Check out Toesies Tim's segmented speed run here: ruclips.net/video/9O5fBQnMIrw/видео.html The seed used is 3245 5567 and has a fire ice/silicon/titanium binary as well as a tidal locked inner planet.
Also also, deviantsS0ul was kind enough to post some really cool seed resources on my reddit thread. Spoilers: there are 1117 seeds out of 100M that meet my definition of 'perfect' and they have all been discovered.
I'd say having a black hole or neutron star close to your initial system is the most important thing for speedrun but those attributes are kind of neat too.
8:20 Excess Hydrogen is not an issue IMO - pipe it into 1 or 2 fractionater loops and start generating deuterium. When you actually need it, you should have a nice tank ready to go.
Then you have too much deuterium. And THEN too much hydrogen. I personally have some planets that run entirely on gas power generators. So i have someplace to send excess hydrogen.
I might have mentioned hunting down a good dyson system if there's a plan to scale up past "Mission Complete". Not all seeds have a centrally located 2.4+ O type that also includes a planet within the maximum Dyson Sphere radius (less than 1.6-1.7 AU for most O systems) -- 100% receiving efficiency on the whole planet without lenses.
i had mined mine fire ice like 12LY from base only to check back on gas giant on my starter planet that have also fire ice, yeah i could check that earlier :D totaly random seed with bonus that have black hole and neutron star far away, which is also benefit (farther away, more magnets it have)
I picked a random seed for my first ever playthrough and got lucky with an ice giant. Fire ice and hydrogen from them is best. I burn any excess graphene so that hyrdorgen production can continue as im at the stage where hydrogen is not as abundant yet as I need it. Im near equilibrium though.
I could see how that would impact how early you get access to unipolar magnets. At the time I made the video, that wasn't a consideration I factored in. For me, all seeds are pretty good. From a content perspective I tend to foucus on ehat benefits you the most in the first 40 hours of play. If you're going for a mega build with spheres on every star etc Im sure there are a lot of other things to consider too.
one of the reason why this isn't a good idea is because you might choose a planet that has no water or oil. it also might complicate things for newbies but perhaps they could confine it to a similar planet under different conditions. Perhaps a planet that isn't orbiting a gas giant, or a planet that is tidally locked etc...
@@dumaskhan There may be some restrictions, or warnings. Perhaps Mediterranean as the starting planet would be mandatory, and having Titanium and Silicon in the starting system would be mandatory. But it would be nice to choose for example whether I have a planet with Fire Ice veins in the starting system.
know this is old what about trinary with fire ice on giant one plaint has 150% wind also 5 O type stars and 2 Blue giant's first seed i ever got did not play it
I believe this is still a reasonably accurate video as seed gen hasn't changed in relevant ways. I think that sounds like a pretty good seed to start with.
I’m on my second ever play through, both times I just played random seed, and I got fire ice gas giants both times, and the second time I also got 9M fire ice on the outer planet.
Just some quick feedback - you should have including the game name in your title, as you do not qualify what type of seeds for what - a game, the garden, etc the changes are that the video is getting lost in the system.
Having a fire ice vein on the other binary is super rare. Binary alone is 436.7k in 100m, or a bit less than 1 in 200, so still quite nifty. That's how my very first play through was so I also assumed it wasn't all that special, but it is.

@BC1 who is being cheated exactly? It's a single player game?
I had no idea what that 8 digit number was...now I'm sufferring with
@@dontmatter4423 its the same basic idea as a minecraft seed used in all the generative calcs that determine where you will find what
This game is so complicated..
I love it

To each their own, though I am of the mindset that if you're not using 100% of the hydrogen you're producing at all times, your're asking for problems

I'm about 150 hours into my first playthrough. I started with a tidally locked planet and my gas giant had fireice
Go play the lottery, you might win.
Wait that's not all the gas giant ?
@hawk-di4db the other type has deuterium and hydrogen
Apparently I am pretty lucky because my first run has both a tidally locked lava planet and a fire ice deposit.
That is quite rare indeed, bravo!

Wasn't there something about having a black hole and a neutron star?
I don't understand, I believe all seeds have one of each
@@BadPeteNo doesn't the distance from the first planet impact the likelihood/yield of rarer mats?

@@BadPeteNo Appreciate the thoughts, i'm about to start a new playthrough so just trying to gather info, I never made it to the end before
Seems like I got quite lucky then, I just started the seed I was given, turns out it's got a binary system and fire ice as well
Nice title pun!
I hope the game developers are gonna implement choosing the types of planets you want in your starting system at game creation

There are mods that let you do that. And get over 1000 stars if you want. Although you better have a top end system if you want to try taht.
I randomly found a cluster with fire ice at the start

If you could write a script, maybe you could make computers find millions of possible seeds for you.
If you look through the comments there is a link to where someone has done exactly that
I just look for the star with the highest luminosity
I’m on my second ever play through, both times I just played random seed, and I got fire ice gas giants both times, and the second time I also got 9M fire ice on the outer planet.
The giant isn't that rare but the vein is at a minimum 'uncommon'.
if you are willing to use mods, there is a mod that lets you search for seeds. Modname: StarMapTools
The devs have worked to allow mods so totally fair. So far my content is focused on vanilla as its the basline.

Fantastic seeds and where to find them: The programs of dyson sphere
On my world which is 100% vanilla i have a binary and fire ice in my gas giant, i didn't know it was rare haha

TIL my random system sucks
If you hate your system, start over. Its always easier the more you try.
@@BadPeteNo Thanks for that
