Since so many of you have asked, the music at the end is the Naval Hymn "Eternal Father", written by William Whiting.
The Mighty Jingles has been given permission by Wargaming EU to create this brilliant video. Please note World of Warships is still under NDA and any content creation showcasing the game can only be done with advanced prior agreement with Wargaming.net.

I'm unable to play WoWs pc these days and have to get my kicks with blitz on a tablet. So, decided to rewatch jingles old stuff and the nostalgia is palpable. Remember the Essex! It will be EPIC is they let us shoot every gun each time. This way the ship wont shoot all guns at exact same time but it will shoot 1 gun after another. OH MY GOD IT WILL LOOK SO FUCKING BADASS!

Obviously NDA, but I can tell you that you can fire single shot or full salvo when turned broadside. So you can fire all guns at once at the same time as long as you have them all facing the target, it's pretty epic. With surround sound headphones it's great. A mod to give things more deeper boom would really add to it.
Watched that movie, It kicked ass for me. I Seriously hope WG Will make sounds/flashes look/sound like they're from the movie

Well, battleships moving as if they were racing yatches, carriers launching planes in the middle of a turn, without regard to wind direction, with a plane turnaround of seconds. No rangefinding artillery at all, and ships with healthbars.
I guess it keeps the spirit of WoT's arcade nature. But this game is certainly not for someone like me.
It was never meant to be anything different in fairness and I can guarantee one thing...It will be a more solid product than War Thunder ships which they are now going to rush out to compete.
i believe warthunder ships will be to the more realistic taste of your's ramjb ;)
WT seabattle scenario; 1 hr long battles, 30 min. to sink a ship unless you hit the magazine, 15 min. trying to find an enemy ship. Yeah, I'm gonna stick on this one.

This game surely does look shipshape and Bristol fashion. I can't wait for it to hit the live server so I can conn the TEXAS and a FLETCHER class like I dreamed as a boy before the USN got a hold of me and turned me into a modern guided missile tin can sailor.

Same here. The only downfall is that you can't protect yourself against aircrafts manually and what to do when torpedoes in the water.... Well so far so good wg

As u cant find anythin bad bout this..I do. Whats that spottin of enemy ships, are u usin drones now? Battleships are as fast as motorboats? Its all nice and pretty as there is no real competition atm. I believe that will change in time, so might ur opinion on this arcade! game. But Im glad u have fun.
It is, as are World of Tanks & World of Warplanes, meant to be a fun, arcarde game, based on historical settings or elements. Not meant to be a simulator. :)

in simulator mode, you can run the ship ashore and turn yourself into a onshore artillery station, and you got unlimited hp, and enemy got to destory all your guns or your crews. Also, you need to identify the ship, in the vast ocean, you could mistaking the distance if you think it is a battleship when it is really a cruiser. Navy battle in simulator mode will be way difficult to made. I meant we can wait another 3 years for warthunder to have navy battles.
War thunder will sate your realism desire woon if that's what you want
jingles, can you please show us how the game looks on lower settings since about 5% of all players will be able to play this game on high. then we can just see how it looks on low or medium settings and see if it isnt just 64 bit ships.

I played on medium settings. Game still looks great though one thing i noticed is that you dont see individual aircraft but just one to signify a sortie. Apart from that its all around fine.
Agreed. Let's hope full release has multi-core support so my Core 0 doesn't have to melt anymore.
I highly doubt only 5% could play on high settings. If you have a gaming PC from the last 5 years you could play a game like this on high.
I have to play the game on low settings, and I get 20 FPS. Lucky me.

I have one gripe with WoW. The sounds of the canons. When a ship fires in the distance you simultaneously see the flash and hear the report. Well anybody who's ever experienced artillery fired in real life knows this does not happen. You first see the flash and they a few seconds later hear it. This really annoys me. Jingles please mentions this next time you see the big wigs

That seems like a bit of a minor detail to me. I agree that it is a bit odd, but I think I'd prefer to see them finish the German and Russian fleets and add the British fleet first.
Always love how they use the US and Japan first, why the hell isn't Britain and Germany first? They you know....actually fought first....makes total sense to add the late war battles and ships before the early war ships....top kek..

