I am a slow reader, when there's something dramatic that happened I can literally go back to the previous page and reread until it's engraved in my brain then I continue
From someone who reads a lot: don't feel discouraged if you don't like a book. It's totally fine to put it down and start another! Also I recommend: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, and The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón! Happy reading!
Here some book recs im obsessed with: -the selection series (got me into reading) -it ends with us Colleen Hoover (best book) -the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo
The invisible life of addie larue is literally so beautiful, i feel like you have to read it knowing that it will take time and brain cells out of you HAHA. It is a very complex book, it took me some time to get the pace. Also: I think you should read all the light we cannot see
some book recommendations for y'all cu I'm a huge book nerd: •The cruel prince trilogy by holly black •Shatter me series by tahereh mafi •The selection series •Percy Jackson series •The princess trials •From blood and ash series Throne of glass
The Selection series is great, especially the first three!! They are super quick & easy reads, I always re-read them when I'm in in a reading slump to help me get out of it
“And Then There We’re None” by Agatha Christie is the best book I’ve ever read, and I’ve read a lottt of books. (It’s a mystery book and make sure to read the epilogue for more twists)
i literally just read six of crows. like a few days ago. and the sequel. LOVED IT. definitely takes a bit to understand all the “language” and like terms of a whole new fantasy place, but a definite recommended read
i started six of crows and i reached page 18 but bc english isnt my first language i sometimes couldnt understand a lot of words and i put it down but i wanna read it so bad
i’m the same way with trying different hobbies and getting over them quick, and i’ve been obsessed with reading recently too! but idk im already a full on bookworm, this might not be one i get sick of :)
i’m so glad one of your hobbies is reading!! this is the one hobby you will do intensely and it’ll never leave you!! you may have breaks but you’ll never stop! so glad you enjoy reading too❤️loved the video x
English was literally what I excelled at in highschool and college, and I've always been such a slow reader. 1 hour would only get me through like 30 pages and I don't know why
You definitely don't have to read the Shadow and Bone trilogy before reading the Six of Crows duology,. I'm a huge reader and am really into fantasy and I liked the Six of Crows duology way better than the Shadow and Bone books! Also, I hope you don't move on from reading!
if you haven’t already i totally recommend starting a reading journal! you just pretty much write down the title, date you started and finished the book, author, rating, and your opinion of the book in a notebook so you can easily look back at all the books you’ve read!
The 6 of crows audio book is amazing! It’s one of my favorite audiobooks of all time and I highly recommend it. There are different voice actors for every character and it makes the book go by so much faster then reading it normally.
I’ve been loving your new videos so much I can’t even explain - I feel like you’re being yourself sooo much 🥺( not that you were hiding before) I know everyone has been saying this but it’s just because it’s so true!!! And thank you for fueling my book addiction again queen 💖💖
I just finished a book called after the fire and it’s one of my absolute favorite books. It’s a long book with a dark plot and heavy topics, but holy it’s so well written and I’m in love. It’s definitely not for everyone though-
I definitely recommend “The Kite Runner”, one of my favorites! Also, “The Cabin” is amazing, a little thrillery but not too scary (trust me cuz i hate horrors and thrillers). And as well an amazing book I recommend, very motivating and easy to read is “Peaceful Warrior” ,there is a movie as well. You should definitely see it/read it! And I would love to hear your feedback when/if you do☺️
I would recommend Sarah J Maas, ALL over booktok, and deserves the hype. HOWEVER, every series SHES written has at least 6 books. Very quick reads though:)
i wanna try this so bad!! genuinely enjoyed a video for the first time in a while on youtube and didn’t just play it mindlessly haha it was such a good video!!
1:49 It’s not false. You are meant to read the shadow and bone trilogy first to understand the background of what happened. Yes you can read Six of crows, you will just most likely complain about the world building not being there (Which you would have experienced in the first three books) or backstories not making sense. [No hate! I loved the video ❤️]
i do the same thing with picking up new hobbies for short but intense amounts of time. i believe it’s related to ADHD and it’s called hyperfixating or hyperfixation. your interests get really intense and then they peak and suddenly you have zero interest in it anymore. it happens with hobbies, consecutive eating of foods, socializing with certain people, etc. just a thought in case you or anyone else might feel crazy for doing this :)
I've literally wondered what this would be like. This reminds me of the time I had to do a book report and waited til the last possible minute and had to read the whole thing and do my project in one night. I never procrastinated on a book report again after that 😂
I know so many videos like this always giving a reviews from a-z but somehow reading books as a challenge is giving you “no thoughts head empty” mode. Sort of confusion of words, theme or overview of the book. You just giving me all that vibes 🤣
Why did this video motivate me to read . I’ve had a book for literally almost 6 months and I’ve only read eight pages but today is the day you gonna start it and read it again.
I actually agree with you on six of crows. It's a good book and I am currently in the process of reading it however, I find it to be a very slow read. Although I do enjoy it isn't necessarily a page turner throughout. Also we need a vocabulary list because, I keep forgetting those words.
i’m also an avid reader and i stopped reading the invisible life of addie larue about 50 percent in. it was sooooo slow and i couldn’t connect to any of the characters for the life of me.

Love the night circus!! Must have read it 3 times by now lol
Is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo a YA book? Or appropriate for a teen? Lol
@@maddenmckenzy3011 I read it as a teen and loved it! it is pretty heavy though so just a warning. also @Mary Julia, your taste is impeccable.
From Carlos Ruiz Zafón, who is a Spanish author I highly recommend The Mist Trilogy and Marina.
