    Parkway was a great district when I was growing up ( class of 80), now it's just like any other inner city school. And they wonder why "other" people keep moving out and further away.

      Parents can now be liable for this since the precedent has been set. (Unless it only applied to some parents and not others).

      Not necessarily anymore. The district has plenty of apartments, especially along Manchester road. Parkway North has it even worse with all the apartments in Maryland Heights.

      Not after he chose to pick up that firearm and bring it to school. On that day, he became an adult and a criminal. I hope an investigation is held to determine exactly how he acquired that firearm and charges brought for that as well.

      @@GeneJordan, I'm sure he did; I'm sure you feel the same way about those mass shooters who are wiped. It's just so funny because the majority of you all are nowhere to be found when it's a white mass shooter. But when it's a Black boy who brings a gun to the school and doesn't do anything with it, all of a sudden D.E.I. is working (despite the fact that it was prohibited). I definitely do not condone what he did, and am very appalled that this happened at my high school; but I'm not going to sit here and avoid calling-out the racism when I see it.

      @@Lin10uson Wrong! He's immature for his age and was clearly not raised with the correct principles and morals necessary to remain within society.
      However, when he chose to aquire that firearm (illegally) and bring it to his school, he made the choice to become a man.
      If he had injured or killed anyone with that firearm, he would have no doubt been charged as an adult.
      If any adult had anything to do with his acquiring that weapon illegally, they should be charged with felonies as well.

    • @Lin10uson
      @Lin10uson 10 дней назад

      @@GeneJordan, you don't become a man by the decisions you make; you either are an adult or you're not. Though, I expect this kind of view from someone who has been indoctrinated in the way of thinking that Black children are never children. You wouldn't have seen him as a child before he did this because you don't see our children as children. I have no reason to defend anything he did; but I'm also not going to do anything but combat someone who is clearly using his race to adultify him.

      There's always been diversity at Parkway South. It's nice to see that people are advocating for 'whites only' schools in '24 still while they claim racism doesn't exist. It's also very disingenuous to, upon news of the first story of a gun being brought to my old high school, act as if there has not been a plague of white shooters all throughout the country at these schools. You all literally are okay with mass shootings as long as they are committed by white people-even if juxtaposed to a Black person bringing a gun to the school and not injuring anyone.

    • @GeneJordan
      @GeneJordan 10 дней назад

      @@Lin10uson the only reason he was not able to hurt anyone is that he was caught before he had a chance to do so. Since it was related to a fight, he was likely looking for a specific other student or students to be his target(s).

      What do you mean by them??? Just because the student is black doesn't mean they are "ghetto" you would be shocked by how many students of color in that school are doing great things for themselves. This was just one instance where the child messed up... a lot.
