    Also, protein helps build muscle. More muscle means more calories burned. More calories burned means more caloric deficit. More deficit means more weight loss!

      Fermentum Mobile true but it’s scientifically proven taking protein powder will stop you burning muscle when working out to loose weight. Unless you starve yourself obviously. I am eating 2 thousand calories a day and taking protein and I have lost a lot of weight and gained a little muscle. People who don’t take protein and eat like that will lose muscle as well as fat.

    *I Weighed 310 at my highest and 190 and my lowest (lost 120lbs! within 6 months) I had saggy bingo arms tho they werent even bad, **weightlose.fitness** i just lacked muscle and didnt work out. and could easily be toned by working out, which i have been doing and ive seen great results quick. I do have a lil extra pudge on my stomach and plenty of stretchmarks which have faded. Strength training is the best way to go for faster results, better results, and you'll love going to the gym more than if you were to do cardio alone. Do not worry about sagging skin - deal with it when you get there because you'll be way happier at your goal weight with some extra skin compared to where you begin!*

    The taste of isopure powders is dependent on the flavor you choose. I find the banana mixed with the green apple to be very pleasant tasting. Also keep in mind the colder the water the better the taste, this goes for many protein powders. Some proteins just taste horrible no matter what you do.

    I do muscle milk powder 1 scoop with my 1% milk and fruits in a blend to replace 1 meal then eat a salad for dinner with a meat and broccoli been working for me so far so good :)

    Even if something tastes bad - its really the quality that will make a difference. Usually, there too much in the whey to make it taste good and this lowers the quality of the product. I don't want to get used to tasting something that I should not eat if I were eating the real deal. Casein digests slow so it may keep you from eating otherwise.

    You can be in a caloric deficit without decreasing either fat or carbs as long as you are in a deficit

    are'nt some protein shakes great as a meal replacement when your living a busy lifestyle? as in not to depend on them but to use them sparingly when you just need a quick meal when your on the go?

    I send this video to a lot of my friends. I'm in the army and had to lose 100 lbs to join. For me as far as work out I love to run (I suck at it) but I can do it for a long time and push myself.
    I love lean one meal replacement shakes. I agree you gotta workout and stuff to lose fat but I love lean one. Taste is decent and think most can benefit from it. Now you won't get buff because I'm always trying to keep lean.
    What do you guys think of lean one?

    the champion one from Costco is pretty good. it's 140cals per portion of 35g, a 100 of which is from protein and it's tastes like an Oreo McFlurry when mixed with half a cup of soy milk.

    I drink isopure vanilla, w/ 12 oz of milk, 1 banana, 2 tablespoons of pb, mix and then over ice. It's awesome.

    Hay dude, huge huge fan!! I'm following your weight loss story because I look and weigh exactly the same as you did when your started your journey. I'm also intermediate fasting between 12-10 because it really works well for me. I'm lifting in the mornings before work and cardio after work. I want to take protein to help maintain the muscle I currently have. Since you consider protein as food, do you take it past 12 or with your morning workout? It would help me a lot if you replied.

    I’m looking for protein powder that makes me feel like I’m strong and so I don’t feel week and feel as if I am throwing up in the weight room I’m 14 any suggestions?     Soooo I'm 15 years old 175 cm tall and weigh 90KG,that's right at the border between overweight and obesity. Now my target weight is 70KG. Should I use proteins to maybe make things more consistent and avoid contact with normal food? I'm quite the lazy fuck honestly and food is my middle name, so anything that would help me make things easier and more efficient would be great.

      Arber Esati if you wanna lose weight you need to become physically active and be in a caloric deficit. The job of these supplements are to provide you with a clean intake of macros.

      Ahmed Elnagdy exactly the type of answer that doesn't fit me rn... I'm already start to enter a caloric deficit, and after about 2-3 months i should get a bike. Right now I'm in a situation i can't really attend the gym and running every day is a big no no for me since I just don't like it. I guess I'll stick to tracking calories for now. I've got the whole summer in front of me and i guess if i work extensively and without cut outs i should at least shed off about 15 kg. Thanks anyways

    My fitness journey, short and sweet, is I have wasted my life being fat way too long, had the best personal trainer in the world, he got me down 55 lbs in 1 year with him, but i guess i dont feel im worth it or what but i get to feeling down and depressed and don't want to do anything. It sucks, and i am tired of it!

    okay I deliver furniture all day I go in at 7 sometime I don't get off until eight nine o'clock at night but don't eat good through the day cuz I'm constantly moving and working and burning calories so what's a good suggestion because I need to lose some weight you would think I'll be losing weight by moving furniture all day but I'm still 314 pounds

    cheapest one in terms of grams of protein per penny I've found is the 5 pound Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard on Amazon. Lasted me like 2 months.

      PITBULLS ARE AWESOME only one meal should be replaced by protein not multiple meals always eat clean good wholesome food then use protein as a second option

    1g per lean body weight is too much in my opinion. When the body doesn't need more protein then it will spike insulin and when that's spiked you can't lose weight. I recommend .8 per lean body mass.

    Boys is it realy that important to take 1g per kg bodyweight cuz i cant do that tbh. I live in sweden n the prices are through the roof and 1g per kg is reallyyyy pricey. Does maybe 30g per day work?

