atmospheric and astronomical refraction are why the lenses work the way they do. Example, when the sun sets (bottom part is touching the horizon) it is actually below the horizon, the atmosphere bends light making it appear higher than it is. Take away the atmosphere no light/power would reach the lenses once the star goes below the horizon.
@@elilewis8212 He did a tutorial for Master Hub/Build Everything in his old playthrough. He just hasn't done a blueprint for it yet. Also by the time you hit yellow science you should be expanded to the 2nd and 3rd planets for Foundry and Assembly work because you should be super low on resources on the primary planet. Hope that helps. :D

Very useful! Btw, even though you probably dont want any mods, there is one that improved blueprint placing, and includes the shift place from Factorio that ignores what is colliding with something else. Makes the solar panel planetary array useable without a lot of pre work!
Another tutorial idea would be for the critical photon-antimatter fuel production chain. Basics should be similar to this one with the Ray Receivers set to the other mode, but the rations after that are a bit tricky...

I'm curious how your gameplay is feeling given the size of your spheres? After starting to build a large dyson sphere, frame rate tanks and causes issues with clicks being misregistered, so I was wondering if you had a solution for this?

I just tried to place it as well and the belts going into and coming out of the splitters on the inner most ray receivers and the furthest outer ray receivers within the rocket silos are colliding. I am going to remover the belts from the print and then just add them back in manually and I think it will work, we will see.
Did these blueprint break with one of the recent patches? I've tried 2 planets and can't get the builder or receivers to work at any meridian on the south pole
I'm having the same issue - it's saying that it can't build the Dyson Sphere Builder South Pole Blueprint because of a collision - when you zoom in, the offending items are the belts coming in and out of the Splitters. Has anyone found a remedy for this?
@@russellmurphy1 had the same issue. I had to right click the belts on the right panel to remove all belts. It then let me place the blueprint and I had to manually re-add the belts and also the splitters for the guns. Hopefully if I take a fresh blueprint it will then let me use it on another planet.
I ended up rebuilding the design by strategically pausing the video and excessive alt tab use. I wish I had realized you could remove the belts from an existing blueprint 😂
after putting it down without belts and re doing them I took a fresh blueprint. Unfortunately, it it is still broken. The issue is with the belts going in and out of the splitters on the 1st and 3rd inner ray receiver rings. I really hope the devs can fix that. Incidentally the exact same issue happens with the ray receiver circle 1 blueprint.
Remove the splitters its easier to rebuild, than go back to the original blueprint, find all the offending collisions and remove them and recut the blueprint

One many outstanding videos you have done for this game, thanks! One point I am not clear on, what is the purpose of having multiple Dyson Swarms setup? You mentioned setting your launchers to different values but I didn't really catch why someone would or wouldn't want to do that?
My late game is runs like 12~16fps even I have a 3900x and 3080ti, runs on ssd. but you're game is quite a smooth and looks good. Is there any tip to maintain fps or mod?
This might be a stupid question.. but how do you easily select all of the characters in the blueprint file to copy? Scrolling along takes forever and I've tried shift + click but if I copy a blueprint that way it crashes the game :)..
I don't have DSP, but I play some browser games which use savestrings. You could try ctrl-A, the "select all" hotkey common to most applications, and if that doesn't work, the following 3 steps: (1) click the string, (2) Home to move to the first character, (3) shift-End to move to the last character and mark everything in between.
nilaus feels they are kind of cheaty and defeat the purpose of building the dyson sphere. so yes they are good, but a little too good. and he is choosing not to use them for this playthrough.

These days I can get crazy amounts of power out of my dyson sphere by feeding my ray receivers graviton lenses that are proliferated by mark 3 proliferated proliferator sprays, +300 power generation from my ray receivers
@@syzygy4702 ahh, that is not what you did - putting one on white dwarf makes perfect sense. You will continue farming it even after it turns into black dwarf. You are already preparing for end times. Make sure to tap into black hole as well.

I'm really looking forward to part 2 of the hub. The transition of early to mid is somewhere I still struggle with.

The starter hub blueprint was perfect. Thanks for taking the time to separate it out by 60 units.
From a cartography perspective, the lines where they "reset" are called baselines. Great video again, can't wait to get to this point in the game.
