Random bored developer one night: Guess I'll add a random thing here to kill some time
*decades later* OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE!
Easy, he added a random thing there to kill some time.

Or:
Dev: this is gonna be fun Easter egg hunt.

There's apparently an Easter egg in Megaman 9 that has NEVER be found according to a developper...
Le Papa Nouwel
I think it was just a marketing stunt. Almost everything has been tried.
I remember hearing about that.
Something about it being in Endless Mode
I reached out to the dev who made the claim multiple times, he's never gotten back to me unfortunately. Its especially unfortunate because theres no evidence for an egg outside of his claims which have been frequently challenged. Still plan to cover it one day though.
Im pretty sure there are hundreds if not thousands of not found easter eggs out there
oddheader Did a bit of research into it a couple years back, always thought that it might have something to do with the layout of the screens creating a map or message of some kind if you stitched them all together, but really have no idea, I might’ve been reaching for anything I could find at that point
Could you imagine passing a key to a video game Easter Egg to your kids?
“Dad what’s this”
“Video game puzzles, just wait for 2113”
I'd show them the game first and how the easter egg was found
Imagine having to tell your son that when the year 2113 comes around you have to go to the Eiffel Tower with 4 other people to unlock a hidden box
This sounds like a sci-fi movie plot
Those kids will become best goddamn friends
Might have to be grandkids or great grandkids. Our kids will be so old in 2113 that at least one of the four is likely to be dead by then.
It will fail and is stupid.

I have to wonder what compelled the director of Trials to incorporate real life dead drops, ciphers and century long puzzles into the canon of the funny bike man fall over game
Exactly! Who would search such a game for easter eggs? Which makes it a perfect place for hidding them in "Plain sight" or so to say.
@@CaptnKrow amen well said.

It's genius
Those Trials eggs, I would have rather expected them to be in Tomb Raider or Uncharted, not in a bike game based on old flash games.
But it's beautiful
Trials games always have the best eggs
Trials' Creative Director Antti Ilvessuo (the guy who fake fell over the podium at E3 when announcing Rising & also the guy on the right in the video under the Eiffel Tower) is the reason the Easter egg exists, he's a mad genius.
That is just one of the reasons the eggs are intricate and complex and thus, beautiful and clever as fuck
Totally agree, although if it was a guy riding a street legal dirt bike internationally, that would be more exciting. If you see a dirt biker digging somethings up lol
12:22 This is Drake's Equation it's used to estimate amount of active communicative extraterrestrial civilizations in milky way galaxy
(more info in sub comment section)
The Drake Equation is N = R*fp ne fl fi fc L.
This one has all sorts of different stuff
I found this too
"h 8m 2 . s +31" is weird search this to.
It's very similar, but it's not the same. The equation in the game is N = R * fg * fm * fj * ft * fp * ne * fl * fi * fc * L, whereas the Drake equation is N = R * fp * ne * fl * fi * fc * L. (Where R is the rate of star formation in the galaxy, fp is the fraction of stars with planets, ne is the number of plants that can support life per star with planets, fl is the fraction of life-supporting planets that will develop life, fi is the fraction of planets that develop life that will develop intelligent life, fc is the fraction of intelligent life which will send signals into outer space, and L is how long the average civilization will send signals into outer space; N is then the number of civilizations we can theoretically make contact with.)
It's the same equation, but with added terms for fg, fm, fj, and ft that I have no clue what they are.
@@GamerLeFay Maybe the leftovers are the clue, to connect with other symbols. I tried putting them together but I got fghfm8mfj2fts +31° ' ", which doesn't seems to make sense, so maybe there is work to do, but that +31° ' " sure looks like coordinates. Maybe translating those letters into numbers? I'm just brainstorming
Well it a VERY Dedicated Easter Egg hunter manages to solve the equation, it will only benefit humanity in one way or an other...
I think the big dude in Rayman is supposed to be Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole! He died during the games development, and it seems like a little tribute to him.

