If you wanted to study braiding / sew-ins / weaves what is the course called? Where I live colleges do courses but as far as I am aware there is no detailed braiding or teaching on how to do braids / extensions /weaves , sew in work , wig installations etc - it all seems to be Caucasian type hairdressing courses if that makes sense . Are students usually expected to study regular hairdressing ( washing /drying /cutting / style/colour etc ) before learning about braids /extensions / sew in / wig work ? Thanks x

I watched another lady’s video on how to do the goddess braids and I just cannot figure out how she had her fingers position to do them. These are regular braids but it will still help me to learn how to even add a Extensions to the hair.

So I can feed-in but can't figure out how to position my fingers to do the knot at the top! For my daughter's curly hair I think the knot would be better since I need as much of her hair in the extensions as possible to prevent it from looking frizzy.

I get it now. You hold the 1/3 strand of weave between your middle and ring finger. Then the 2nd strand between your thumb and index finger. The 3rd strand just lays across index finger. Take a small piece of natural hair attach to middle strand and begin braiding.
+arya Raymond it sounds like you aren't gripping tight enough with your non-dominant hand. Try focusing a bit more on your non-dominant hand and see if that helps.
I've rewinded this video so many times and I Still can't do it. I'm confused at the part where u wrap the braiding hair around your fingers after you hold or pinch the "knot" to start the cornrow😭💔

Feed ins do you mean?
You start with the own hair strands. Like one time. Then u start with feeding in the hair

How do y'all keep it from tangling at the ends while you braid? I got a mess going over here and waisting a lot of it
toolovelyforyou10 you have to keep raking your hands through the hair to detangle as you braid otherwise you will have the tangled mess.

shaping it, I don't really know how to explain it...let's just say it looks like two people doing different designs on the same head
