so I added a gel insole from walmart between the boot and liner and it filled all my excess space as well. I use the them intuition with my 908s and intuition v2s with my 909s
Love the videos. I was running 909 2022 moopies and the mediums are to large even when I put intuitions in them. I also am a 275 mondo and was running the Nick Lomax you actually convinced me to get them and love the MyFit 2nd skin in the Aeons. Bought some small 909 and now run the Nick Lomax liners in the small 909s and it is perfect now.
Definitely a game changing liner! I can see myself in you the first two sesh I had with mine. Too responsive to the point that it seems like the liner is controlling my blading but I was wrong. It's just too responsive and after the third sesh moving forward, it went well!
I really tried to like my old 909’s, tried the intuition premiums in them too, just could not like the skate at all. It did feel cheap and i tried everything to stop the heel lift with no success. Put the intuitions in my Lomax Aeons and it turned them into the perfect skate which i have been on since last December.
I had the same problem with the 909 shells in medium. No matter the liner I used, it was still too much room. I switched to small shells with intuition premiums (9-9.5). And that fits my feet perfectly. But to each their own.
I personally love the stock frames. lol and yours does look like TRS. Those were awesome skates. I remember being blown away at the size of the soul plate.
Intuition liners are incredible, I have the beers and ridders and love them. I'm a huge fan of the roces RL1 liners as well have them in my 908s and SLs. If you had baby feet like me I would send you a pair to try out.
Still trying to figure out how the 909s were an improvement over 908.. At least the spinning cuff bolt receptors of the 908 didnt break after one session. And they only made 909s 5mm bigger when they easily couldve made them a 10mm difference to fill the in-between sizes...durrrrrr
I agree, if you have to spend that much on something that is just so/so even with the best liners and frames then it's not worth it. Sell them off and get something better. Factions, Iqons etc. It's a wonder you have never tried the Fifth Elements either, such a great quality boot, good for wide feet, memory buckle is fire, nice flex and support and they slide super fast all for a decent price.
I've never touched an Intuition liner, so I don't have that frame of reference, but I'm very curious what you'd think of the Tim Franken pro skates. They're premium skates for almost budget price. There's a "used" floor model size 11 at Play It Again Sports right now for $149. I've seen crazy pricing all over the place on the Frankens, but that's a killer deal.
I got this liner with 909 and this is a horrible setup for me i have absolutely no fun! I think this is a really good product but not for everybody, i put the premium liner with 909 and trimax setup and i really like that this way.
I loved the 908s.. but that being said I paid $160 with free shipping and put used frames and wheels on THEM. If I was gonna spend $800+, I would buy a fucking car lol
The standard black, white or gray 909s are a lot cheaper than the braindead ones. I prefer the stock liner to the intuitions but that's just me. They are the best fitting skate I've ever had. Everyone's feet are different 🤷
Yep. Why I’m on Factions, love the boots overall and yeah, it’s up in that price range after getting frames/wheels/bearings if you’re picky about any those items. Top notch boots in my opinion though and I’ll probably keep them for many years and just replace souls/frames/wheels.
I think the same. I’d throw some factions for this price. Even liking the customizing stuff, for me, who (for now) lives in Brazil, the need for buying more stuff then out of the box skate is a death sentence for any wallet. For this reason I’ve got a pair of razors SL Hendersons and putted a slimline II frames that I already had on them. For sure thems are awesome skates for the people who they fit out of the box, but with the danger of not being one of these people, I’d prefer to go on knowing where I put my feet
It’s ridiculous expensive. My SEBA CJ2 Prime were $400+ boot only, $500+ for the carbons.. they come with an Intuition like liner which most people would find to work great.. but if you wanted to swap it out for an actual Intuition liner, there’s another $200.. so you’re looking at $600-700 for a boot only skate with Intuition liners.. then you add whatever frame & wheel setup you want. Let’s seay you go with a Oysi medium like I have currently.. for the frames, 8 wheels & bearings you’ll be anywhere from the $160-200 range. Your full setup is then between $700-900. If you go anti rocker set up like GC FLT3 then you save yourself a $50-60. It’s crazy to think that we’re skating around with nearly $1000 on our feet
I think the liner is the biggest issue, but I think there are good liner solutions that aren't intuition level either. I mean I honestly like my 909 with the dead shocks and aeon basic liners. I think they them liner has too much around the ankle and not enough at the front and doesn't Balance right
Having to go out and spend another $200 on liners to make what is already a very expensive skate without adding the price of the Diri fames just isn't worth it. Having size UK 4/5 feet I'm uses to having to ride most brands bigger, beside my trusty Salomons. Before getting rid... Try using your Razor liners, if you haven't already, or Pad out the toe box with a sock, which is what I use to do
sell 'em & don't even feel some type of way about it. They're not for everyone. Doesn't make them a bad skate, just not your cup of tea. I could put Intuitions in a pair of Impalas & make it work if need be but it's not that imperitive for me and I'm assuming neither is it for you. I haven't tried them with Intuitions but I have tried them with Reign v3, MyFit Prime & 2nd Skins & all were an improvement but not to the point where it made think a 909 could be my daily.
