Now that, is how you start a RUclips video 😂🤘
So when is Mook going to be hiding in the engine bay of your F100? We've already experienced a "Mook in the Box" a year or so ago 🤣
I loved your "Mooks of Hazard" comment yesterday. LMFAO 🤣🤣
Kevin, i would disagree. He's copied you, Mook and especially Derek from VGG. Seriously, did he have to taste the oil and refer to the clickety-clack fuel pump? Dude needs to be original.
HELL YEA!!! LETS GO!! Welcome Mrs. Bust . You guys could do a series together on this thing. That would be awesome.
Im new to this channel came from junkyard digs love it here and I hope grandpa is in more videos he is my favorite 😊
You should do a series of your fiance learning new skills. The oil change was a start, maybe a carb rebuild or similar for the future? Let her decide what skills she wants to learn then video the process. Keep those wrenches turning (the proper direction!)
Thanks for the idea!
I could listen to your grandpa all day. Would it be possible to have an episode of him telling stories of cars or just anything in general! You do a great job John. Keep up the good work .
Maybe a live show
@@goldenrustorbust Grandpa's the best!
Definitely do a live stream with your grandpa!
"Am I going to end up dying working with you?" "Uh, No. Well, chances are slim.. well, I don't know." I like how the confidence tapered off the more he thought about it. 😄 You also have to take into account that I've seen this man sleep tipsy on top of a schoolbus with no railing and ride a booger-welded half-lawnmower-half-moped around on his stomach at top speed. His danger meter might need some calibration.
Looks like you got TWO keepers there!
Good job on both of them.
Great to see grandpa again. Awesome way to introduce the fiance! I'm thinking keep it and show her how to own and drive a carburetor vehicle. Stupid easy truck to work on, perfect for her to learn on.
Great episode john, that drive in is 5 min from my house. Would be cool to see you and your girl keep working on this one.
Aww the “are you okay??” of Megan when it backfired was so sweet she looked so worried
Please keep this 1979 F100 for a series, and for yourself.
Great Truck!
You know I enjoy your videos not just because of the vehicles but it's you (and your friends and family!!). Your a genuine soul that I know if I met you I would like you. I think that's something about the videos and channel we all choose. If we feel like we're watching a friend then we're enjoying it more than if someone is trying too hard to be something else. 😊
.
This is my favorite comment on this video thank you so much 😊
78 and 79 Ford's are my all time favorite trucks.
My grandpa had a truck just like this one, pretty sure it was the same year. Seeing the inside of that truck brought back lots of memories! Thank you John and keep up the good work!
I really like the old FO D! We had one just like it back in the 80's when I was a teenager. Same lettering on the hood too!😂😂
That was the first truck I remember my dad having. I still believe it was bulletproof.
Hats off to Meg for getting involved in the oil change 👍
Great Video Yeah I know late on commenting 😄 so good to see your grandpa he's so cool and Megan is a great addition to the channel she seems like she wants to learn and that's Awesome, I hope you continue fixing the old Ford up, Take care my Friend.
Thank you for the comment and god bless😊
Glad to see more content and the usual fun that goes with the build with friends and family. I dig your new way of time lapse and music and see putting effort in the editing studio is paying off.
That motor actually sounds really good.
My second revival ever was my ‘79 F100 that I bought for $600 bucks three years ago today, so it’s great to pretty much go through the experience of bringing it back to life again through this. Still driving it nearly every other day, actually typing this as I sit in it.
That’s awesome
Advice from your Gramps is priceless!
Congratulations! May you two be very happy together!
Pretty amazing what a bottle of Maguire's (or similar) and a little elbow grease can do to old paint!
The 5.0 302 v8 is my favorite engine. In 1986 I bought a 1982 or 1983 Ford Mustang GT with a four speed manual stick shift, and that car was a lot of fun! I like the 1970 Ford F100. One of these days I’ll find one and have it restored. I’ve got the same blue STP oil filter on my truck.
My uncle bought the 83 capri which was the same only with a bubble hatchback, 302 boss and I think was 5 spd that was a fast machine !