Pacific fleets rule
Those two nations had the largest and most diverse fleets and fought the largest number of naval engagements during WW2. It makes sense to get he basics of the game down with these nations and then add other nations that won't have the same amount of unit diversity.

Got to admit, Some sort of plane physics with random malfunctions would seriously level the Playing field. Maybe something the same to do with torpedos too? That, In both cases, Would make both a lot more balanced

I can not wait!! THIS is the naval battle game I have been looking for! NavyField 1 was fun back in the day... NavyField 2 is just plain fail. But THIS! If only they would accept my application for a Tester! I want the Baltimore so badly, my grandfather served on that one and his brother served on the USS Enterprise. I would KILL for them to accept my application. *sigh*

I have submitted to be a tester. I never got picked. Probably because I have no tester experience... but how can you get experience if you don't get picked? Lol. That's why Im stuck waiting.
well the beta test weekends are there for testing with a bigger number than normally...
I know a guy that newer were a tester before, but was chosen to be part of the alfa... There are really no reason why you should not try go for the beta... they oppen up from time to time, so it is just a mater of trying :)

Oh that is interesting, they have the Yamato load out for the Ten Go mission, the side 6.1 inch guns replaced with the AA.
I also hope we have the Taiho and the Shinano. The Shinano was the Yamato hull, made into an aircraft carrier.

Darius3431 I'd say better, it still has its issues, but the devs have acknowledged lots of the issues so chances are, they are working on fixing them (which is significantly better than WoT)

If you need help with the game then I would recommend checking out several RUclipsrs that have this game in their rotation of content

Notser, Flamuu, ichase, jingles (although I imagine that you already know him considering this is his video), there are many other smaller RUclipsrs out there that post WoWs content (you can search World of Warships to find their channels) that I would also recommend you check out given you have the time (it's good to help the smaller guys grow, help motivate them to keep doing their videos)

I find it amusing, looking back on the World of Warships I never knew. When I started playing in August of 2017, there was already American, German, Japanese, some British, some French, and a spattering of others. Now, in the 7 months since, there has been the addition of Pan-Asian destroyers, British Battleships, French cruisers and battleships, the odd Italian battleship, and a few "minor" changes, ie addition of Tier 9 Japanese battleship Musashi.
The Mighty Jingles Wargaming Europe Any chance you could explain in a video how aiming and gun control? I assume you somehow can choose between firing guns/topedoes, or the big guns/medium guns on the very big battleships. Other than that, another great video from Jingles and what looks like a fun game from Wargaming :)
Lots of videos explaining game mechanics will be released on our end as we get closer to release and/or after launch. I guess we can expect the same from Jingles as he seems to have enjoyed the game last weekend. :)

Thekilleroftanks Because the British fought with the US against Jpn naval vessels. The British also actually designed and built a lot of the earlier Jpn Naval vessels. No idea why you would add Russian navy, most of the ships were very outdated and their navy was wiped from existence in more than one occasion. Also if you are looking at market demand for a naval game, then it has to be USN, IJN, RN, KM. Most other navies were too small with too few types and were simply absorbed by larger fleets. If you need any further proof you need only look at absolutely any other naval game ever made. Russian navy will be a bit of a side show bob, they won't waste early development time on dead end tech trees.

A couple of quick questions. One, are the AA guns AI controlled, two, can the cruiser's and destroyer's main battery be used to engage aircraft like they occasionally did in history and lastly, will there ever be battlecruisers in the game ie HMS Hood?
Yes, AA guns are AI controlled, but can be turned on and off if you want to remain undetected. Some secondary battery guns are AA capable. There are some Battlecruisers already, technically the Kongo battleship is one, it's a British Lion class battelcruiser.
The Mighty Jingles actualy jingles you can tell you aa and secondaries to fire on specific targets.

On the subject of the Kongo, it's been roman-ised incorrectly, it should either be Kongō or Kongou. So less of an 'oh' sound, and instead a 'oh-oo' or maybe more of 'or' sound.

