AMT 1940 Ford Coupe Competed

The AMT 1940 Ford Coupe is completed. Had some issues with the paint but all in all it came out pretty nice.

The 40 turned out nice. Not overly shiny finish, looks more natural. Keep up the great work and sharing your video. The 40 Ford is one of my favorite street rods.
My dad was born in Jan 1940, he passed away in 2002. He always wanted to build a 40 . Check out the Revell 40 Ford. I kit bashed one with the Revell 32 Ford, engine and wheels/tires. I'm also doing one with a resin Ardun head flathead.

The 40 Ford looks killer and I absolutely love the color.. As far as BMF goes, I have better luck with it sticking to automotive clear or just really smooth slick surfaces.. I've never used acrylic paint on a model so I don't know if that's a problem or not? But the build looks great as is....😎👍

40 looks great Robert! I've neever tried Tamiya's rubber black in avrylic. but I just got the LP version for some tires I 3d printed and it's absolutely perfect for a rubber black.

Very nice paint 👍 I like the copper bronze it looks very authentic to the time I think 👏 I've ordered some Tamiya TS58 Pearl Blue I'm probably going to use.. I it there a stock drag car version I can build??

Use a base coat of Tamiya Mica Silver first. It really makes that paint color "pop"
I have used Tamiya Gold as a base coat for their Mica Red as well.

Does your Bare Metal Foil package say New Improved Chrome? If it does, that stuff does not work. You have to find the one that says Chrome. That is the original. that one works.