Can we talk about the fact that some dude thought to himself: "You know what this game is missing? A spot where if you wait a second, tortured ethereal screams will start playing"
Welp, I know what to do if I ever become a game developer
CoD WaW developers lol
"Inside" is an incredibly mysterious game. I read an interview with the director, he said he hid all the necessary clues in the game, but he doesn't want people to find them. Pretty bizarre.
randyhalfway I’ve been scouring the internet for some answers on the hidden room Easter egg nobodies mentioned it
To me, it’s all referring to the secret ending, being connected to the hidden room/corn field/number panel. When you find all of the glowing machines, their power opens up the large machine in the alternate path to the regular end of the game. That then gives you a clue to head back to the corn field, which now has a room and a switch panel. The buttons each play a sound, and if the right audio sequence is played, it opens up a door to a control room. From there, you interact with a few things and you get the true ending. I won’t spoil what you see/experience.
@@DukeTeo just search for "Inside game secret ending" on youtube and you'll see they go under the cornfield and into a room down there. Presumably originally there was going to be an elevator to get down there but they changed it to just a ladder. Kind of surprised in this video oddheader says nothing was ever found under the corn field, considering this alternate ending has been known about since pretty much as soon as the game came out
@@aarono0013 for the audio sequence, you can just google 'Secret ending door combination' and Google will know you're talking about Inside.
I can't tell if the director is serious, or just BSing when he says things like that. IIRC, he said something similar about the game Limbo.
Like, why would you create things in a game, and then tell people you don't want them to find the things that you spend time making? Either he's trying to use reverse psychology (and he REALLY wants people to piece the story together), or he's wasting his time?
For the Rayman one: I think that model could be a reference/homage to Israel 'IZ' Kamakawiwoʻole, who died in 1997 and is known for his beautiful rendition of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World'
That’s what I was thinking too
i was thinking that too
That's what immediately popped in my head when I saw this. wow.
Yep I thought the same thing too
ah, I love his music. I was sad when I found out he had died. it's really weird that his front isn't rendered, although it's probably to save memory. I wonder if there's any hidden animations or actions once one has legitimately entered the room.
wait... in one of the trials wasnt there a level that included the eiffel tower? what if we had to change our system date to 2113 aug 5th
as of 2/12/21 I have found multiple dead ends trying to figure this out but i have noticed that a few objects have been found with the keys they had several different dates mentioned for example a pocket watch from 1916 was found with the time 6:43 i feel like this is a clue to something... this is getting interesting to say the least
If I had the game I'd try it myself
Oh s**t I don't think anyone thought of that...
So did it it change anything?
.
That's a start. Now what about the 5 keys that are buried in real life, that actually exist?
12:20 FYI, I'm not at all surprised that this "cypher" has never been solved. Maybe it's because it's not a cypher? It's simply known as Drake's Equation, which is a probabilistic argument used to estimate the number of active, communicative extraterrestrial civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy.
The variables means:
N = the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which communication might be possible (i.e. which are on our current past light cone);
and
R∗ = the average rate of star formation in our galaxy
fp = the fraction of those stars that have planets
ne = the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets
fl = the fraction of planets that could support life that actually develop life at some point
fi = the fraction of planets with life that actually go on to develop intelligent life (civilizations)
fc = the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space
L = the length of time for which such civilizations release detectable signals into space
Exactly what fg, fm, fj and ft means, I don't know. They don't belong in the formula. Maybe they are the only four that actually means something, and they're hidden in the formula just to hide them?
Anyway, hope this helps. Have a nice day.
Oof. You beat me to it. Was just watching this video and noticed that lmao
wanna know something weird? they solved said equation, and the result was one: the earth.
I noticed that too, idk why it would have the Drake equation or how it correlates. Crazy to see in a bike game lol

@@4hunnid50 I think you misspelled WTF. XD
The "century long" Easter Egg is probably not related to time.
Here's why...
13:27 "... I also sent you some coordinates"
The timer indicates 21:14.800.
Something might have happened before (but it's cut in the video), at around 21:13 seconds, as we'll see below...
11:00 "Midday in Year 2113.
1st Sat in Aug
One of Five keys will open the box
Underneath the Eiffel Tower"
So that would be 5th Aug 2113 at 12:00, or (in ISO format):
2113-08-05T12:00:00
Trying to see how that _MIGHT_ translate in geographic coordinates:
21°13'08.05"N, 12°00'00"E
21°13'08.05"N, 12°00'00"W
21°13'08.05"S, 12°00'00"E
21°13'08.05"S, 12°00'00"W
Both coordinates to the South are in the middle of the ocean (so let's discard them).
21°13'08.05"N, 12°00'00"E is somewhere in Niger.
The most interesting one is 21°13'08.05"N, 12°00'00"W.
It is rather close to the "Eye of Africa" (21.13N 11.4W)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richat_Structure
Also worth noting in the message at 11:00, some letters are capitalised letters and read:
MY
SA
OF
UET
I don't know if there is any significance to the capitalised letters...
Other clues at 11:19 indicate we should not focus on the date itself (as it might hide another meaning).