You’ll have those liners for a long time though to be fair, and you’ll be able to use them in your next skates. I don’t feel like it’s a terrible purchase, but it does suck that you have to spend all of that to get a skate that you like.
My feet didn't get the memo, I like the idea of Intuitions, but not a fan of the feel at all. I'm a squidgy squishy liner kind of guy, I just wish the ones I generally use would last as long as Intuitions. RIP the 909s. After everything it almost seems like the Cults are still the ones for you.
Have you tried the Fatboy or Crown liners? I'm looking into the Sway Pros and kinda feel like I'll end up with the same opinions as you lol. Just hoping they don't fall apart super fast 😂
@@AlmostLakai94 Yes, I have both! The Fatboys are super squidgy and I actually prefer the Crowns which have a little bit more substance whilst also breaking in nicely and being super soft feeling. As long as you have a little space for the Crowns they're great! I use them in the Sways and my Remz.
@@AlmostLakai94 oh and as for falling apart I got a little over a year out of mine before they packed out fully and starting ripping at the top. I had the first iteration of the farmer crowns (the purple ones.)
@@chilli-iceolive-abode2447 I'll be rotating with my Aeons if I get the new Farmers so that's definitely a good amount of time for it to last. I was considering getting the basic sways and trying the Fatboy liner eventually but I think I'll go the crown route. Appreciate this 🙏🏽
I just wait til the style is out and pick up the discount. Got a complete brain dead theme with tnec frames for 245$ Haha you can get these prices too. Just not on intuition. 😂
I have the Danny beer and they came with intuition, 500 bucks The Ridder are 400 right now with intuition liners as well. Much cheaper than buying the brain dead and then adding the intuition liner. Plus ridiculously expensive frames. It's not a necessity to pay $800 for a pair of comfortable thems. Much love though ❤️
909's are way overpriced for what they offer stock. As you guys said, you can have custom premium skates for price of the 909's with intuition liners. And don't get me started on their colab skates... THEM became hypebeast skates sadly.
Intuition liners are an investment. Somthing you’ll use in multiple skates. Also don’t think you gave the them frames a fair shake. The souls and frames are meant to break in an complement the way you skate which is why so many people love them
2EZ4B well Ben, you know which skates I’m gonna tell you to get 😏 😵💫🌀 MESMER 🌀 they are perfect right out the box 👌 😵💫. I know you’ve already tried those out already but imo they are the best skates. Plus, I wanted to leave a comment on your video 👌🏄♂️
I have never tried 909s, they really look good but I think it’s overpriced. In my opinion rollerblading as a sport is still in development phase, we need more people into the sport, in current marketing plan with Them Skates it’s like the sport is in sophisticated phase with a small group of people, some people bought 4 5 pairs of Them skates already and it looked like business is growing and some other companies are trying to do the same, but the reality is different, this is not a healthy growth. Imagine as a new person by the current comeback of rollerblading you are interested in the sport but after some research you found out that skates are too expensive, imagine you are a parent and probably you choose a cheaper alternative scooter over rollerblades to your kid, and there is no size or growing feet issues and easily could enter a skatepark and start having fun. I think as a stock setup, skates should be durable and more affordable. Probably that’s why Them Skates is trying to enter 80mm market also, because the current market is saturated for aggressive “Them” skates. On the other hand I have high hopes for new upcoming Mesmer and Blank skates, also Roces is always a good alternative.
Honestly you can tell your not happy dude, sell, get yourself something you love and customise accordingly, don't skate an uber expensive setup your only 50% happy with!
I ride a medium shell with intuitions and I'm a size 11.5 shoe -- you probably have so much extra space in that boot, you definitely could have squeezed into a small shell with intuition's. 😅😅 -- finding the right shell size can be such a nightmare, I've sold so many skates on blade/trade just looking for the perfect size. 🥲

Man, you been rocking so many different setups lately. Love the feedback on everything!
Thanks Chris!
Hopefully soon, Them will come out with a Smedium size shell. It would help so much.
And whatever the XS-S equivalent is, because the issue runs across all sizes.

Fairly certain size 10-10.5US
I've had the same pair of Intuitions for 6 years and they are still great and I skate them A LOT. I'd say that was money well spent.
