Hi Kevin I love your and johns videos
Thanks man definitely a keeper
John, you shoulda kept on the 70's pimp outfit!!! Loved it.. Great job, keep it up.
@@richarddeschamps5425 hahaha thanks man raided grandpa’s closet 🤣
@goldenrustorbust shit, john. Thats what i was wearing in the early 70's and platform shoe's. But hell, I was only 7!!!!
Your the only RUclipsr who replaced the bumper filler panels on one of those good job sir that caddie could be your power tour car definitely keep it very unique
I had a "77 Eldorado" I bought it from my aunt in 1981 for $500. It was Teal Blue with a silver landau top with black leather and Teal color keyed hub caps. It was pushing 85k mi. at the time. The car was powered by or should I say underpowered with a 425. Basically, it couldn't get out of its own way! The body was rust free and the filler panels were in good shape. Thinking about the rear filler panels, they all came with plastic chrome that started at the bottom of the horizontal portion of the bumper up around and over and ended at the gas plate door. The car had a hell of a goodie package including AM/FM/CB radio, factory alarm, auto locking doors when you put it in gear. Mechanically, I replaced both CV/half shafts and the soft close trunk motor. This would be the first of five Cadillacs for me. What an incredible road car!
The “epiphany” of a land yacht? The spirit of Norm Crosby lives on.
Yikes.
@@michaelpeterson3354 Mrs Malaprop.
You're living the boat life now, baby!!! We have a 73 Pontiac Bonneville with a 455. She's a big beautiful girl with 80,000 original miles! Congrats on your new youngling. Take of your beautiful wife! Love you guys!
Love these FWD Cadillacs . My grandfather had a 72 white on white black vinyl top. I can remember 4 adults 3 children riding comfortably id sit up front between grandfather and my uncle two ladies two girls in back. No drive line tunnel like riding on living room couch. 7 people comfortably riding down the highway. That baby rode so smooth.
The El Dorito
😂😂😂
Awesome find dude, very nice land yacht! Thanks for sharing your adventures with this classic!
THANK YOU for putting new filler panels in. Nothing bothers me more than seeing these old yachts with lake-sized gaps between the body and bumper.
As for the passenger side not fitting right in the front, having that corner meet a tree at around 5 MPH would probably solve all of your problems
😂😂😂
They definitely do "adjust"!😅
My 58 year old ass is late, but we have an upload from "RoboMulletCop". Love this kid, I really enjoy his uploads. Longer uploads are nice.
😂😂😂
Was waiting for a good car video to post. Thanks John! Also, always loved the old Cadillacs.
With videos like this, you are well on your way brother! Looking forward to more. 🙏🏻👍🏻
I love how prepared you are
What an amazing find. Beautiful.
Awesome work! Always funny seeing this dude on junkyard digs.
This episode was one of your finest. The editing has come a long way. That car is b-e-a-u-tiful.
My inner electrician has to make this comment. A switch is on or off but a sensor can give a range of units
Hey thank you for the information 😁
I really like seeing old iron put back on the road, back to work, or back to fun on your channel.
Good score. Be happy its not the 4-6-8 nightmare. Tint it out on airbags, and you'll be pimpin in style.
What a perfect Caddy. Love it!
That is a beautiful car.
What a Cadillac!! So glad your fixing on her. Always liked these year period, models. More videos, of this Cadillac please.
What a great car. Love the host hair cut too. Looks so 90's Beavis and Butt-Head. Very retro and cool.
Awesome. So fun to watch , after seeing all the work you did! Good to feel part of your journey.
Talk about a pump mobile 😂 looks good!
I meant pimp 🤦🏼♀️ but hey it probably eats gas too 😬
Hell Yeah John, love these 70's land yachts. 👌👍🤘🔥🔥🔥
"Let me pull it out for ya" 95 feet of car and 5 mins later...love it
😂😂
I love big old cars
First time watching you. You are very fun. I enjoyed it!
25:19 didn't know I was going to be seeing any CAKE today
Definitely power tour
Thanks for the video. Nice Caddy.
Usually when I watch videos of cool cars, that's where it ends. "That's cool". This is one of the very few times I've been in the terrible position of envy. What a great find.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
I had a 78 caddy eldorado with a 500, man the stories!
I wanted to comment after seeing you install the temp gage. If you ever install an oil gage in that car or any car in the future, do not, I repeat do not use the plastic line that comes with most gouges. Those lines melt and or break in the future and start pouring oil fast and with lock up engine before you have a chance to save it. Instead buy the same size metal line and never worry about it again..
Hey thanks for all the advice 👍😁
Commercials every 4:00 of content... greeeeeedy!
I let RUclips control the midroles I’m sorry it came across that way
Beautiful car!! That thing really does shine
I was just in that neck of the woods while you were up there. Had my 1971 Starcraft Pop-up out camping.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!❤

This is f***in' great!
Cheers from Bavaria.

