I wanted to see how fast, slow, or average of a reader I was...so I put myself to the test by timing how many books I could read in a 24 hour time period! (and of course most of them are viral tik tok books because I get all my recommendations from there :)odol

No, you have to be a very fast reader. Reading a 400 page book in 3 and a half hours is very impressive, no matter how “easy” to read the book is!

The books I read are usually about 450-500 pages long and I take around 5 days so finish them, but after this video I feel really inspired to try to read more and faster. My screen time is an average of 5 hours per day and I’d like to spend at least half of that time reading, which I now have the motivation to do after watching this! I bought better than the movies a couple of months ago and I haven’t read it yet, but knowing how much you love it it’l definitely be my next read!

I read e-books too! I can’t buy hard copies ( like book in real life ) so I stick to e-books

Reading 400 page book in 3 and a half hour is really impressive, I'm so jealous of you. For me to finish 400 pages book I take like 6-7 hours. I wish it'd be so easy for me

I just hope this doesn’t incite people to start a competition/challenge; whatever… like who can read more. Reading shouldn’t be a race, it’s a personal nourishing journey and everyone has their own pace.

i 100% agree, i’m in school and we have reading logs. everytime we finish a book we have to record it, and there’s awards for most books read. i love to read and the teachers know that so theyre often shocked when only a handful of books are on my logs. just because i read slow doesn’t mean i don’t enjoy reading.
this was one of the first book videos i watched and inspired me to read the summer i turned pretty series (MY FIRST EVER SERIES I READ) it wasnt the best series in my opinion but i feel so lucky to find booktok because i always wanted to get into reading and it worked. in 2023, i want to be able to finish my books that i bought!

Same😂. What I do is I commit to watching just one video to motivate myself and I prepare the book next to me. And when I finish the video I start reading.

@@mariakara2419 I, personally, think that it is better than the movie, but I still love the movie SO much! The book just gives you those details that you didn’t even know you were missing. (This is my opinion for book vs. movie literally every time though, so is it valid?)

How this girl read the summer I turned pretty trilogy is exactly how I read it fast and in shock also better than the movies is the sweetest thing I’ve ever read and I found it and I was like I got a cute cover. I didn’t know about the hype on TikTok like right now. I read it two months ago got me back in reading.