12:25 That's Frank Drake's Equation!!!!
The equation is more of an argument wrapped in seven variables. Multiplied together, these variables yield a calculation of the possibility that humanity might someday hear from an intelligent civilization.
R* = The rate of formation of stars that are suitable for the development of intelligent life.
fp = The fraction of those stars with planetary systems.
ne = The number of planets per solar system that have an environment suitable for life.
fl = The fraction of suitable planets on which life actually appears.
fi = The fraction of life-bearing planets on which intelligent life emerges.
fc = The fraction of intelligent civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space.
L = The length of time such civilizations release detectable signals into space.
:D
Every time I see a console getting destroyed I feel the pain physically and mentally.
Uhhh. Two things about the Xbox Easter Egg.
1: It IS rendered in real time. This is something you find out if you have an old, dusty xbox, that lags the intro.
2: I'm pretty sure I found the easter egg as a kid. It's a different boot up sequence. Like the Gamecube. I don't have my Xbox now, but I remember the green goo stuff being yellow. That's all I can remember, but I remember it so vividly.
I think I remember seeing that on my cousin's xbox too. I think the usual font was yellow too. I being a young sony fanboy at the time wouldn't have even noticed it's significance because I didn't play xbox like that. Awe man. There's gotta be a video of it somewhere.
1. It is being rendered in real time, nobody said it wasn't.
2. What does being rendered in real time mean
@@alekai0574 meaning the Xbox isn't playing a prerecorded video for the intro its generating the graphics and animations in real time.
About the yellow bootup screen- Are you sure your cousin didn't just have a Modded Xbox? Since the 3D scene is rendered in real time, modders figured out ways of letting you customize it. I have mine set to green and white.

So it's the same thing as DDLC then? A whole bunch of clue for their next game. That is actually a relly neat way ro promote it. Fits the game too.
The corn field Easter egg in Inside was found, a good while ago. I remember seeing videos about it back in 2017, maybe even 2016. I don't remember if it was fully figured out, but people have been able to get down the elevator shaft and found a room down there.

