Man, those arms make sure look pretty a lot better than stock
Your builds are awesome! Badass trucks great advice and guidance, keep up the good work,I hope my 64 c10 is someday as nice as some of the trucks you’ve built!
Thanks alot! Just get better and better. You got it! Thanks for watching.
I ended up using the the flat plate for the bags to mark mine out was a pain in the ass. Your idea definitely works better for sure maybe my next build
Thanks alot. I try to offer things that I know help me and could help others. I appreciate it.
Long Island showing love.
Thank you!
Great vid btw. Love the production quality. Great work.
Thank you
Hi im sam from Australia , Geronimo sounds a cool name for the truck
Thanks!
I’d name that truck “Chief”
I like that name alot if a friend didn’t already use that name.
You ever have a pinion angle issue where you need shims? Or does the selectable trailing arm mount take care of that?
I’ve never had pinion angle problems putting it in the second hole from the bottom but yes the crossmember allows you to adjust it.
Is there any reason why you don’t mount the bags between the axle and the crossmember in the notch? Working on mine now and that looks like a pretty good spot with some additional flat stock or something… especially with your new crossmember design. Appreciate all you do! Your videos have helped me a lot along the way
If I did bag over axle, it wouldn’t get as much lift and the back would drop down further than the front is. I prefer to do it this way to keep things level and easy. Bag over axle is a great option though especially with the simple bridge.
Oh I see … I’m still waiting for the pb fab front drop crossmember so I’m kinda playing guessing games on how it’s going to sit… so with the bags on the trailing arms does the frame touch the ground and protect the bag or is the top and bottom of the bag smashing together? If so have you considered a “simple rear bump stop”.
Hoping to meet you at Dino’s this year !
I’m pumped for it.
I’m with Zach I’d name it “CHIEF” and I noticed that the truck is a 5 lug ?? Are you running the transport wheels on this one as well if so do they come in 5 lug or are you planning on using wheel adapters??? Thanks 🙏 for your input and advice and Happy Easter 🐣🐰 Simple C-10
No I have the Santa Cruz 22s on it. I would have ran transports
What bolts and washers are you using on the inner fenders and core support covers ?
I have them available on my website. www.simplec10.co
Does the tire shop have any issues when putting tires on those transport rims?
No
Please do a CLR/Comet cleanup on that surface rust BEFORE the patina sauce.
I’ll clean it up nice before that. Thanks for the suggestion.
My vote for the Apache is leave the exterior as is. Under the hood like brand new, clean hidden wires. Interior updated, super clean with new technology. Tear it down to the chassis with like QA1 coilovers, track/street. Wide 20" meats. Just a suggestion.
That sounds awesome. For sure leaving the exterior alone. We will have to see about the rest!
Is there a video of you welding that notch?
The video before this video is the step notch installation.
How about Chief or Cochise who was the Chief of the Apache’s?
I like chief but it I have a friend with a truck names that. Thanks for the suggestions! I appreciate it!
Hey bud, with those shock relocate. Where will the top side mount?
I’m mounting mine on the notch. It’s not where it’s designed to go but I’m using a really long shock to get the max lift
Are the bolts that hold the bags to the frame the same thread as the bottom of the bag?
@@dannysteveson6718 yes
@ cool thank you
I have a question for you. Let’s say in the instance. I don’t use the trailing arms from 10 works or the factory, but some offbrand not saying that I will what do you recommend for the overall length of the spacer with the arm should be if that makes any sense on 22 inch rims
@@dannysteveson6718 you would measure the trailing arm thickness and subtract the factory. It’s probably the same as factory. I don’t see many with a built in block. I wouldn’t buy aftermarket trailing arms unless they are tinworks though. I’d just keep factory.
@ cool thank you
Rusty Gold
Thank you!
Why the two different paint and textures on the frame? Just curious...
Everything is finished with the truck bed coating besides my trailing arms which were powder coated before installation.
I use the rust restore because it really does a good job of turning the frame into a paintable surface even if there’s a little rust left that I wasn’t able to remove. Then I finish it off with the truck bed coating because I like the textured matte look of it.
Gotcha 👍
Warhorse?
Nice!
I am trying to figure out if I need the monster notch or not. How do I know what size notch I need? I am trying to run 20 inch rims. And put in a air ride. What is best for me? I am working on a 1972 chevy c10 stepside truck. I am wanting to use my factory trailing arm's.
@@ronaldlevingston31 it depends on how low
You want to go. With a mini notch you’re not going to get the truck close to the ground. I’ve mini notched a few and regretted it. I wished I had laid it out.
I am wanting to laid it all the way out. And I see some tucks when they are laid out the front tires on some trucks the top of the be leaning in. What will stop that from happening?
@@ronaldlevingston31 most bagged vehicles will have some front wheel camber when fully aired out. You can fix that with an aftermarket drop member but those are expensive. Mine have slight camber but doesn’t look bad.
@SIMPLE.C10 ok thanks. When I start on my truck this winter. I will be order from your site.
@@ronaldlevingston31 thank you
Name for the truck Geronimo
Haha! That’s a good one.
“Honey baked” for the Apache
Nice!
Name that truck " Dusty Roads".
Wasn’t that Gold Dust dad’s name?!? Lol
The 60 to me looks like a John Wayne to me
Ohhh I like that
Yo!! I’m in GA
Thanks for watching
“Dorothy” for sure
I thought about that too!
name I tetanus
Thanks!
How about Dorothy?
I like that name!
😬 promo sm
?
My opinion is I dislike the bag location sorry Does not lay the axle all the way in the notch and tough to get to the top of the bag
Thanks for your feedback. I make a rear bag template that makes the back easy Peezy. The process that I explain to bag these c10s make the front and rear level at aired out using almost all factory components. For more advanced builders you could upgrade to a four link and move your bag placement. Sounds like that’s more of what you’re looking for. Any positive feedback you want to share?
@@SIMPLE.C10 What size overall height tire does that lay on? Thanks
Goldilocks
Nice!
Name her Dorothy.
Good name
