I love the clip at 24.15, when he is running for the carriers, and you can see his torpedoes in the water, him firing his guns at the carrier, and his aa opening up in all directions at the multitude of aircraft overhead.
I seriously love the history and specs you keep up with when relating the game to real life...doing awesome work Jingles.

RNG rules should state at the start of the match Every Russian ship needs to flip a coin. Heads - Ship just sinks, Tails - Ship Rusts and slowly drains hp until it sinks. Torpedoes only go 1km as mostly all the fuel was removed for moonshine vodka.
Just a note, but as a DD peppering BBs, you're generally best off starting with HE, lighting him up (or landing torps and causing flooding), and then continuing with HE until he burns again after using his repair party. Don't switch to AP until after that, so that you've got that solid DoT on him.
IDK what it is, but HE also seems to damage turrets more reliably.
Quick tip for Gremyashchy. Turn your ship to aim the guns instead of the turrets in close quarters fights. Keep those guns pointed in the same direction and zig zag. Every time you turn back towards the target your guns will be able to shoot again. You should still try to keep yourself at a distance and rely more on torps at close range though.
This story reminds me of the Forty Thieves. The Vengeur class had the most ships of any class ever built for the RN. The were poorly constructed due to incompetence and bribery. One of them was named Warspite, btw.
Correction captain jingles if you are close enough everytime you fire they will spot you. I learned this by getting the captain skill so far i can say that while smoke screen does lower enemy's spotting range it still doesnt fully stop you from being seen
at 13:10 that battleship captain could spot you everytime you fired
if there is an enemy ship in your detection range you will be lit up constantly but if you are out of th detection range planes and ships can detect your fire
Userext47 also i recommend you to use AP against CAs and CVs after you set them on fire because AP does deal a lot of damage and since you have low calibre low penetration guns it is easier for you to do full damage to carriers and cruisers

I can't wait for this to go into open beta/release. Looks like one hell of a game. I've always thought that the battleships of WW2 were the most interesting machines developed and used around the world. Now I wonder if submarines will ever be added. Man being a u boat would be fun.

This ship has given me some pretty good games.
During one I had been going after the enemy aircraft carrier and just as I sunk it a battleship decided he didn't like my face. So I thought why not I'll go for him too (he was one of the two last ships on the enemy team left). Well after sending down some pop gun shots, dodging his and firing off torps to make him evade and focus on them instead of me I suddenly had a DNS error and was disconnected. It took 2 minutes to fix it and when I rejoined he was parallel with me firing like crazy (I was at half speed before I disconnected) and as soon as I realised what the hell was going on I let off all of my torps straight into him. Now he raged like a baby into chat and laughed me ass off to survive another day. Very Stronk ship if not by accident.
One thing I have noticed on what ammo type to choose: if I am shooting the length-wise of a ship (fore to aft, and vice-versa), I find Armor Piercing ammo to be the best type on all ships. There is enough ship to keep the shells from exiting the back, and the damage is really, really, good. So crossing the T does have even more bonus besides bringing more guns to bear.
Of course, when shooting at the sides of ships, except for BBs, I switch back to HE for damage.
Destroyer replays are so much fun to watch. And yes, the Gremyashchy is an extremely cool looking ship!

what they need to implement is a system that counts who did the most damage on the ship and if someone else steals the kill the person who did more damage gets the kill points

Most Italian WWI and WWII tanks, firearms, trucks, aircraft and artillery suffered from poor designs.
They had some decent ships, but not much else.
The Italian army in Africa was nearly defeated by Ethiopians armed with spears, arrows and clubs.

Hey Jingles, you might want to mention one big advantage of the Gremyashchy over the other premium destroyer, the t7 Sims: while the Sims might have a more RoF range and turret rotation speed, its nearly useless at ranges over 10km because its firing arc is so hight, that aiming at anything not completely stationary is pure luck. The Gremy on the other hand seems to have a very nice flat shell trajectory.

Evening Jingles. I bought the Sims and Gremy and while I initially thought the Sims was the best of the two (love the maneuverability, turret tuning and RoF of the Sims), after playing more games in both I actually prefer the Gremy. It's a good all rounder. I've played approx the same number of games in both but my XP score in the Gremy is much better...
Sims - Ave XP = 991, Max XP 3,012
Gremyashchy Ave XP = 1,375, Max XP = 3,611
So if anyone was planning on getting just one, this would the one I would chose. However, both are good ships and you just need to change your play style to suit..

BTW, you can turn on the player panels in the options page. ESC - Settings - Controls - Enable Player Panels checkbox. I don't know if you turn them off for your videos or just didn't know they were there.