Glad to see Inside finally on here. I'm not too big on the Inside ARG anymore, but I remember helping them get printer codes when the game came out on the switch. It was translated to CTRL CON DISCON. And for maybe a whole month, nobody was able to figure out what that meant. It says that TT was released in august of the same year as Rayman 2, while rayman was released in october and TT received a windows release in the same month as Rayman. and TT also shares many graphics and similar art design with Rayman, though I don't remember if the game had any banjo's in it haha. Though I also had a feeling that TT was a kind of test-run or trial for them before releasing Rayman as it had such a large team for such a.. well, under-acclaimed game. Wikipedia also states "Tonic Trouble was the first project to be developed by the previously established Ubi Soft Montreal" Obviously it didn't have the success that Rayman did despite having so many resources dedicated to it. I wonder what easter eggs are still in Tonic Trouble though, aside from the obvious rayman-esque placeholders, if that's what you'd call them.
I have a question for the easter egg finders out here, about warzone... when we are in the prison area (while being alive, not doing 1v1 in gulag to be clear) me and my mates hear an eerie scream at a random moment... this happened multiple times only in the prison zone, and it also seems to come from below the prison.
Well it is a prison. Might just be ambiance.
@@mikealaniz7236 yes, it might be... I just wanted to report this because I didnt find anyone talking about this over YT or forums, still, that scream is really, really creepy. To me it doesnt even seem to be human
@@26Ulisse Well, some people think that IW is going to add zombies, i wouldn't be surprisee if it was some zombies screaming. And on top of that, every single game from CoD since BO2 have a zombie mode, and most of them take place on the past or in the present, and gulags are very old
I heard a zombie sound there once
Ok I'm almost sure that there are boh zombies sound in the game as well as a wolf screaming... I think it's because of The Wolf in the campaign
I have a pretty long story here and i hope that oddheader will see it.
Yall remember Lord of The Rings: Battle for the Middle Earth 2? It was an amazing RTS game long time ago and still is today but sadly has no longer liscences by EA cuz they forgot to renew it or something, classic EA. Now the thing is my brother and i used to play this game for so long and so many days. We were still kids at that time and the year was like 2010 or something i forgot. Well since we were kids, we only got to play the demo version and during our playthrough we found 1 easter egg and one other easter egg that may or may not exist.
Easter Egg 1:
Okay for the first one, if we play any good faction in skirmish mode, then we will have the "Summon Hobbit Allies" available to both Men and the Dwarves, costing 10 power-points. This power summons a group of hobbits on the field who are lead by Frodo, Sam, Pippin, and Merry and is a Power tier: 2. Usually they only appear for a certain amount of time and dissappear afterwards regardless if they died or not in a fog. But what we found is that if we manage to get the ring by killing gollum that randomly appears in the map and make frodo pick it up and deliver it to the fortress, the 4 hero hobbits; frodo, sam, pippin, and merry all become permanent heroes and keep on staying even after their timer goes out during the whole skirmish. They can even be rebought in the fortress once they die which is not possible for any faction at all. IDK what happens if u summon the hobbits again but im pretty sure that this is real
Easter Egg 2:
Im not sure if this is even real or not but while we were playing dwarves in the Harlingdon map (Which was the only map available to us besides Weathering tops as we were playing Demo Lmao) and we were losing the match against goblins, we started on the top left side of the map. And suddenly, a weird fog came in which usually came while summoning the Men of Dale or the hobbits, and a whole battallion of glowing troops appeared outta nowhere. The funny thing is, we never summoned anything. The glowing troops had a sort of permanent bluish aura around them at all times and man they were overpowered. They were the size of regular dwarves and carried big giant blue and white shields with large axes. First we thought that they were the tower guards of gondor but their size and shield shape was completely different. We never encountered them again and have no idea what we did to summon them to this day. They clearly werent guardians cuz they didnt have the iconic blonde braided hair.
Another weird thing is that me and my brother both Clearly remember seeing that same troop in the trailer that starts when we open the game. It was at the moment when the hall of king dain is displayed that they appear. But both of us have tried looking at the trailers in youtube and havent found that glowing troop anywhere at all. We even checked on the internet if anyone had seen it before but there were not a single account about them anywhere. If you could find out about this OddHeader, then it would be highly appreciated.
@B. How can i do that? Can you help me? IM not that familier with discord
The Trials franchise never fails to make my head explode from its obtuse Easter Eggs
The man in Rayman sort of resembles Israel Kamakawiwoʻole, a famous ukulele player who had passed away two years prior to the game's release. Perhaps this is a developer tribute?
Imagine the opening in 2113 lead to another treasure that will be unburried on 2213
perfect entertainment for quarantine times
I'm happy for the shoutout in the video for the xbox egg! I also very much am enjoying this video too. Love your videos like always :) Keep it up!
Alma Elma is their a reddit I can go to or a discord I can join to work towards the Xbox egg with people ?
@@ilugfatbongs3857 I say join the discord
where's I Fart in Elevators in the patron list?
I asked that in the last video but never found out. Here's hoping someone lets us know this time!
They probably stopped supporting for one reason or another. Not that curious IMO
Maybe couldn't afford to pay for patron days before quarantine
My guess is that since he isn't farting in elevators anymore due to social distancing he stopped doing the Patreon thing
@@PsionicMonk fucking seriously...
“Can we get a hint”
Dev: nope
Hahahahahaha
what happened to your Patreon supporter, "I fart in elevators" that guy's handle always made me giggle

oddheader: *has a new video when I get back from the walk*
That’s a bit *odd*
Odd thing to come in to your head
Go for another walk pls
Got it, we need to find all of these. Let's get to work.