    I started my lifestyle change 4 months ago and I don't think I understand what you mean when you say caloric deficit? can you help me to understand how that works???? I do drink protein from time to time for breakfast or lunch 1 or two scoops I've lost 20 or more pounds. I workout 3 or more times a week for an 1 hour to 2 hours a day. for some reason I think I should be losing more weight but it could be what I'm eating....idk.

    I personally use both whey isolate and casein. Casein shake right before bed. I do .7g of protein per pound of bodyweight. So right now I'm at around 160 grams per day.

    PLEASE REPLY ... ive joined the gym and cut my calories off after a few months of working out ive lost alot of weight all my co workers say so too since i cut my calories i feel tired thru out the day maybe not enough protein i bought the "GOLD STANDARD 100% WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE" and i want to use it for breakfeast as a meal replacement im scared if i use it im going to gain weight will it ? i lost some weight and im scared all my progress at the gym is going to be for nothing if this whey protein makes me gain it all back please reply big fan thanks

      B yourself as long as you're taking in the same amount of calories or macros you should be fine

      Use the whey protein isolate in water after your workout... Go to gym and workout for 5 days a week... then you're not going to increase your weight..

      B yourself add green smoothies that contain lots of spinach I like to add on mines fresh broccolis lots of spinach and light fruits like strawberries 🍓 blueberries apples 🍎 kiwis 🥝 and believe me this will give you tons of natural energy all day without having to add more calories to your diet

    Please help, I wanna lose weight n I bought a whey protein powder. This one is more cheaper and taste is really better . I had pure isolate it tastes bad n couldn’t take it regularly to increase my protein. Is whey protein makes me fat ? Plz answer . Also the macro for my protein per serving is 1.2g fat , 0.8g sugar and 1.4g carb. 19g protein.
    I am so scare if it is gain me weight as my goal is weight loss.
    Also I take a bar protein daily . Is it make me gain weight? Plz answer. Thanks

      +FatToFit (MSFitness) absolutely, youd be surprised however at how many people cannot make themselves eat 200g+ of meat. As a guy who is always hungry I have no problem with it, but i do like to mix some up with oatmeal or yogurt as a treat. ;)

      +Adam Erin Im going to reply to you here Adam, because your google settings do not allow me to reply to your other comment. Of course eating healthy fats is what you want to eat. However when having to decrease something you need to be decreasing fat and carbs while keeping protein high.

      Yea I like to use my protein powders as a treat. Gets rid of chocolate cravings. Put it in my oats and greek yogurt ^_^. Need something that tastes decent.

      Kat Gnz You can add fruits and milk to it if you want to maximize the drink, but it's primarily just used to supplement your daily protein intake. And if you add solids you'd have to break out the blender every time, so it kind of detracts from the convenience of the shake x) but really, you should do whatever makes you want to consume it to meet your macro goals :)

      MusclePharm Combat protein powder. Runs for like 27 bones and it usually has about 35 servings a day i believe.

      Greyhound I know this is old but I prefer Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein (can get it on amazon and the double chocolate one is amazing) I used to use musclepharm's power but it's about the same price per pound, less per scoop so it lasts longer, and it blends into either milk or water flawlessly.

    i agree with cutting carbs, but cutting fat will not make you loose weight, fats will help you loose weight

      ***** umm you went low carb and low fat? that is lucky it didn't kill you, when you take one macro nutrient out you have to replace it your body either runs on carbs or fat, you have up one if you drop the other.. you are partly right, low carb works because when you drop carbs your body starts producing ketone bodies, the more fat you eat the more ketone bodies are made by the liver those ketone bodies then start to use stored body fat as fuel for the body and turns those into atp energy so this is why fat encourages weight loss

      ***** umm intermediate fasting works because your body goes into starvation mode and while in a state of ketosis it has to have fuel so it goes to one source your stored fat, but it is dangerous for long periods because it can also deplete muscle mass so i would be very careful, there are benefits to intermediate fasting of course i wont deny that

    Im on 200 grams of protein and im having a hard time getting it through meats. Is it ok if i get 150 grams through whey protein and the other 50 grams through meats?

      Yes, 50 grams of protein from meat is the exact same as 50 grams of protein from powder. So you can drink 150 grams of protein and also get the rest of your protein needs with meat

    Hey Ben! Quick clarification on the adequate protein - "1g per bodyweight" : I'm assuming bodyweight is in kg's since you used grams, but did you mean 1g per pound of bodyweight? Cheers

      Super simple. You weigh 200 lbs. you do 200grams. You weight 250lbs, you do 250grams.

      Thanks. We do body weight in kilos down in oz so would result in me halving the protien target if i didn't use my weight in pounds. Cheers

      +Fat Meets Fire yep can do the math ;) Just in the vid you said only bodyweight - didn't specify kilos or lbs. In short, I'm not eating enough protein! Have been using MyFitnessPal to determine what I should be having and it's saying only 75grams of protein for my weight as a daily target to lose 1kg a week. Should be 244g of protein as a target..

      Yup. Very few people eat the adequate amount. And people know I'm American haha. So we do that whole lbs thang ^_^. Decrease those carbs and raise that protein! Mfp is just a computer. It does not follow the best ways.
