First few tricks on the ledge in the them frames I was like "wow Ben is looking really stylish." IT'S THE PANTS! Thats the fit for you, IMO. The baggy but not too baggy look is my favorite. Super stylish and you can wear that style even when you're not skating - roll the cuff once or twice, make sure they are pressed or at least wrinkle-free. 👌
Also, this adventure seemed equal parts daunting and thrilling. I can't imagine how long you were out there. Great video, as always.

Great vid as always my inner nerd needs to clarify that UHMW is a polyethylene and I’ve heard some people report as being a bit sticky once worn in. Delrin is a brand name for a material called polyoxymethelene (Fingers crossed I’ve remembered how to spell that) its strong, low friction material that’s self lubricating. I use it for bushings and washers in my home shop, also makes insane anti-rockers.

Two issues I've found with Oysi Mediums: 1) they are longer than many and that makes them feel more like skis, 2) you need 57mm or larger inner wheels or the frame hits the ground on tight turns and some hills/ridges. But they are super smooth on the rails, just butter.

Like the other viewers' sentiment/s, these videos are fun to watch and mega informative. Like I've said to you before, your style is steezy as well, my dude. One thing I've never been able to wrap my head around is aluminum frames. Like all rollers, sometimes I miss the h-block/center of the frame, and with aluminum frames that are FAR less forgiving than hard plastic. WAY back in the day, when USD was still called 'Upside Down,' I put aluminum grind plates on them for mini and vert ramp coping tricks, but for street, they were useless; considering that I was skating longer rails at that time (the 90s - to early 00s), which alludes to the aluminum plates being ideal, but they never performed like the differently colored bolt on grind plates.
Does anyone else remember bolting those on in the 90s? Talk about nostalgia! The colors signified faster or slower depending on the grind surface. Looking back, it's funny knowing that the upcoming youth have no idea how good they have it. Those days are long over and the skate progression is largely the reason the sport has changed so much. The soul plates were the size of our negative sides in this day and age. Anyway, I digress...
I've been skating the Ground Control "Featherlight 3" frames for quite some time and they're hands down THE industry leader, in my humble opinion. Does anyone else feel as though the FLT3 should've been in the mix? That stated, I exclusively roll anti-rocker, which definitely makes a difference. I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like I could tell a difference in Ben's performance, I.e., it looked smoother, not as much speed was needed, and the adjustment phase appeared natural. That's how I feel about the majority of GCs frames after having skated quite a few over the years. Awesome video, mate!

As old as they are, there is no better frame for flat than the kaltiks ... many underestimate them, even without having skate yet with the kaltiks. No one noticed, but it is the oldest flat frames that still sell in the market and many brands try to do something like Kaltik in the wheel bite.

I honestly can't believe the kaltik v1s took it, butt I love the oysi medium frames. I'm not a big fan of the super deep groove on the kaltiks, butt I heard if you grind or sand the 2 pointy parts on the bottom of the frame at end of h blocks they are better on ledges. I'm willing to sacrifice a little wheel bite protection for a more favorable groove. Great video though 🙏

What I would love to see is a comparison of how solid the frames mount to the skate. LIke how much do they bend when applying sideway force. Maybe some jig to get the same force to really see how the powertransfer is. Good test though. Testing nine different frames in one session might be too many, since you get tired.

If you have some skate shop sites and you know what you're looking for it's no more time consuming than selecting any new wheels. So people don't be put off trying them out if you haven't yet!
There's a lot of different sizes you can use as well. I used to go pretty standard and go 65mm and 58mm. Did 64mm and 60mm before as well for a crazy rocker out the box. And last time I used them with 68mm and 60mm (the biggest you can really go and with wheel wells) and once I wore a rocker in they were golden.