I love seeing young people getting older stuff running again 😊 thanks for the show guys
I always enjoy seeing grandpa! Meg is a good sport! Best new automotive content by a couple since Kevvie and Mook!
Always love seeing Grandpa he always has amazing stories John 12:48
Welcome back John!
Gramps has the wisdom. Listen at him talk. You a lucky guy to still have him around. Good find on the ford.
Please take the time to preserve and listen to as many as your grandfathers story’s and knowledge on the channel as you can. Love it. Keep up the good work
John looks so tiny sitting in the driver Seat lol 😂 runs and drives pretty well 11:49
Would love to see more on this old rig your fiance seems to love it
Very nice editing on the truck wash John 16:10 😮 @Golden Rust Or Bust
Watching this made me miss my Grandpa. Spend as much time as you can with him and don't take 1 moment for granted
Those Dentside Fords are my favorite trucks. We've owned many of them over the years. They are good lookin and tough as hell. For 800 bucks you got a pretty good buy on it. Make a nice project
I want to see another episode of that truck.
I like the grandpa so much.... take care and god bless
Lol at the intro getting towed home by a gmc going to pickup a Ford love the new intro John 1:07
That truck has so much potential. She shined up pretty well. Some of the rust isn’t going away but she still can be a nice truck. She’s a straight unit.
On a side note, do you have to put the microphone on the dog?
Megan seems like a very nice young lady, congratulations John, you found a keeper. God Bless
Lol sorry she ate my microphone I don’t know what to do about that 😂
Paint the wheels and the back bumper white. I love this truck. Keep fixing her up.
Welcome back!!! Your girl is awesome and when she popped out from under the hood haha!! Totally got me. Loved the video and the truck, the videos with grandpa are great, very wise man. I wouldn’t mind a series on this truck.
I love that your first trip in the truck was to the drive-in to see Ghostbusters!
Good times with grandpa awesome!!
Hi Jon and Meg, love the video, the truck runs great, your grandad is a legend, always look forward to your content.
Would love to see the truck restored, with the help of grandad, and you both.
Love to watch alot of you tube vidz, like junk yard digs, sleeperdude, pudding fab, and vice grip, after a hard day's work here in good old plymouth England , is to come home and chill and watch you all bring back life into those rare old cars , and see the back on the road.
Kevin said to come watch this video, I'd say I enjoyed the extra video tonight!!
Thanks for coming
i got the same one with a 351 in it. lately ive been letting it sit after the carburetor and fuel pump went bad. you guys are getting me motivated to go out there and get it back on the road again. thanks for sharing.
Love the drive ins, none up here in Alaska anymore, doesn't really get dark enough in the summer.
Dang sun always being out 😂
Megan seems fun. Good to see her participating
Don't let it go she has great bones and would make a nice little tire burner. Hint hints zip tie drags would be awesome content ☺
Cool ole truck! Cool to see Grandpa in the actuon too. Nice save!
Polishing coming out nice
Dang it !! The radio is missing !! Most important part !! Love your videos !! Keep them coming please !!
I love watching u guys work on the old dentsides. It makes me want to go work on mine
Hey John Haven't seen you for awhile hope everything is good with you.
She's a little crusty but not bad for a Scott County truck. (Quad Cities is home for me, my dad bought a '79 F150 new and it was a lot rustier by the time we parted with it over 20 years ago.) Might be worth some repair panels.
I love those 78-79 ford's pickups. Good video
.
Drive in movie would be fun with this old rig 28:25
Yes yes yes another golden rust or bust. I needed this video man. Always a pleasure to see you man
Heck yeah, keep this one going man, love it
Brings back memories of my gray one with a 300 six banger
Would love to see an exhaust some rims and some tint on this rig, would be sick. Also, what an easy revival !!!
