    Great video and great info. But the intuition song at the beginning scared the hell out of me it was so loud 😂

    Lol at Dominic. Good review - I think the the Them x Intuition collab is great as they've 'packed' out the liners specifically for 908s/909s shells. then I think with that you can heat mould them for an even better fit.

    • @wheelsceneblading
      @wheelsceneblading  4 года назад

      That's what is interesting me. My only concern is the Them X Intuition liner doesn't have the option of removing the X pad at the back as it's built in. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it's made.

    I know Joey McGarry already pointed this out but I wanted to echo that the boot dryer really does work to prevent any bacteria from colonizing them after a session.
    Great for running shoes, too, if you run.

    I paid around 200 to get a pair of Roces RL1 liners. So these aren't the most expensive liners anymore. That being said the RL1 liner has allowed my middle age ass to do a LOT of tricks I couldn't do in the floppy stock liner. The investment in high end aftermarket liners can definitely be worth it.

    • @wheelsceneblading
      @wheelsceneblading  3 года назад

      It's all about aftermarket liners. The difference between those and some stock liners can be huge

    The yellow Velcro-on H-piece is thicker but softer. The Black one is stiffer and more precise. The Black ones were too uncomfortable, the yellow are ok.

    I have the initiations as well love them for aggressive then make my razors shifts and fifth elements feel like new skates the only issue I had is with the heel pads the Velcro is like way stronger than the glue used on them and if you don’t carefully pull them off the Velcro will stay behind and you will just end up with the foam in your hand however you can just place the pad in the heel and then put the liner ontop and it doesn’t really move around even without the Velcro also the label on the black and yellow foam cuff thing rubs off easily which is sorta annoying on a 200 dollar liner but other than that they are amazing even the stock laces feel very nice I have no really need to change them I am a size 285mm medium liner it fits great into all my skates

    • @wheelsceneblading
      @wheelsceneblading  4 года назад

      I wish I'd had then when I was skating the Fifth Elements - I might have stuck with them. The soft cuffs on the Fifths really put me off after a while.

    Have you not got the black Velcro inserts attached onto the liners in this video? I’ve got V1 and they come with black(stiffer) and yellow(less stiff) inserts

    • @wheelsceneblading
      @wheelsceneblading  3 года назад

      I don't use any inserts, no

    • @alexwild1435
      @alexwild1435 2 года назад

      Probably irrelevant now as this video is so old, but you definitely have the black Velcro support attached in this video. The yellow part doesn’t go over the black area it replaces it. When you take the black support off it’s just black Velcro underneath.

  • @ericbernardi8116
    @ericbernardi8116 4 года назад +1

    I think the black ones are the stiffer not the yellow... and you can remove it completely if you don't like it that stiff ;)

    • @wheelsceneblading
      @wheelsceneblading  4 года назад

      You are referring to the H-bar at the back of the liner. I never had this on the liner because I already found the liners stiff enough.

    • @wheelsceneblading
      @wheelsceneblading  4 года назад +2

      I skate a lot of ledges and street, so the cuffs and soul plates give up pretty quick. SO, yeah, two pairs of skates a year is about right!

    My friend has 909 with medium intuition liner he is us10.5 makes uk9.5 and he said his toes curls up in the liner. Are you sure you can fit in medium liner? Have you tried it ? Because I need to get one I'm also 10.5us.

    • @wheelsceneblading
      @wheelsceneblading  4 года назад +2

      I skated the medium liner in a medium shell and had no issue. If in doubt, get the large liner. Both fit in a medium 908 shell. The toe so is stretchy that I highly doubt it's the liner making his toes curl, it's probably the shell. Also, you have to account for the fact that everyone's feet are different shape. I have really long skinny toes.

    Hey, thank you so much for the review! I have pretty wide feet and always have problems with the inside of my feet cause I get blisters etc :-( that’s why I want to get a new liner and I am really considering these. But now you said they are really narrow and I’m afraid, they will hurt my feet even more. What are your thoughts on this? I have a european size 42.

    • @ericbernardi8116
      @ericbernardi8116 4 года назад

      I think you get blisters when the foot is moving inside the boot... if it is too narrow usually you get pressure points instead... if you just need more comfort I would recommend a much cheaper MyFit Liner, they are much softer and thicker and also heat moldable. The Intuition is not that comfy but control and power transfer is just on another level than other liners IMO...

    when you downsize in boots. do you get a liner true to size? or a liner size the same size as the boot??

    • @wheelsceneblading
      @wheelsceneblading  3 года назад +1

      Always get the liner the same size as your foot. You downside in the shell, not the liner.

    I been havinbg heel lift issues with the small intuition liners, Im not sure what will fix this - i was thinking downsizing to extra small but im concern it will just make my foot too cramped rather than solve the issue of heel lifts. Any suggestions?
