Just hold square timingly or run around, or counter if possible. If there's an opening go for blind- attack/attack behind enemies (sometimes trigger teamwork/link if allies nearby,which give allot damage) it would end faster.
I got 6 horns before I watched tutorials on how to get that ultima blade. And I still tried doing it not knowing I have 6 in my inventory...it also dropped the 1st time I tried the tutorial. 😑
I really wish they made the sniper do like 1000 damage (on the card, it does 1xx), but instead of a 1s between shots it was like 4 seconds, because for a sniper to do less then a pistol itd quite saddening for it being unique n all
The problem is that it was used for long distance... And most fight have small ring. It wasn't ideal for bosses. The only fun way to shoot is using promto directly.

Nehes That's actually an interesting question. I'm on chapter ten or 11 in my new game and I'll see if I can find this weapon and do just that. If not, it'll probably be because you have to engage the enemy first. With how many bullets the soldiers fire, it's nearly impossible to get a lock on, so if you can't snipe from a long distance before engaging the enemy, it's probably wait mode or just firing as usual. Also...who's brilliant idea was it to have a rifle that Prompto, the gunman, can't use?! That's like a slap to the face for the guy! Unless his Episode will allow us to bring back a weapon for him, similar to Gladio and winning his Rugged Attire outfit from his episode.

I've been using this on lvl 120's and im loving this weapon otherwise 2 hour fights are now dropped to 5 minutes with breaking

Steven Rhodes if you get a head shot on any imperial unit or humanoid enemy it's a 1 hit kill
it's best used in the early game Its best use is to blow of mech limbs I allways had trouble with the mechs until I got the rifle

I found it useless but starting a new playthrough, i found it the best way to get a sturdy helixhorn.