Would like to see more repairs and upgrades if you keep the truck. I have a 78 Bronco that needs repair, battery not charging, brakes barely work, no stop lights, but running lights work, horn only works if jumped to +. It has a 400 with C6 4x4. Thanks for sharing the video, and look forward to another from this series if you keep it. 🍻
Awesome Bust episode! Glad you got Megan involved with it. I had a 79 just like that back when I was 14 years old. I’d be interested in that one once you decide what your going to do with it! Thanks John!!
i would love a grill off one of those to mount on the wall ,wire the lights up and display some model cars in the middle bit , you 'd get 24 in there and have a nice back light shining through .
As Josh hyperventilates he says I'm fine😀
Good to see ya with an ol Ford, looks solid except the Shaganappie floor pans, LOL. Your Girl likes it, so Keep Her!
I miss the drive in movie theaters around me
Can't believe how it polished out.
lol innuendo central lol. 'Shag. Big hole. Get your finger out of the hole' lol Love it :-)
That rig really cleaned up.
I really liked this one, you two are entertaining to watch.
I had one like that I drove for years, it had an explorer pkg with hood ornament, plaid seats, stripes etc 302 C6 auto was a dependable rig
My dad had a truck like that. Would love to see you keep it and do a serirs on fixing it up.
Excellent video John :) , Megan :) also truck be excellent fix up and get 10w30 engine oil no synthetic type plus run 89 octane gas with 5 % Ethonal or 90 higher octane gas no Ethonal gas to and new spark plugs plus wires even cap and rotor ! Rebuilt carb too plus new fuel filter to also air filter too! Emergency brake lube on plus cables too!
I would love to see a series on the truck that truck deserves to be restored in my opinion.
I want to officially welcome Mrs Bust to the channel i hope she will be involved more often.
I really enjoyed having your grandpa involved in the video he is very knowledgeable and can teach people some of the old school tips and tricks that people don't use anymore.
Great video! It's cool to see you upgraded from motorcycle to car!
I have a 1978 Ford F-150 and it is planned to be my first truck when I get my license.
Sticking hood hinges causing hoods to fold were mostly a GM problem. The way Ford's hoods were formed made them resistant to bending.
Excellent episode guys!!
Since your bed is toast, it's perfect to shorten down to a short bed. Cut your frame and shorten it as well. Then get rid of grandpa's running boards. It would look good with a set of custom wheels and tires. Then for that 302, do a top end rebuild. And Edelbrock Performer 302 four barrel manifold, four barrel carb, and new cam would be good. A nice set of chrome valve covers would be good. Put a set of long tube headers on it with Flowmaster exhaust. So on and, so forth....
I like the sound of that
I'm rebuilding a '65 Mustang right now, myself.
Cool, thanks
Thanks for the video.
Enjoyed vid man. You're a great guy and Megan is nice as well. Looking forward to seeing more stuff man!
Awesome thank you for the comment hopefully I can get more content out soon😁
Good.job. cool Ford. F100 😄👍👍👏👏👏
Your grand father is about the only one I've ever seen that knows exactly how. To use the old tire machine too !!!!!
Check that change might have some gems in there 👍
Bold move putting cherry snow cone syrup in the trans!
It likes cherry 🍒
Fix it up! I love those old Fords and it makes for a great video!
Great episode did expect the Mrs to be under the bonnet pissa
Keep up the good work
Dog panting is awsome.😂😂
You guys make a great team keep up the great content.
Nice save bro, keep those old rigs rolling. They literally don’t build em like that anymore.
Great looking truck ! Needs a 460 swap and the big C6 !
I'm half tempted to say that if you sell it I might want to buy it, my first car was a 79 f250 love the look they have
Junkyard digs sent me I was watching his Mustang to video and I kind of resonated with you. I also have a 1978 mustang 2 with a 302 V8 and C4 transmission that’s been on blocks since 2017. 😂
I watch alot of different channels all car stuff that's what I do for living and I build some hot street cars to anyway you have a good show. Keep it up I like that you do alot of different stuff the old chain saw was awsome too !!!!
Good job guys
She's rare bro deff a keeper your gurl well truck to lol 😅😅 awesome video
Genuinely shocked at how well that shined up for what it is!
Dude, I love that Bantam excavator in the background. I broke out on one just like that in 1974