In an Interview with the head developer, Jeff Kaplan, of Overwatch he said that there is still an unfound Easter Egg on the map Blizzard World. The only hint he gave was that the secret is "quest related". I haven't heard of it since
Quest related? Are their quests in Overwatch?
@@HangOnThereSlick obviously no
@@HangOnThereSlick however that map has alot of referwnces to other blizz games like starcraft and warcraft which do featurw quests. Maybe its an easter egg related to a quest inone of those Games
The fifth key was actually found inside a mountain using the map editor. I first learned about the keys through Daniel San GMR about 5 years ago.
please look in to the skylanders egg i talked about on discord.
What is the skylanders easter egg? is it on the first skylanders game?
The kids who father's left the keys to will all meet under the Eiffel Tower to remember how a game's Easter Egg brought them together even after death.
3:00 that's a dank dab if I've ever seen one
deep dab
bruh that makes me really sad there's this whole mysterious thing and i'll never live long enough to see it
The equation written in the trials section is the drake equation....one to estimate the number of civilizations in our galaxy that we can contact with.....tought it was worth metioning it
The one in the gme has more terms
Guys! The equation at 12:20 is known as the “Drake Equation”, and is used to estimate the probability of extraterrestrial life elsewhere in the universe. Maybe this could help solve the code? Look it up!
Suggestion for solving the Trials cipher: Look into terms used in physics combined with the drake equation combined with solar coordinates. FG, FM, FJ = physics terms, the rest can be derived from the drake equation including ft(separate term used for it, but not in it), and the second part of the cipher is for solar coordinates(Alpha Andromeda). That's all i could find.
I think the guy in the Rayman Mystery is the musician who sang over the rainbow. The guitar type thing is what makes me think so. That is my guess anyway.
Israel Kamakawiwoʻole?
(yes i copy-pasted it lmao)
makes sense tho, the game was in development at the time he died, probably a homage or something
Well, maybe it's an hidden hommage and nothing else, did someone ever asked the developper ?
@@chasezly yes that is the one I meant to say that it could be a tribute to him. I am probably wrong though.
Cant wait to see everyone come together and solve these!! Especially the xbox start up one, besides a dreamcast that was the first console I had.
The Inside easter eggs really surprised me. thought the game had a strong “interpret this how you will” / death of the author kinda vibe to it, didn’t think there would be such direct, solvable puzzles hidden within
There’s a reason dude found all of those buttons and there’s a reason his name is BloodyNose. It’s called cocaine 😂
X3r0 Gaming and it's a hell of a drug.
I miss the days in which easter eggs were found completely by accident or by meticulously investigating every part of the map, rather than through data-mining. Data-mining for easter eggs takes the fun out of it.
This channel is gold. It feels like early 2010s. Keep it up man
Jesus, these feel like HUGE things that need more attention! The Inside easter egg as well as the Trials one are on a massive scale. Hopefully more people will start looking into it because of this video
Really hope the staircase mystery is still in BF, that was fascinating to follow when it was first discovered.
“I sent you the coordinates.”
So it seems logical that the unsolved cipher contains the coordinates.
Merge the time you recieve the message with the date, u get coordinates to a place very close to the "Eye of Africa".
2:36
It sounds like its being played backwards, if someone reverses it, they might get a secret message
"because this is a free T-shirt we're talking about here"

I mean he's not lying
The RAGE one should be pretty essy to uncover, its a simple engine to hack into, so we should be able to check the map's files for the next spots.
Somebody already tried that and the codes weren't there. Only codes that show a flash, but not where they are. The devs hid it very well
When I was young I out in a button code when turning on the Xbox and it changed the loading screen it's been so long I can't tell you how I did it but there was an alternative loading animation with strange noises
what did it look like?
@@NostalgiaWound I can not remember this was when I was really young but it did change the dashboard and the noise scared the hell out of me
There is an alternative Xbox start up sequence if you put an Xbox game in a DVD player or a PS2. I've actually seen it happen on my Xbox, probably because of a glitch. It startled me when I first saw it. You can find it by searching for "xbox dvd player startup" here on RUclips.
Did anyone find out what the Xbox startup Easter egg was
The ‘Inside’ Easter eggs are likely referring to Playdead a new game, which is supposed to be sci-fi. As for the elevator, that is so tantalizing that I need to find more information on it!
The last one is CLEARLY a reference to 2001: Space Odyssey