ZGuy0fSci Ctrl + Click on said aircraft group or ship and your AA/Secondaries will focus on that. There are some things in the video that Jingles got wrong / some of the answers to questions were not 100% correct but regardless he still did A nice video for the game itself.
The overall game is fun-able.
The problem with this game, for me currently are;
1. Why US destroyer get much better torpedo than Japan in early tier?
Isn't early US torp suppose to be suck like in real life?
2. How the hell US get a torpedo comparable to Japanese Type93 Long Lance in end tier?
I try to find information on this but everywhere I found, Mark15 torp still much more inferior than Type93 Long Lance in very way (except safety).
3. Map... why so much small island.... every maps... feel bullsh*t?
4. Shell ballistic... It odd when your shell travel at constant velocity all the way to target... It should be slowest at highest altitude and faster while dropping down..
Currently, sometime the shell only "accelerate" when nearly to target, kind of like it has rocket propulsion that fire up when 50m from target.
Ps. I'm not gonna post in official WoWS forum because WG fanboys gonna kill me.

I saw in a very old newsletter about the physics going into their shells. It looked pretty realistic. Maybe it's a thing with the perspective in the video. Or they abandoned the realistic shellfire because the complexity of it would kill their server or something.

One thing I don't get is some battleships had excellent anti-air capabilities. I mean ships like the North Carolina were used to screen the carriers from air attacks. I get that they need some way to balance things, but I have a feeling that ships that actually held up fairly well against air attacks are going to end up considerably more vulnerable than they actually were.

I wonder how long until games come that are war simulators. like battlefield on steriods where there's tons of players set on huge maps as infantry, armor, planes, ships, subs, whatever... I know Planetside 2 is on that scale, but I think a WW2 setting or a modern combat setting would suit me more...
Something like Panzer General in a huge map in the WW2-era with multiple players ? Do want ! It's been ages since we had a good game like that. Heck I still remember playing Colonial Conquest with my 5 friends on the same computer. I miss those times.

the speed of that destroyer in a turn (and in all the ships tbh) is so utterly unrealistic it makes my brain hurt :P i realize it's not a simulator but c'mon man, they should at least take some consideration into a more realistic game.
When ships in WoWS run aground, it's the same kind of stupidity we see in WoT when players drown themselves. I am looking forward to experience the retardness in WoWS, which I have grown to like in WoT (yes, I am being sarcastic in the last sentence).

Remember how popular it was, and how everyone was asking for WG to do something with it? Well, that Cross promotion was pretty successful wasn't it. Well, let me introduce you to 2 'new' anime:

KanColle is a browser based game and anime series. Arpeggio is a manga and anime series. They have had a crossover event on the KanColle servers, and everyone went nuts. These 2 series have over 2.2 million people who follow them. What are they about? Think GuP with the slight twist of, instead of captaining/piloting the ships, the girls ARE the ships. Anyone who likes anime and warships should check these series out. There is already a discussion in the WoWS forum about them, you can find it in the Fanart section. WG should definitely take advantage of this untapped pool of potential players.
Aaaaaaaaaand possibly do a crossover event that involves the ship girls. Because, you know, why not?
I remember downloading this game, on 2017 when I was 12 years old! Before British cancer-bbs and the HE spam! It was beautiful... RTS CVs were very nice back then because they didn't have AP bombs and AA was actually good... Good Times..

This video make me sad..... After watching this video review and back playing my "Navy Field 2" it felt like I'm playing a fking toy bot on a tub. World of Warship is beyond better on game play,graphic and tactical than Navy Field 2. :'(
This is a great video Admiral Jingles. I recently played this two weeks ago at PAX East in Boston, MA and it is SICK! I was given a World of Tanks t-shirt for free instead though, because they ran out of t-shirts for this game. Too bad cause I loved those. The had a side silhouette of a ship with the word HAPPENS underneath, a play on the phrase "Shit Happens". Anyway I think you did a great job explaining the basics of the game and make me even more eager to play this when it's finally released. I cannot wait!
Back before all the weird balance choices, wargamings PR and money grabbing tactics plus all that Anime trash put me off the game.

I hate the fact that there is no visual damage after u get hit.Like pieces falling off,part of the inner hull exposed and other details that would occur on a real warship battle.

WoT was ok before WT had appeared. But WoWp was terrible.

