I like how you usually just play through the game for the first time without worrying too much about the trophies - that's how it's supposed to be. Nice content again, cheers!
Yeah, I like to just play the game for fun first. Understand the gameplay and story before delving into trophies. I find it more enjoyable.
I really love that you can look at any part of the Forbidden Lands and see signs of a civilization that once lived there. It doesn't give you all the answers, but it gives you enough to prove that Dormin was a terror to these people, so much that they'd abandon their homes just to seal him away. And then you freed him... what a jerk....

A few years ago this game was played by a good friend of mine who went through a tough time! I couldn't get the feel for it back then.. Sadly soon after he passed away causing me to play this game and platinum it - connecting this game to memorable moments with him giving this game and him a special place in my heart now!

@@AdamMcDermott I remember you saying that you didn’t care for the game. Neither did I. Until my buddy talked to me about a video he watched on RUclips about a weird game. So I started it up on the PlayStation 4. Loved it. Didn’t put it down for 12 hours. Absolutely amazing. Btw how about sniper elite 4 platinum? Hitman? I platinum sniper elite 4 on PlayStation 4 and hitman absolution on PlayStation 3. Just some suggestions. ;-)
@@lucienfantke I won't be doing either of those games. My schedule is full, focusing on what interests me the most. Think it will make for a better episode.

I remember that Bioshock Infinite episode - has its charm - but like you said, night and day between that and Vice City or this episode.

Beautiful episode. I Platinumed this game about an hour ago and my first thought afterwards was to watch this. It was a great way to relive the experience through someone else's eyes. Can't believe you though the time trials were easy though - some of the hard ones drove me absolutely mad! Visiting the garden and crossing the bridge, looking back on everything was such a wonderful exeperience and the perfect way to finish the game

The legend has returned once again I personally liked this game myself when it was free back on ps plus last year can't wait for your bonus episode on God of War for Give me God of War mode.

I played SOTC on the ps2 back in the day. I happened to stumble upon ICO and was one of the few who got a copy of it before it got discontinued. When rumors of a ‘sequel’ began to emerge I was thrilled to see what they were going to come up with. It has to grow on you, like I think it did for you. At first, they slaying of colossuses is a chore. But as time passes, you start to feel for Wanderer, Agro and for the poor colossuses going about their business. The ‘loss’ of Agro has to be the first time I actually choked up by a game, and those are few(TLOU prologue is one of them). It still has a place in my heart for being one of the best games I’ve ever played, even though I haven’t platinumed it and probably never will. Thanks for this episode!

Yes!!!!!! Finally I love this game!! I remember thinking the speedrun would be so hard to do especially after playing it through on hard but it really isn’t once you know exactly how to get to the next colossus and the most efficient way to kill it, it’s not that bad at all

After seeing your Thoughts On this video I decided to pick up Shadow and give it a go. Absolutely loved it. Got every trophy except hard time trials (and kill using the queen sword) and hard speed run but got burnt out. Haven’t touched since, so this has gotten me back in the mood to finish that platinum. 🙌

I love how no matter who plays this game, that bridge... That bridge is that one moment where we all resonated together and felt the excact same thing... "Fuck you and your quest", this game is such a classic!
Gotta say, as I watch some of your videos I have now done my own completion journey, twice so far, and... I have to thank you, cuz I have found a new appreciation of games I didn't know wanted and needed, feels like I'm enjoying videogames for the first time all over again!

Wow, I got chills from the music. I played this once (PS3 version) and I always wanted to go back. But mostly the time trials turned me off. After watching your video, I now want to go back. 35 hours are ok, I thought, it would be more. That is why I love PLATINUM JOURNEY. I get entertainment and motivation out of it. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I appreciate your work.
The time trials can be tricky but aren't too bad. If I can do it, I'm sure you can too.

@@AdamMcDermott Update: I managed to get all of the Time Trials - except #3 on Hard. The thing with this is: in the PS3 version the timer is 5 minutes and not 6:30. And it is hard. There is no room for any mistakes. But I am determinded to get it eventually.

The game is a masterpiece and it's great to see a new player appreciate the tragedy of the story and the heart wrenching ending for the first time.
I first played it back in the day on PS2 and it's still as powerful today as ever.

This game is a classic example of why I platinum. Only barely enjoyed it on the first playthrough, but on the journey to platinum and multiple playthroughs it became one of my all time favourites

I try to do shorter videos like "Thoughts About" and other stuff, but Platinum Journey takes so much time and it is what I enjoy doing the most so I tend to focus on that. Thank you for your advice. I know you want the best for me.

One of the most beautiful games I've played.
The music around 11.00 is really pretty. :) This platinum was one of the last I got on ps4 before making the switch to ps5. It was a little stressful to get but I felt so happy to have a platinum for such a stunning game that really touched me.

Thanks. The time trials on hard can be tough, it went well for me. Also the grind to max health/stamina could take 3-4 hours. Other than that, a great trophy list.

It is so fascinating to see how Wander’s appearance changes as he is becoming more corrupted by the darkness and how him becoming the horned baby at the end started the line of horned children in Ico, and why they are cursed and sacrificed.

@@AdamMcDermott look closely at wander after every four colossi he kills, he becomes more disheveled, pale, and his hair darkens as the story goes on.
