- The last few months I have been working on my girls room, collecting beds, a wool rug, frames, vintage hand mirrors and loads of linen and wicker. I wanted a cozy room that incorporated antique finds and some new items too. The girls are a little older now, so I wanted it to feel girly yet grown up.

Agreed. Makes it look less like out of a catalogue and more 'authentic', lived in, farmhouse style.
A coherent style is one thing, everything being 'matchy-matchy' on the other hand, can look a little too perfect.

The perfect thing you did was your kid's pictures for art work. My sister and I were 2 years apart and shared a room so I get the gesture there. My mother should have thought of that. ha ha. The artist in the room is very good. I can see you value their work

I would've liked a room like this for me and my sister to share when we were little girls! It's so sweet but also sophisticated. If you took black-n-white or sepia pictures of parts of the room, one would think they were taken "back in the day".

It'd be nice to see your home in the evening with the lights on and how the colors of the floor, doors, furniture, etc come out then.
Old furniture is much more durable than that stuff you have to assemble out of a box!! The room is lovely!

The room is absolutely wonderful, love each aspect. My 2 girls fought as teens all the time but now in their 30's are inseparable, I find this mind boggling lol

This is beautiful. And I appreciate what you’re saying about how your house is “supposed” to look, but you have a lot of kids. It’s supposed to look like you have kids living there ❤️
Their room is so calming and pretty. One suggestion, make them grand ruffle bed skirts, your so good at sewing ruffles and the beds need just a bit more of that fullness ♥️ Your home is beautiful!

I saw a twin bed that had one king size pillow on it, and it looked so good. Might be something to consider with the sage green pillow cases on their beds. Great job with their room

Your girls will simply adore that project when you get it hung!