Wargaming are clearly following the Microsoft release rules... One good release (World of Tanks)... One shit release (World of Warplanes)... One good release (World of warships)... Though, with His Royal Highness Sir Jingles of the Sodium Mountains being granted permission to show footage I do hope they're close to going into open Beta.
I'd had a huge stoke on for World of Warplanes, and it was so disappointing (to me at least) that I wasn't going to get worked up for World of Warships... And it seems this was a good thing and a bad thing, because this is the first footage I've seen, and it's got me very interested... But negatively, I'm not signed into play, and so I now have a massive case of Blue Balls.
I SERIOUSLY like how the naval ships appear in front of you OUT of thin air....so real. I like how you can see 200m above you...so realistic. Yup total win. nothing bad in this game. Come on bro... you're getting wee bit out of hand here. If you got an NDA disclosure, don't release a review or first impressions. Then again, what you say in this video sounds like one in my opinion. Be honest about it
Nice review Jingles. Game looks very good. No issues with graphics ( except NO battle damage ? ). I'm not into seeing the enemy hit points like in WoT. I don't mind too much that you can see yours. I just have a problem with this in most games. When you play a Tank game like WarThunder the Hit points are not displayed which adds tons of more realism even in arcade mode. This game may be different then WoT - But you can see how may health points the enemy has.
also ships seem to move a bit too fast. After the battle you ship still looks brand new - where is the massive battle damage that should have been seen on your ship.
I know this is an Arcade and not a Sim. As far as i can remember in battles no one can see how much health you have left. Not even in the Movie Fury as an example did you see how many hit points where left on that Tiger tank. It was like watching and playing Warthunder - even in arcade mode.
Sure one Sherman got destroyed in one shot. Big deal. But the others did ric a few tiger shots then they were destroyed. Lucky Sherman. That how it was and should be.
I don't often get killed in One shot unless a am doing something stupid.
Both game have a Place for all of us. I just prefer more realism - have fun and enjoy whatever you pick - Pick Both :*)
Wow! So fun to see a game actually pay homage to how INSANE real life really is. Looking at the armaments of the Yamato, and the number of planes on the aircraft carrier. In most other games they would just have gone the easy way, putting 2 guns on the yamato and maybe TOPS 4 AA guns. For the aircraft carrier they would just have put tops 3 aircraft.
Very nice to see a game with the balls to push it to realistic levels. Because real life is often far more insane and "op" than games. Awesome.
This looks great but is lacking in realism on many accounts. The boats look like they are doing 300 knots. Slow it down to realistic speeds. The shells do not glow like falling asteroids, take the glow down to a smaller pin point. Something you can still see but more realistic. Should be far less torpedoes and they should be far more destructive. A direct hit from a torpedo should be a death sentence 9 out of 10 times. Damage should be more realistic. If you take a torpedo, you take on water very very slowly until you sink or the torpedo hits your ammo supply and you go up in a huge explosion. Some of your guns can be damaged beyond repair and you therefore lose them for the rest of the battle. Radar can also be damaged beyond repair etc. Carrier should be able to switch to a plane POV until it gets shot down or kamakazis.
As an alpha tester I can tell you my experience with world of warships:
I think it's boring. The first matches are ok, but after 5 times you realize that you will always do the same(spot some ships, fire, kill or get killed). And doesn't matter if it's a destroyer or a battleship, because the damage-armor relationship is almost the same at all levels. I don't like the damage mechanics: only an hp bar and sometimes your engine breaks because of the fire, and it's always repairable.
I know it's in alpha and I hope it will get better, but right now WoT is much better and has more odds.
Also the scenario is a problem: they can only change the islands to make different maps, thats why when I play I feel I'm doing the same every time.
People Don't laugh. I still use Win XP SP3. I'm not rich and can't build a new PC anytime soon. Not to mention i'm getting tired of building them.
Jingles can i run this game on XP ?

If it was nothing but one thing, I would say sounds effects. They're not bad, but you never work hard enough on the sounds effects.

Looks like fun to me; a sort of horizontal Mechwarrior mixup, complete with countermeasures, air support, and sudden, sharp, stops at the bottom. Since I'm an inveterate WoT player I'm already a fan of wargaming dot net.

WoWS is a nice try but so far just like all other WoX games very, very silly and disappointing...
God i HATE seeing those planes just magically vanish even when they launch from the aircraft carrier you can clearly see.
Same problem as in World of Tanks. I HATE that magical vanish mechanic. God awful.
