It has been sitting for a while and I haven’t gotten a chance to get a new battery to test it out. This car currently has a recall, I believe for the same defects you mentioned about the leaks. The dealership here in my area is going to take care of it. I’m really trying to make a final decision about the car. It looks well maintained but definitely need more research and a test drive.

Check the ID plate under the hood to see which engine it is because the N51 IS NOT THE SAME AS THE N52 the N51 is the SULEV Check to see if the extended warranty is available because the OEM parts are 3-4 times more expensive than the N52

Please help I have a 2009 328i and I have a problem that is driving me crazy when I go for the second revolution it gives a little knock and I don't think it comes from the transmission because when I’m turning it doesn’t do it
@@SamuelAmankwah-s5g mine says that too on my 2009 328i my acceleration seems to be dimmed down mostly won’t kick in until i hit about 35-40mph and then when im going 80-100mph the engine kicks back or slows me down
interiour is another one, on my right side, the handle is slightly melted and it leaves black marks on your hand, something else to look out for since the interior is mostly plastic

I got a good deal on it bc the vts solenoids were causing a high pitch squel and it has a slight exhaust leak but I’m fixing both this week and driving the car the way I bought it has still been amazing this awd car is super quick and handles better than I ever imagined. It’s a tank. My only complaint is the narrow seats that everything falls in between and is hard to get out and the console sucks they could’ve done way better on the interior but overall this is one of my favorite cars and I love driving it. It’s a beast

Here is a good one for you, what the problem looks like is......water is dripping onto the middle of the backseat rug, passenger side. but there is nothing dripping from the ceiling the door and window are closing correctly. another way to see it is. Water is collecting in that spot.....I cannot find it WTF

Don’t forget the Starter as well mine just went bad got a new one think I got some leaks cuz my service light popped up and it’s @108 did my gaskets and some major repairs couldn’t recall really but that was @75-85k miles around there now @108k so let’s see lmao
I am considering buying a 2009 328i 6 speed manual with 130k on motor from a good friend who dad brought new. He has maintained the car very well. He replaced the oil housing gasket. $2500. around 65k miles. It is fine now. Was your leak the same one you fixed at 75k? If so, that is bad.
@@captainmorgan5449no wasn’t bad but just recently had to replace it this year again , so just know older BMWs always have their fair share of problems , and @75k-85k miles I replaced oil housing gaskets , water pump and now recently replaced radiator and going to do vaulvetronic gaskets I think that’s how u spell it and now @123k miles and had to do a proper coolant system flush entirely because oil got into the coolant cuz of oil gasket leak , so yea I believe you’ll be fine just be aware of , BMWs are great cars just will run into your fair share

I told him to teach me how to do stuff. My Saab 9-3 with the Saab H Motor (Not Gm's Ecotec) was very reliable. In 400 hundred thousand miles I spent about $3,000. That was at the end of it's lifetime as things wore out. The Saab turbo was a fun car to drive...very spirited. Never owned or driven a Bimmer, but everyone says they drive great.
Oh, I ask because I would really like a trouble free vehicle. My wrench turning days are long over. I just want a half descent deoendable ride. Plus, I personally could NEVER aford taking the car to the dealer. That is an imposibility for me. Im basically poor my man, so throw me your very best wisdom por favor.

it's definitely NOT a "high-end" sports car. It's far from it lol, I think of it as a more fun-to-drive alternative to the competition. It's just a "sporty" sedan, not a full on sports car

But yesss I would 1000 percent recommend a 328i it’s really reliable and fun it’s not the fastest either but it’s fun to to use manual on automatic and downshift abd stuff abd the maintenance is pretty easy oil changes , maybe spark plugs and coil packs and yess it would be a good first car , it’s my first bmw and I’ll never sell it ever , my car was 7500 cash and it’s pretty reliable, I’ve spent 3k over the last 3 years and I brought runflat tires and coolant hoses , a new maf sensor , I did the valve cover, new battery, new alternator, new rims and insurance will be kinda high maybe ,, I was 20 and had no accident or tickets and my insurance was 512 dollars the first month which was crazy !!!!

Ford's 3.5 v6 has a water pump run internally so you have to take apart the engine to replace it. thus making a few hundred dollar fix now over 2k in repairs. pretty scummy but it's what we have to deal with

DUDES... My 2011 328i, bought 10 years old last year with 30,000 miles---interior absolute junk. Passenger doors inside door pull rubber coating has turned to gum that sticks to your hands. The fake leather seats feel like crap and the rear door panel, unsnapping from the door. Cheap junk warped brake rotors, from the day I bought it---NO, I was NOT cooking the brakes. 30,000 miles, typical BMW head cover oil leaks, TWICE FIXED under used car warranty, NO EXCUSE. I was sure buying it with 30,000 miles, it would be good to go for a few years---HOW WRONG I WAS. IF YOU WANT TO DRIVE A BMW, LEASE IT, AND THEN GIVE IT BACK. My 2001 Porsche Boxster S (104k miles) has no such interior failings. FORGET BMW, buy PORSCHE, whatever you can afford THAT HAS BEEN taken care of. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT AND YOU WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.

Toyota doesn’t have problems lol they have one problem they last soo long that their odometer but I will take over all this problems that you mentioned.
Infinity is garbage, just like Nissan (they're just a luxury brand of Nissan). Problems with transmissions blowing, engine blowing, usually of poor quality all around. Every time I go onto marketplace or Kijiji I see dozens of these Infinity G series cars constantly with a blown something. Nissan and reliability do not belong in the same sentence, absolute garbage cars and brand.

BMW's don't hold their value because of the stigma around them, but every car leaks oil at some point and that is a fact. Rather have a easy oil leak like valve covers than a whole transmission blowing like Infinity and Nissan does almost like clockwork.

I have two. Both manual. One and one rwd. They've been really reliable. Straight sixes are easy to work on. I do all the maintenance and fixes.
Another problem is the heat and air condition fan under the dashboard. But it's easy to fix. Keep going brother your are in right way.
Use Pennzoil ultra platinum euro 5w40. My lifters don't tick anymore. Great oil.

is an E90 or E 92? Or if i have an n52 engine? 😮
Check on underside of the hood it will say n51 sulev. Or n52. E90 is a sedan e92 is a coupe e93 is a convertible.

My friend bmw had and oil leak at 40000 miles these cars are notorious for oil leaks my infinity has 160000 on it right now no oil leak no major problems and I had it for 6 years now so if you like spending money get friendly with the mechanic cause clearly you didn’t hear what the man said in the video
@@ambiencemusic376 That's funny, infinity doesn't lose their value? I can show you over a dozen ads on Kijiji of infinity cars with either broken transmissions or selling for less than 4k. BMW's don't hold their value because of the stigma around them, but every car leaks oil at some point and that is a fact. Rather have a easy oil leak like valve covers than a whole transmission blowing like Infinity and Nissan does almost like clockwork.
