I was nervous also when I first got his BMW but after 3 years I haven't had any major issues and the maintenance hasn't been bad at all. Most maintenance tasks are not difficult to learn. So if you're into working on cars this car is a good car to start with. My wheels are 19s and I have coilovers.
9:43 theres a certain trick to securing them, I used to drive around with them not fully on properly until i figured out the correct way to put them on
I bought a flexible frontlip made of rubber for about 20€. Looks not as sharp as a hard one, but very good aswell, is hilariously cheap, does not fade so far and the best thing is that you dont have the risk to break it, when you touch the ground or sidewalk. And in germany your car has to be 8cm above the ground at the lowest point, but flexible parts do only need to be 7cm above the ground. So if you give a fuck on the law you can turn your suspension 1cm lower with a flexible frontlip instead of a hard one :D

I still have this car after 6 years and its been extremely reliable. I havent had anything major break/fail on me. Yet at least. Ive just delt with typical maintenance and some oil leaks from gaskets but thats it. I've never had to tow the car or anything. But this isnt everyones experience. I feel like I just got lucky with mine
I don't think you have the blinkers installed correctly. I have very similar ones on my 335ix. There is a pressure/friction spring sorta thing that holds the blinker onto the car. The blinker needs to be put in the hole and then pushed to the rear of the car. If it doesn't work, try it again after turning the blinker 180 degrees in either direction.
Having the front grill scoops doesn't do anything it just collects more dirt doesn't give you a boost intake or anything else like that let him give you more air is just gets more dirt inside your system if you have you thought about getting a a rear diffuser

The one I have linked is for e90 sedan. The grills for e92 coupe are a little different. I’m certain you can find some for your e92 just gotta do a little searching around on Amazon.

bro the side markers have 3M tape on the back ..I thought the same that the fitment wasn't good ..peel off the 3M sticker cover and it sticks directly to the car ..no risk of falling out
I recommend you get a 13-14 335i over a 328i if you want to get a BMW. I don’t think the 328i will be much of an upgrade from your G35 over than the updated technology.

It’s a front lip I got from a seller off eBay. But It says they’re unavailable. I’ve been looking for a new one though cause I kinda damaged it a bit. And my spoiler also still looks great after 2 years
I know this is a little late to comment, but does the LED side markers cause an error code for the lights? 'Cause I know when you switch to LED's from halogen bulbs it tends to cause an error with the lightbulb symbol on the cluster.
Naw it won’t break down ! I brought my 2009 328i in 2020 and I have had it also a year and no major problems and I brought mine at 160k for 7k and the only problem I have had is head gasket cover , it was leaking and it got that fixed and got new sparks plugs and coil packs and I got a oil change too (a couple by now) and it’s been a good car 😎
Hey man I bought in 2020 an E90 2008 with 115,000 km (70,000 miles). I started by definitely changing the oil to some 5w-30 (make sure it’s bmw long life), oil filter and air filter. Previous owner used 10w40 which is totally wrong for the the engine. Not long after my engine started shutting down due to vamos solenoids being clogged with old 10w40 (super easy fix). Then I changed brake pads and machined the rotors (they had a mean lip on them). Had the valve cover gasket replaced since it was leaking, oil filter gasket replaced and got the injectors cleaned, I’m sure the previous owner used low octane fuel. So far haven’t had any issues with the car apart from the solenoids. Cheers man and have fun.

These are just 3 inch stainless steel single walled tips with a Y shape. I got these from my local muffler shop so I cant direct you to where to find them unfortunately. Have you checked with your local muffler shop? usually they have a bunch you can pick from.

I have a 2009 bmw 328i and was ust wondering is it normal for the hopd to get really hot and have like a slight burning smell?? Like i was told its just the smell of the radiator but i want to be sure please help
@@josephsingerle7423 oh okay lol. Well my hood also gets pretty hot so I would say that's normal. As for the smell, the only time I had a burning smell was when my valve cover gasket was leaking oil near the exhaust manifold. But that was a stronger buring smell I would say. As long as you don't see any leaks and the cars running normally, I wouldn't worry too much about that.
No Xdrive is different in the front than RWD. I have BC Racing Coilovers. They make some specifically for xDrive E90s. I have them in linked in the description
They're my stock headlights just retrofitted with aftermarket angel eye rings and were painted black in side the housing. I had someone else do everything for me so it came out to $1200. However I wish I had done them myself lol. would be only like $300 for everything.

@@InlineSixAuto it’s a 2011 with around 120 KM (around 60 miles). It’s super clean inside and outside so I can tell it was properly taken care of. Just a bit scared because I know German cars typically have much higher maintenance fees
@@delicious9930 Sounds great to me. If it looks like its been taken care of and maintained I'd say that's worth it. It will cost more in maintenance if something does go wrong depending on the part. If you learn to work on it yourself you will save a ton in maintenance costs, especially if its something like an oil leak. You will most likely get an oil leak at some point because that's just how BMWs are. Everything else is just up in the air it may break or it may not so it is a risk. So you want to have extra money set aside just in case some does break and you aren't able to replace it yourself. The N52 is generally a very reliable engine since it is naturally aspirated, internal engine components are unlikely to break. However its the gaskets, hoses, sensors, etc around the engine that tend to fail more often.

Where did you put the zip ties on the kidney grilles? I just had one fall out and just got a new pair, but I don’t know where to put the zip ties.
I remember there were openings in the clips that are on the grills and guided the ziptie through them and into the openings that are on the bumper.

You can do dual but the drone is really bad. I have dual on mine currently.
Can you put a back up camera and a different radio with a screen ?
You can but from what I've seen they don't always work well with the car.

No Xdrive is different in the front than RWD. I have BC Racing Coilovers. They make some specifically for xDrive E90s. I have them in linked in the description

How much and where did you get your headlights?
They're my stock headlights just retrofitted with aftermarket angel eye rings and were painted black in side the housing. I had someone else do everything for me so it came out to $1200. However I wish I had done them myself lol. would be only like $300 for everything.

@@InlineSixAuto it’s a 2011 with around 120 KM (around 60 miles). It’s super clean inside and outside so I can tell it was properly taken care of. Just a bit scared because I know German cars typically have much higher maintenance fees
@@delicious9930 Sounds great to me. If it looks like its been taken care of and maintained I'd say that's worth it. It will cost more in maintenance if something does go wrong depending on the part. If you learn to work on it yourself you will save a ton in maintenance costs, especially if its something like an oil leak. You will most likely get an oil leak at some point because that's just how BMWs are. Everything else is just up in the air it may break or it may not so it is a risk. So you want to have extra money set aside just in case some does break and you aren't able to replace it yourself. The N52 is generally a very reliable engine since it is naturally aspirated, internal engine components are unlikely to break. However its the gaskets, hoses, sensors, etc around the engine that tend to fail more often.
