. I used greek yogurt, and ask topped with parsley! Yummy!
***I never leave reviews….. this recipe is so good that I have no choice but to leave a review*** If you are on the fence and unsure of this.. if you think “it’s too good to be true”… do yourself a favor, and make this. You will not regret it. It will not dissappoint.
I love drop biscuits, especially when they look like the Red Lobster ones…but I didn’t love these. Like, at all. Too eggy for my liking. I’d never made them before so I didn’t know what they were like, but I brought them to my friends house and was quite embarrassed at how eggy they were. For some reason I was thinking that the yolk was what made a particular “bread” item eggy tasting…but it’s the egg white I guess. And I guess I should have known since it took so many eggs. I think I’ll try finding another less eggy recipe to try. Otherwise, no to the biscuits then.
It's not the eggs... it's your brand of coconut flour. Some are more absorbent than others. Sounds like you had one that was less so. They should be bread-y, not eggy at all.
First time trying these and starting my keto journey. Thank you so very much. They look and taste exactly as you show and describe. They are truly delicious.
i love this recipe. i clicked on the link to print it and when i tried to print it, it is 48 pages long. is there another way to print just the recipe?

Carolyn! Biscuits! I have been looking for a recipe. Why have i not checked you blog? 😲 I should be forced to eat a whole Death Cake by myself. 😃💪 ........................... 😎👍👍
Carolyn, I LOVE your recipes for the most part, but let me give a word to the wise on this particular recipe. The coconut flour used in this recipe ruined it for me and my (non-keto) family. NOT as advertised! It should be renamed "Keto COCONUT Cheesy biscuits!" And if you like coconut flavor in your biscuits, then this is the recipe for you! I have been trying out Keto recipes for a few years now for a family who does not have to rely on a Keto lifestyle besides myself, but I have been and want to cook/bake for everyone with this much healthier lifestyle. I am obsessed with eating "clean Keto" which means I spend A LOT of money on all organic and naturally based/raised ingredients, no seed oils or anything that isn't all natural. So when I'm tossing alway a whole sheet of "cheesy biscuits" because no one will eat them...well, it hurts a lot! :-( On a positive note, many of your recipes have been awesome, with the Coconut Cream Pie recipe being absolutely spectacular! Thank you for all that you do!
Made these tonight. Yummy!! 😋 😋 Added parsley & a little more garlic to half of the batter... Next time I think I'll add some Everything Bagel seasoning!
I just made these and they are delicious! Mine didn’t rise like Carolyn’s, but I will definitely be making them regularly. Perhaps next time they will puff up a bit. Great biscuit!
@@AllDayIDreamAboutFood Thank you Carolyn! I am buying another container of baking powder right now, and making these again. I used two of them for a hamburger bun last night and it was totally awesome!!
@n.w.414 I can't believe nobody responded to your question over the past year! Maybe you already found your answer elsewhere. Anyway, the conversion is to triple the amount when going from coconut to almond flour. So, this recipe would take 2 cups almond flour in total.
I made these this morning and my family loved them, thought they tasted like Red Lobster biscuits. I did put old bay in them and brush the top with butter instead of cheese on top. I scooped them out with a small ice cream scoop and they were light and fluffy. Thanks for the recipe.
I have GOT to try these. They look YUMMY !! They would go with anything that has a sauce. Slice them in half and add a sausage patty... Oh Baby ! Get my day started right.
It turned out so perfectly. The only thing I did not like was the smell and texture of the coconut flour. Also, I feel it makes the biscuits more dry. Thanks for the recipe again 🧡
I tried this recipe today. I used 4 whole eggs. All of the biscuits flattened and came together for one giant square. The flavor was very good. I added more garlic powder than you did. I also added onion powder, garlic salt, a pinch of black pepper, old bay seasoning and dried parsley. I will try the recipe again and add more almond flour

We have different types of biscuits. A southern fluffy biscuit with sausage & gravy on it is not a scone vs what a cheddar biscuit is.
These look delicious! And I just have to say, every time I watch one of your videos I think to myself, "Arm goals!"
I made these and did use 4 eggs but also added a tsp egg white powder and some ground cooked sausage. They came out fluffy and delicious!

I'm so incredibly impressed!!! I made them this morning and the only bad thing I've found is that it's difficult to stop eating them!!! THANK YOU!!!

I'll try this one, hopefully the coconut flour makes the almond flour more tolerable, I'm really tired of almond flour, everything tastes the same
I think you will enjoy them!
I'd say the other way round 😂 Almond flour is more savoury versatile where as coconut flour is not really 🤔 xx
Almond flour is pretty neutral, whereas, coconut flour has a distinct taste that you can't ignore! 😖
This recipe has five eggs, lots of butter and sour cream
And your point is????
Perfect timing! It's soup night here 😁 Thank you
Yummmmm these look delish. but then again everything you make is delish 🌻🌻🌻

making these for dinner, thanks. will they make dumplings. that would make me happy
What if you don’t have coconut flour on hand! Can I just use almond flour? If so how much?
2 cups total.
Biscuits & Baguettes are my biggest pre keto cravings - you may have solved 1/2 that for me! Now even a dirty Keto baguette would rock, recipe please!

Can the sour cream be replaced with cream cheese instead?

Been wanting to try these. Do they have a coconut flavor since it calls for coconut flour? Not a big fan of that in my savory baking attempts.

No... it usually means you don't have enough flour. Coconut flours vary a lot so try adding another 1 to 2 tbsp.