Lots to learn my man and you have a good start, no other way to do it, take it from a man who has been turning wrenches for 60 years.

The video was great! Your channel is one that has videos I can click "like" on before I watch them. You have fun, which makes them fun to watch.

Awesome to see you were able to drive it home! I’m glad I was able to help you keep her running, thanks for the shoutout!
Hahah thanks for all of the help 😎
great job good find🤟
Now i know why my grandpa wanted one. Just glide down the road....
Goodness, she's stinkin gorgeous!
My dad always had wine taste with a beer budget when it came to cars growing up so we always had some old Caddy or Lincoln in the driveway.
I learned how to drive on an 85 Fleetwood 4 door, took my driving test on a Toyota Echo... Nailed it 🤘
Love me them Cadillacs!
hi mate im from england and this is my favorite cadillac...i would silicone all the gaps in the fender fillers and paint them the same colour as the car...it would look a lot better...all the best from UK
Good on you man. Nice car.
Sweet it's in great shape 👌🙏♥️😎
Definitely a beautiful car man
Dude, love the dad shoes.
Look at the room you have by the firewall! Wow
This is awesome
Great job on the video definitely like the road trips
good job ....nice car....
FWD?
Well why Not?
Nice survivor🎉
I almost feel like it would be nicer / easier (probably most definitely NOT easier) to just shave back those silly 5mph bumper extension nonsense things the government forced auto makers to put on vehicles back in the 70s.. I think the fillers look nice - way better than a giant gap, but man.. it would look pretty sweet shaved back to to actual body front and back, slim those bumpers down and get it to the car.. SEMA mode engaged! Haha I'm must teasing though, but this is one of those jobs it's nice to have an old timer around because they dealt with all this crap back in the day, maybe they have some tips for lining things up.. either way what a score on that Eldog, beaute of a car!!
The transmission and front wheel drive line is the same as the Oldsmobile tornado. Its essentially a modified Turbo-400 and very sturdy.
😂 Every time I see you on a channel I always remember the traffic cone. i have been calling you Cone Head every since😂😂.
I didnt know you had a channel though, so I'm glad I came across this video and glad to subscribe here as well.
Good to see you again. Cool car. Your work looks just fine (I ain't no mechanic!) and happy to see you got new windshield wipers :) You're a cool dude and I'll be looking for you again soon.
Nice car and congrats on the little one man
what a sweet ride hope to see more stuff brother glad i found you with help of kevin and mook
Nice work man. Great content and enthusiasm.
Sweet deal. I live in Duluth, fun to see you in my neck of the woods!
A ❤classic El Dorardo.
Pimp daddy caddy!! Get it big boy!!
dont beat yourself up those body fillers look great, once you get them painted to match then you'll be proud of yourself. Good job that car is a one of a kind. love it.
Such a Beauty
Love them full size caddies. Don’t knock em till you drive one
Great vid btw
My dad had a 73 convertible he had to take this workbench out garage just fit it in I love the pants and the look
im here for the revive and drive.
Great work, you may have to join the owners club to get info on good aftermarket filler panels. Love the Coors hat too. Bravo
I have a 72 Eldorado convertible. My baby. Welcome to the club. Stay pimpin.
The fact that you didn't use foam for the bumper fillers, almost killed Dalton, you know that right? 😂 Looks good man, love to see some content from ya.
Great video
Nice Beast! I've got a 68 Deville. Awesome car, I get offers to buy it every day!
Oh John...what the hell would we do without you brother... you definitely know how to make a brother spit his beer out and shit his pants all at once! Keep it up man, and have a beer about it.
Some pretty good jams for royalty free music.
Great job and great car great job john 🎉😊
You do good work work
i like the look how it came out with the black fillers
That bumper probably has shocks in it. Meaning it would be no problem to pull it back out into place who could do a tree and back up shine it to a tree and back up Those bumpers can be easily adjusted, especially if the shocks are shot.
What a GREAT FIND Those body fills are a pain fore sure Maybe when you get them painted the body man can fit them better. I've had a couple of these over the years and coupe devilles. you have the 425(501) engine in her. It doesn't like to run when its cold-You have to set the Choke-Spring 2 notches to the rich side (towards the firewall) that's what they like You should only need 1 pump cold start I noticed the old guy ( orig owner) has the headlights all out of wack. I adjust mine so it fits the contours of the headlight surrounds. That usually works. She is a great car You will get many miles-years out of her . ENJOY Cheers from Calgary
Thanks for the advice 😁
Epitome.... (Y)
Nice car dude.
Sweet Ride. Wish you luck, especially trying to find a fuel tank for it. She's a keeper. That's the car you should drive your newborn home in for memories sake.
