Hey man, been playing mekanism for awhile now and whenever I come back to modded minecraft I always return to your videos. Thank you so much for the tutorials!
Haha, maybe I undersold it a tiny bit. Also, it’s actually 20x since the max burn rate went from 1 mb/t to 20 mb/t so I could max out the turbine at its current size which can support 19.2 mb/t burn rate.
@@RagePlaysGames I copied the bigger design of that reactor and could only get it to 1.3mB/t while the max was 20mB/t. The water for the coolant would keep getting drained and I’m not sure what my problem is :/
@xxReloadedxx I did that as well and it's little better. I'm on Enigmatica 6 and found out that they nerfed the crap out of the mod so it's basically pumping out a tenth or even less of the power.
@@jfrancisco8746 I had the exact same issue. I did NOT need to add the sodium cooling to fix it. I just upgraded my mechanical pipe and pressurized tubes to Ultimate between the turbine and reactor, anf then had no trouble with water loss.
immersive engineering and mekansim often times work hand in hand. Excavators, pump jacks and garden cloche's are all useful. Garden cloche's being the most overpowered because it allows you to mass produce ethylene for stupid amounts of power without even lifting a finger. It will get you through the rest of early game, mid game, and also some of late game too.
Did I miss the part where you get into the plutonium production, which is needed for the SPS casing? Or did you cover that in an earlier episode? Anyway, great tutorial, very helpful!
I dont think we ever directly covered plutonium production since its so similar to polonium production (1 or 2 different machines we've used many times in the series) which we covered extensively in episode 13. If you follow the same principals from that episode with the new machines (which i think is the centrifuge instead of the solar neutron activator) you should have no issue.
This thing is expensive! Even at a burn rate of 150 mb/t, the maximum polonium output would be 300 per second. That means it'll take just under an hour to get enough for ONE Anti-Matter pellet. Unless you have multiple high-capacity fission reactors, there will definitely be a waiting process for that build-up.
Loved the video Rage! I wonder what would happen if you dropped some antimatter pellets in a Pillager outpost? If you haven't seen one before, the Pillager outpost is a big, tall tower made of Dark Oakwood blocks, with some normal and mossy cobblestone blocks splashed in there.
Glad ya liked the video! I actually have not ever come across a Pillager outpost, but that sounds pretty cool! I have no idea what would happen but maybe we give it a go once I make the creative flying upgrade for my MekaSuit with the new antimatter we have. Hey rage! Recurring statement from me, but i loooove your series. Another quick question - do you know anything about the Industrial Alarm in Mekanism?
Hey, glad you liked the video! As for the industrial alarm, it isnt anything crazy fancy, just an alarm that goes off when powered with redstone. It can be useful if paired with things like failsafe switches on fission reactors to alert you to a problem since it is LOUD much like an actual industrial alarm.
Any details on how big you went with the fission tractor? Looks like 5 assembly's? Itd be cool to have a video on upscaling the fission reactors, I assume a sodium cooled one is happening.
I definitely plan on covering larger reactors with the sodium cooled down the road :) as for this one, I simply made it so it has 20 rods inside in a checkerboard pattern I described in the reactor video 5 rods per layer and 4 layers. I did this since 19.2 mb/t burn rate is the max the current size turbine can handle and each rod allows 1 mb/t max burn rate.
Gonna be honest but I really don't like the Super Critical Phase shifter, I get it you can upgrade your Fission reactor to produce more nuclear waste to create Polonium etc but my issue is the limited stuff you can do with anti-matter. And I think it can change during the process, when the reactor gets hotter, it may need more water than when it starts.
i think they should nerf Ethylene or buff the fission reactor, because when testing, i tried to build a fission reactor, but it generated just slightly more power than two or three ethylene generators (i think so, it has been months), and the ethylene stuff is basically free power, specially with some sort of cloche for the plants, and it's a much more compact and simple design compared to the reactor, the reactor is not only way larger, conplicated and expensive, but it's actually dangerous. I tried using the Turbine from E09, but trying to do the bigger reactor it can only run 6.5mb/t and that's with me pumping two electric pumps in with it too. I Upscaled my Fission Reactor to a 5x5 also that has a max of 20mb/t. Anything past 6.5 will drain water though and it heats up fast.
Something must be different from the turbine then or with the energy usage after the turbine because I haven’t touched the turbine since the recording of the episode and it supports my upgraded reactor burning 19.2 mb/t just fine in a closed loop system. The math checks out and I retested it in a creative world and it works there too. Do you have any energy backup in the turbine? Nevermind! The Fissile Fuel Generation System needs Coal, Fluorite and Uranium at the same time, I just didn't have time to follow what was running out. You should put Speed and Energy Upgrades to each machine in the Fuel Generation System, and probably craft a QIO Storage System to supply your Fuel Gen System with Coal, Fluorite and Uranium using QIO Exporters. Also, make several (I made two) Digital Miners, supply them with energy using Quantum Entangloporter, place a Chunk Loader down if possible, using QIO Importers take the mined ore out of Digital Miners into your QIO Storage. I also used QIO Importers/Exporters to automatically multiply my ore by four times via "x4 Ore Processing System", and made one more Enrichment Chamber specifically for x6 Fluorite generation.

With JEI, press ‘a’ while hovering over the item you want to bookmark :) press it again over the bookmark to remove it.
JEI let's you hotkey stuff to that side for faster reference so you don't have to search the entire list every time you want to build something.
@@RagePlaysGames Thanks
Can you show how to make the 6 billion item storage?
Do your pipes have sufficient transportation capacity for the increased flow of gases and fluids and power?
how do you make them borderless? Or like non-connecting textures?
its optifine doing the job, but its not working on 1.16 at least not for me
@@Shift154 same here, using optifine on 1.16.5, atleast I now know, thanks, it just really gets on my nerves
@@kann_1484 for me too, its weird to see glass not connected. Im going to search about it, i will update you
@@kann_1484 the mod called connectedtextures solved my problem, but only with the custom textures (from mekanism), not the default ones like polished diorite
@@Shift154 oh ok, thanks, although do you have a link for the download? cant find a 1.16.5 version.
Thanks idk how to use mekanism
But how can I increase fissile fuel production with a bigger reactor?
Edit: Show replies for an answer
So many explosions to just get the polonium i have. Now i have to make the plutonium pelets and im just like argh even in atm 8 where getting resources is a cake walk its just basically getting the star thats so hard. So So many explosions.
how wouöd you even get the amoutn of nuclear waste necessary to fuel this. like 1000mb of antimatter is like 1 million of pollonium and thats 10 million nuclear waste
just set the rate on the reactors to something really high
Multiple uranium filtered digital miners moved around while you explore/map the world, and an absolute chonker of a fission reactor.
Can you pls do a ice and fire let's play series pls
i recommend you to automate the fission fuel production
Already did in some of the earlier episodes of the series! Eventually I’d need to upscale it to multiple setups to produce enough for a max size reactor, but for now it’s able to produce more than my reactor uses at 19 mb/t
He has
I automated ore quintuplication with qio drive system
6:30 is when it starts building
