    Sadly, Vanners have gone but Stephen Walters is still going strong in Sudbury and has a fab factory shop. Thankfully, back in the day, I bought quite a few Vanners ties and pocket squares. Locally, we have posh tie makers Van Buck in Sible Heddingham and it's good to see we still have English makers of lovely silk products for the dapper chap around here.

    I'm not a great lover of cravats, but I do have a Tootal green paisley one for the Goodwood Revival; I like it, but can vouch for the fact that it is too small and constantly slips.

      The less formal style here, whereas a true cravat requires a stick pin and a high collar and has the more narrow band and all that.

      He says the Yanks are wrong BUT no, we actually just make a distinction between two deerfent styles the neckwear, same as neck and bow ties.
