CEDAR CREEK FALLS TRAIL | MOST UNDERRATED HIKE IN SAN DIEGO?

First, we want to welcome the new (and old) subscribers and thank you all for watching and subbing to our content.
In this video, we take on the easy to moderate Cedar Creek Falls Trail. It is located in Ramona, CA approximately 1 hour outside of San Diego proper. The trail length is 6 miles with an elevation loss of about 1000 feet. You will descend 3 miles then climb back out to the trailhead. The falls were merely a trickle at this time of year and to view peak flow, its best to hike the trail in January or February. There is a large pool of water that you can swim in to enjoy a bit of relaxation from the heat. A permit is required and cost $6 for a group of 5 and can be purchased on Recreation.gov. Bring a few liters of water, snacks, sunblock, and bug spray.

We rate it as easy if you’re in active shape and an avid hiker. Moderate if you’re mostly sedentary and don’t regularly hike. You have to climb out 1000’ to the trailhead but it’s mostly at sea level so not too difficult.
How was the weather?
Do you recommend this trail for kids?
Weather was perfect. I recommend it for children that are capable of hiking trails that are 3-5 miles with minimal elevation gain.
