    "Specific things we like to see" - more blueprints for everything

    I wished so much that the Let's play was going on, because I enjoyed it so much. And that being said, thank you for explaining in details why this isn't going to work, so i can really understand this. It seems like all godd things will have to come to an end at some time.
    And let me add: what a beatiful, beatiful and nice Base tour as the final Episode, i like that very much. Especially those close ups on all those gorgeous Dyson Spheres.

    As far as content I'd like to see, I'd suggest a master class on the purple and green sciences (those might be in production anyway), transitioning from INTRAstellar to INTERstellar logistics (what to build on-site, what to move between solar systems, etc.) because I'm struggling with that a bit, and maybe blueprints for intermediate builds that are needed en masse--things like EM turbines/green engines, processors, that kind of thing.
    Also, I wanted to say thanks for doing this Let's Play. I learned a lot from it, and I've been using it as a guideline for my own playthrough.

    You’re still the best on YT for your design concepts. I’ve expanded this build to create 6 full belts of white cubes. 180/sec. Been looking around to see if I can find anyone creating truly massive endgame builds like you are but most “endgame science facilities” comprise of a polar research station with maybe a dozen matrixes, while my research planet has over 5000. Thanks so much for showing us how it’s done!

    17:42 When it came to purple research, that brief comment about also having a little excess hydrogen like it was a nothing issue amazes me. This was one of the most crippling issues I had to deal with, as It almost never got consumed as everything that used it kept drawing from gas giants instead since it was invariably a shorter logistics path. It has been a while since I played it and I'm wondering has an update come though where we gained the ability to prioritise sources of resources, i.e. planet first over gas giant? Or did you simply avoid gas giant mining entirely in any system where you needed to generate excess hydrogen?

    • @lewisleslie2821
      @lewisleslie2821 3 года назад +3

      I believe the logistics stations which request hydrogen have a small box at the bottom named “orbital collector”. You can uncheck it and the hydrogen will only come from other sources (like oil refineries), or keep it checked and the gas giants will supply those stations.

    The balance between towers making the same product does need some work. Same thing happens on the smelter planets, where one tower will go empty first. I use belts as much as possible, to move the product instead of drones where I can. I have also played with belts load balancing the towers, on what you consider the back side of the tower. Have not come up with a method that works for more than two towers though.
    Thanks for the tour... Only thing missing was the massive turbines build needed to provide for the strange matter, and particle containers.
    I had to add in Titanium Crystals to my Casmir Crystal builds, as the Optical crystals mining would not keep up.

    • @brohvakiindova4452
      @brohvakiindova4452 3 года назад

      just have a slight overproduction of whatever material is needed each step down the line, most of the time perfect ratios are fine if you build up bottom to top and let the previous step buffer while you're building the next one (which naturally happens usually)
      having overproduction that doesn't suck up too many ressources is actually preferable to running dry (unless we're talking hydrogen clogging up)
      if towers run dry solely because of transportation then just do the infinite logistics carrier engine upgrade until the drones can keep up with demand

    • @tlheart
      @tlheart 3 года назад

      @@brohvakiindova4452 Does not change anything when having more than one tower producing the same item. The game prioritizes one tower, until it is empty, then changes towers. It will not pull equally from 2 or 3, or more towers. It pulls from one tower until it no longer has supply, and the through put of one tower is not enough for some builds.

    • @brohvakiindova4452
      @brohvakiindova4452 3 года назад

      @@tlheart it pulls from the closest tower I think but yeah I get your issue
      have you tried out giving the pulling towers no drones so the production towers will send their products? maybe then it's a bit more even

    • @tlheart
      @tlheart 3 года назад +1

      @@brohvakiindova4452 ACtually it pulls from the first tower built that is in close proximity. If you have three towers, all making iron ingots, only one will be used until it runs out of supplies, regardless or what towers have drones and ships. The logic of the ships are, I need X, searching for tower with X, Found first tower with X, Does it have enough for full load? Yes go get it, no search for next tower.

    • @brohvakiindova4452
      @brohvakiindova4452 3 года назад

      @@tlheart annoying, so but when you have enough production the other supply towers will also fill the demand once the first tower is empty or not? the first tower will still be targeted with a few drones given that it still gets 120 ingots/second with 4 intake belts so as they would then send the remaining drones to the next tower right?
      still kind of messy but with fast enough drones it should theoretically be workable
      with iron copper etc. this might still work fine but I'd assume the smaller the throughput the more likely a tower will be "starved"
      so the only solutions are basically belting them together or isolating them on different planets?

    What if you centralize the science exports? Each line of interstellar logistics could have only one tower exporting the science and the rest would be funneling their production to it via belts so every time a load of science goes to your science hub all lines will start producing.

    Cool planet but what about your ressources logistic around the galaxy, what hub base do you use on the mining planet to transport the huge amount of mats etc ?

    • @brohvakiindova4452
      @brohvakiindova4452 3 года назад

      mining planet is pretty simple but a slight investment: for maximum "endgame" proof build just add an ILS for every single ore patch (you can still string two or three together if they're conveniently close ofc)
      and give each individual miner a dedicated mk3 belt, reason for this is with high enough veins utilization tech a single miner can fill a whole belt and you never have to touch it again and with each miner filling an mk3 it's better/best to not bother with planetary drone transport etc.
      this way every mining patch can send its ressources directly to your smelter planets and you have optimal ressource throughput, and probably it's also more balanced since local logistics always pick the closest ore patches to fill your ILS
      just build a polar hub with power source of your choice and warpers and you're set
      you can totally get away with PLS and maybe 2-3 ILS for a very long time and the ILS for every single ore patch might be overkill for a long time but as long as you have more mining capacity than you consume it should virtually last forever with ore consumption reduction

    What about a 3x3 balancer on the outputs to go into the 3 interstellar logistic stations that you build in each planetary sector? I guess it wouldn't be a clean crisp design as we all like but I think it could help alleviate idle production lines due to vessels prioritizing one station.

  • @adamcloud9289

    Awesome video! I know this is a late comment, but do massive builds like this actually require high-level mining speed upgrades? Could you build a 60/ps build like this just going into white science for the first time, or is it a gradual upgrade? I feel like my miners wouldn't be able to keep up.

    How much science can you get out of a single world? You can mine, extract oil, extract gasses, refine, and smelt offworld, but all other pruduction must be crammed into a single world. Be an interesting challenge i think.

    • @fare-5174
      @fare-5174 3 года назад

      Isn't that how most people do it? Just cram a lot of things into your starter planet. It can take at least 30/s science + 12/s rockets and that's with 10-20% space remaining + some from the early construction days that you can clean up.