The Mighty Jingles if you want to read more about some terrible Naval cock ups, read 'Great Naval Blunders'. It includes many experiments and disasters of design, such as the Russian circular ships with one central gun. 3 were built, all completely uncontrollable, and scrapped!
Uh... you most certainly did not stay hidden at 13:00. You shot at him within his view range. Smokescreen or not, you'll appear bright as day for a moment. Long enough to shoot back at you.

They will not add submarines , they once promised.
I think Subamrines would work, IF for every submarine in your team there is also added a merchant ship joining your team. This merchant ship would work like in the Helloween Scenario. This way the Submarines would be able to sink enemy Merchants and the DDs would be able to sink them.
Submarines would be very slow! So you can't hunt down any other ships besides Merchants. To sink BB or cruizersyou would need to lay traps.

That is in fact a very good looking ship, then again most Italian stuff is good looking, Italian supercar's, pizza, the country in general and women.
You should NOT be firing anything but HE in a destroyer. Either it goes at low-armour targets where HE is better, or high armour targets where you can't penetrate so HE is better there too

Heh... This was the ship that bought me into WoW. It's a great exp and credit machine. It's very underestimated by people.

I don't know a bit about the price tags in WoWs, but because of the masses of money you rack up I expect them to be monstrousities on paper tags comparing to the WoT prices.

Not sure how you managed to play this game so much without knowing how the spotting system works, get the captain skill if you want to test - but fyi, if you fire at somebody - you're spotted even if you're outside your surface detection range, as long as ANY enemy has line of sight, if you fire your main guns you are spotted.
Sir Jingles, one thing I've been wondering about is what exactly the end battle report screens mean, in relation to progress through the tech trees. Nearly everyone watching these videos will not have played WoWS, but they probably play WoT, so if you could try and relate the amount of credits and exp to what you could typically see from a WoT match, that would probably go a long way. For example, how much credits and exp does it take to unlock a tier 5 battleship? How much exp do you get in an average match? Average credits?

The xp and credits are pretty much the same in world of tanks and world of warships. For example, the Kongo tier V battleship costs 13k XP, so does the T1 Heavy tier V American heavy tank. And trust me, I'm in the beta test. Guilty of buying my way in lol.

waveman99 cotne siradze Ships do cost more silver, but you make a buttload more silver as well. you can make almost 200k silver per game. a tier 7 BB costs 2,400,000 silver. do the math. It is ten times faster to progress through tech tree in WoWS. I wouldn't have gotten an American tier 6 BB in 3 days if i was lying.
waveman99 Creds and XP are inflated in the CBT to get more people testing higher Tiers. OBT will show the real values you get per match and which you need to get the next Tier.
Though they will be higher per match compared to WoT, since WoWs matches last 20mins.

I think that they need to add a new class: torpedo BOATS. its a small wooden boat with one torpedo, that reload torpedo every 1min. because its on size of 10 meters at the maximum, its unable to cap, and unable to shoot anything but planes and other boats with machine gun.
Well my top score in Gremyashy is 156k dmg, 6 kills (3 x CA's 1 x BB 1 x DD 1 x CV) and 3413 base expirience, made on the same map. It is of course a great round for that guy, but still killing 5 enemys in Gremyashy is not that big deal, it happend to me quite a few times. Unfortunatley I didn't recorded my run, so only proofs I can possibly show are screenshots of the results.

There is a forum post (forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/11679-replay-function/) on the eu WoWS CBT test forum, but from watching your videos I assume you're on the US server and may not be able to access it so I'll summarise the post here as well:
Find the preferences.xml file in your World of Warships folder and open it with a text editor.
Then find the line (it's near the bottom of the file).
Paste the following lines before :
* true *
* 30 *
This is how the result should look like:
* true *
* 30 *
**
And then save the file.
The replay controls are the same as WoT, I believe. (I've heard that you may also need to create a folder called *replays* in your world of warships folder for the replays to save.

I haven`t played my 3 premium ships much, but I`d say the Gremyashchy ist by far the best. That T4 Cruiser doesn`t seem to be very special in any way and the USS Sims has a strength which has not much of a point on destroyers - pepper gunnery.
Of the 3 premium ships, this DD is the only one i haven't used lol looks like i need to give it a try.
BTW, It seems like DD AP does better dmg to other DDs. Since they are small caliber guns they don't over penetrate. And HE does more dmg on BBs and CAs since they don't require penetration. But that's just my observation with US DDs.

Hey guys. Are the town class destroyers going to be in the game? Yes they suck, but I love the way they look. (They were American destroyers, many given to Britain and other various allies before entering the war, in exchange for certain land. A way to help Britain without technically being at war)
